I ordered a bowl today which came with coconut - turns out toasted coconut is a 59 cents upcharge since the employee made it with the raw coconut (which I didn't want in the first place). She asked me to pay for the swap because she "can't make the executive decision" to correct the order. Hm, ok - nope. Again, delicious treats for a summer day but could have better management that trains employees to allow customer satisfaction. I'll go to another açaí spot next time instead *eyeroll*. read more

This place has some of the best (if not THE best) acai bowls, smoothies and juices in Buffalo. The interior is a little on the smaller side, so if you're coming at a busier time it's not guaranteed you'll have a spot to eat, especially if you're bringing a friend. That being said, despite them being frequently busy, the wait isn't that long and I typically wait between 5 and 10 minutes. The Elmwood location also offers wraps and salads which are decent, but not anything super amazing. If you come here I definitely recommend ordering a smoothie or an acai bowl- the Pink Cadillac being my personal favorite! read more

Squeeze is a trendy and cute juicery/smoothie/salad feel good food place. I recently visited for the first time ... and loved it so much I went the next evening! The first time I got the "three little birds" smoothie. It was delicious and HUGE and SO filling - I intended it to be a meal and it did the job. What I like about the smoothie and the other drinks on the menu is that there are no extra sugars or additives. The 2nd night I went I got the "Hotel California" which is also HUGE and filling and delicious. At first I was thrown off that the salad wasn't made to order. From my understanding what's in the fridge are the options but that's okay because the salad was fresh. In the fridge you can also get a juice to go and purchase hummus, pudding, and an array of salads, wraps, bowls. Lastly, I also like that the website is very informative. Matcha Bowls?! Pitaya Bowls?! Smoothies and juices galore. I love Squeeze Juicery. Fresh ingredients and fresh flavors will have you coming back for more. As the second location, situated here on Elmwood (next to Jimmy Johns), I walked in here today to grab a refreshing smoothie on my little walk of Elmwood. The place is cute, not huge, and clean. Like, hospital grade clean (probably cleaner). There is some window seating available and a couple tables inside and outside if you choose to stay for awhile. I did not. I checked out the grab and go case, which had some hummus, salads (I did score a Mexacali Blues salad from there, really delish, very very fresh and awesome dressing), some juices and some power juice shots. Nice selection for not being completely stocked. The girls behind the counter were very friendly and informative (because I was totally scoping out the Matcha Bowls, but I already had breakfast, so I'm saving it for my next trip in. I did used my Belly loyalty card to grab the salad and an Escape smoothie (which wasn't on the menu, only on the chalkboard). It had Coconut cream, Pineapple and Bananas. There was a bit of a wait to get the smoothie, but I wasn't in a hurry, although I am wondering how line is in the morning with people on the way to work. I would love to grab one on the way in, but in true Jenn fashion, I'm usually 5 minutes late everywhere, and this could probably tack on another 5 mintues. However, the smoothie was so fresh, and full of flavor, with little chunks of pineapple, I will gladly get up a couple minutes earlier to snag a smoothie from the! I had a coupon to buy one smoothie and get one free. It cost about $8. I believe there's only one smoothie size and it's large. I got the Mrs. Robinson smoothie. It has peaches, cinnamon, pecan butter, and some other things. It tasted pretty bland. It tasted pretty bland. I absolutely love this place. I walked in and I love that the place was so crisp and fresh and clean looking. I really like the minimalistic Decour in the flowerpots in the wood everything is just great. I like that they also sell food to go so if I want to stop by in the morning to pick up a salad for lunch I can just toss it in the fridge at work. They also sell thingslike granola and already made juices. I actually ordered the "in the ghetto ". And I added coffee, I love everything. It was really really good. And actually I'm not a fan of deeds, and I didn't realize they were deep in there until I got it, but it was still amazing. I will deff be going back. read more

