Her professionalism, bedside manner and competence are beyond anything I have ever seen. Rocky is so afraid of going to the vet clinic, I literally had to pull him with all my strength. Since we've been having Dr Acosta do house calls, we are so relieved. She is fast, punctual, caring, and on top of it. We are thrilled to have found Dr Acosta and her prices are even better than what we were paying at Rocky's former clinic. Dr Acosta's way with animals and her caring demeanor is wonderful. Our dog warmed up to her right away even though he is afraid of everything and everyone. We've referred several other pet-owners to her and they have all been blown away by her expertise and ease around animals. No more sitting in waiting rooms while your pet is struggling to escape the smell of urine and disinfectants. She has now diagnosed several illnesses and even removed a fatty lipoma. I would surmise that she was having a panic attack along with her false pregnancy which the vet also stated. Fine. They got the false pregnancy part right. My problem is this: The dog is itchy. Before they advise my mom to switch the dog food or try something less processed, or even change her shampoo and the soap used for her bedding etc, they inject her a bunch of times and prescribed her medication to eat with her food. --forever?! The dog is 4. They didn't investigate the cause of her itching at all. I feel like especially when you have elderly dog owners, there's some level of trust that you put in a veterinarian especially when dealing with dogs who are pre-disposed to certain things like allergies and weight gain. I took this dog to my home, to give her a little more attention and figure out why she was acting so sick, and within a week I stopped all her "anti allergy" medication, changed her food to a bland diet, found these giant tufts of fur missing, brought her to MY vet in New Haven, and found out she had a crazy infection from her scratching and biting at an old bug bite. I have antibiotics for 10 days, Antiseptic spray to clean up the area, a cone so she leaves the infected area alone, sample bland diets, flea and tick meds that I'll be giving her after this infection clears up, healthier treat samples, her nails are clipped and they squeezed out her abdomen which had gathered some liquid and was making her uncomfy. I have to bring her in to a follow up on 7 days so the vet can make sure That I am doing what I'm supposed to be doing to ensure she heals properly. In one visit. All of this in one visit. 250 bucks later. My mom has spent over 200 dollars each visit to this shitty ass vet office and I am APPALLED at their lack of attention to detail. If this was the result of a tick bite, or some other deadly insect my moms dog would have DIED and my mom would still be out over 600 Dollars for them to laugh and say, yea beagles get itchy. I don't think there is ANY excuse for a vet to miss this. Especially if I noticed within a week of observing her while working and doing a million other things. Chunks of fur gone, and NO ONE noticed ? Disgusting .

The office staff is also very friendly and organized, always calling the day before an appointment to remind you of times and very friendly. This has Prompted me to realize that I have to literally wait by the phone for his incoming call. If I was shown to be frustrated & upset at from his message, since he does not have charts & explanations in front of him: he has even gone as far as to have slammed the phone in my face, knowing full well that I cannot call him back. Unless you don't mind dealing with a Sadistic Vet doctor who MICROMANAGES your DOGS health on the Fly & on the Run meanwhile, charging you with Astronomical amounts of Money each time: then this sociopathic Doctor is for you. I just wished to have never gone to this Rotten Man of a Vet Doctor!!!
