Yelp usually does not let me down, but there's always a first for everything and I wish it didn't have to cost me $275. I have been using cleaning services for 20 years and I love them so I wanted to gift my friend a cleaning since she works a demanding job. I know every service is different but my reference points are $250 for a 5200 sqft home in Orange County and $100 for a 3200 sqft home in Dallas,Texas. I was prepared and budgeting to pay $150 for my friends house in Bakersfield. Nicole quoted $185 for 1800 sqft 3 bedroom. And she justified the cost by telling me that the cost of cleaning products went up, they have an experienced team, cost of wages increased, etc. Although the estimate was higher than what I was expecting, she was very persuasive and with 5 stars in Yelp I thought there was something special about her. This is we're stuff started getting hairy: We tried to schedule with her on the weekends but she doesn't work weekends. This sort of didn't make sense to me but hey I respect it. It's your business so you can command whatever working hours you want especially if you're a hot shot on Yelp. Okay I wish that was the worst part of this story. So Nicole gets to the house at 1:30, her crew starts cleaning while she assessed and sent me a heads up text saying that total cost would be "around $400." CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW WE GO FROM a quote of $185 to "around $400"???? So we are texting back and forth. She's claiming my friends place is covered in filth, which is a complete lie, and proceeds to blow up my phone with pictures of my friend's toilet, bathtub, shower, etc. Lady, I know what her house looks like I was living in it and would never agree to stay in a dirty house. Nicole says she will discount her up charge of $400 to $275 but at this point I wanted to say no and have her leave. I was honestly scared because I don't know Nicole or her crew and for my friend's safety I just wanted to pay the money and have her leave. I'm sure she did a fine job cleaning, but the way the way she handled expectations was unprofessional and scammy. My friend confirmed the place was clean and wanted to call her back for routine but didn't because of the way she treated me. I hope that she took my feedback to heart, but based on her poor character I doubt it. Sharing screenshots of our conversation so people know this was a real situation and don't get scammed by her in the future.

The lady that cleans my house is very sweet and I feel very comfortable with her in my home. I feel so comfortable that I have left her alone in my home while I went to the gym. She always asks me to look around when she is through making sure nothing was missed. The price is very reasonable. She quoted me $400, so in my head I was factoring tips for her staff. However when they cleaned the house it was a basic clean. What you would expect in a weekly cleaning, NOT a deep clean. I had to specifically ask and remind the crew that I requested prior that the windows were cleaned inside and out. The did not clean the outside until I had to ask and they called their boss to confirm. The slider door track wasn't cleaned, base boards, doors, trim, wasn't cleaned free of finger prints, just not what you expect when you state very clearly your expectations. The realtor of course had nothing to say but patronize me about how it wasn't them, blah blah, I reiterated THEY recommended her and I not only didn't get what I paid $150+ extra for but I had to re clean my own house for the photos after paying $550! The quality of service is a systemic problem in this town filled with corruption and lies. I DID NOT tip voluntarily and immediately complained to the referee of the transaction. Why would I tip if I wasn't happy, it was what I was billed.?Toxic, bullying and intimidation filled with lies is how this town operates. Good riddance.

When Thursday afternoon came they were running late and didn't show up because of her team over extending services for another client that shouldn't have been done. So we decided to give them a second chance and reschedule for Monday morning July 21st 830 and was promised by Ms. Mayra we would be the first customer cleaning on the list . Ha! Wrong 9:30 rolled around and the calls kept going to voicemail not answering calls I guess.Finally was able to reach Ms.Mayra and she had a unpleasant unprofessional tone and said that we mixed up the hours and that we had an appointment at 10 somewhere else and she would be there by 10? Huh? Wanted to give Ms. Mayra and her team business but this is not worth the time when you don't show up and try to put blame on the customer. Like I said don't bother with hiring her at all.

The owner, Reed, checked on it and determined it was defective paint that he purchased from Sherwin Williams. The CAPPS painting crew repainted the entire Facia board. Looks terrific. Lucky for me, Reed CAPPS is honest. Not a whole lot of that going around these days. The crew is polite and cleaned up to my satisfaction, and I'm picky.