First time here. A walking pit stop before Lexington Coop. The interior is spacious and clean. The blenders make a lot of noise - A LOT! The female employee who took my order was friendly and personable. The coupon was priced out wrong, so I paid more than I should have ... $1.11 but, it didn't help my overall feeling about the place. At any rate, the smoothie I purchased for my guest was supposed to have banana, and did not. The smoothie I purchased for myself was not supposed to have banana and it did. Squeeze had a pleasant vibe and kept a comfortable interior where I could wait for my smoothie. The menu was various enough for me to have a choice, but not so broad that it was overwhelming. My smoothie was made quickly, well and had a satisfying taste - enough where I comfortable paying and tipping a total of $9.10 for my drink. The service there was not rude, but not very welcoming either. Their staff looked a little bothered and definitely made me feel like I was getting in there way a bit. I have noticed that people usually leave after ordering as well - despite the relaxed atmosphere. Maybe they feel the same? I love myself a good juice, but I thought this place was only ok. Their juice was very bitter, which made it difficult to finish. Their juice was also more expensive than other local juice bars. I was really looking forward to trying Squeeze but after stopping by last week I can't give it more than a tentative three stars. I love the concept and the salad I had was goof but I'm confused about why they opened a restaurant on Elmwood rather than just, say, selling their juices at the Co-op. I walked in at least a few hours before closing and immediately had one of those "are you still open?" moments. It's not immediately clear what they sell or what's made fresh and what's made to go but since I wasn't welcomed or acknowledged when I walked in (I was the only customer and the clerk was standing at the counter) I just looked around and made my way to the refrigerator. You'd think from reading the menu that Squeeze would have a vibe, (like Fresh in Toronto not like the terrible Newbury Street) but from my experience at least it's an unfriendly, sterile, pre-made to go place. Not at all like the photos of their other location would have you think. I hope my next visit proves me wrong or it'll likely be my last. read more

I think Squeeze is an excellent addition to the Elmwood area. It's centrally located between Breckenridge and Auburn, (arguably the most vibrant stretch of Elmwood.) They offer a plethora of organic juices, smoothies, bowls and salads. I was impressed with the quality of ingredients and thought my smoothie was delicious, although I can't remember what it was called. It wasn't too expensive, considering there are two other juice bars on Elmwood, especially since they use organic produce. My only reason for knocking it down from five to four stars was the customer service. It was very cold and not welcoming. It almost matched the interior design (oh snap!) which I though was minimal and trendy, but did not give off a welcoming vibe. I will definitely be going back to try many more of their offerings, I just know what to expect now! read more

I used to be a fan of squeeze but now I can't decide. Their prices are high which is fine considering most juice bars are similar, however none of the salads are freshly made so you cannot substitute or remove anything. If I'm paying that much for my food, I'd like to be able to control what's in it. Their Mexicali salad is great for anyone who like spicy salads though. The juices and bowls are good as well. However, my last visit completely turned me off. As I was being cashed out for my salad, I glanced at the menu on the counter. All of their smoothies and drinks have cheeky names, but one particularly caught my eye. The "In the Ghetto" drink contains Almond Milk, Cacao, Peanut Butter, Banana, & Dates. I was appalled not only that they would think alone this was an acceptable name for a drink, but considering the ingredients they would still choose to name it this. Come on. You're going to name your chocolate smoothie "In the ghetto". It's 2016. Get it together. This is such a blatant act of carelessness. Regardless of my background or whatever, this is offensive to me as a human being. The fact that such a "community friendly" business would be so thoughtless and exclusive is pathetic to me, and I hope to see some change come before I return to squeeze. read more

I've recently become obsessed with Squeeze on Elmwood. I'm really trying to be more conscious about putting way more fruits and vegetables into my diet and I'm finding that doing it in smoothie or smoothie bowl form is a great way to do that. It just feels cleaner, doesn't weigh me down, and is super delicious. And you can tell that the sweetness comes from the fruits... no added sugars. What a great new spot on Elmwood Ave! I was initially drawn in by the modern, colorful decor and then totally blown away by their incredible smoothies. I had my first smoothie a week ago and I have already returned a second time to try another. I am in love! These smoothies are definitely pricey (think $7-8 each) but they're substantial and very filling. Plus, I love walking away knowing that I am fueling my body with healthy ingredients! The In The Ghetto smoothie is particularly delicious and guaranteed to satisfy even the hungriest person. I haven't tried any of their juices or solid foods yet but, if the smoothies are any indication, I am sure they'll be delicious and filled with all sorts of healthy ingredients too. read more
