Absolutely the best Vets around! My 1 year old Frenchie ate a piece of leather and through the quick work by the vets and the staff they got Dozer back to feeling good! Thank you Stone Vet

    Vet office

I have been using stone vet for almost a year now and I have been very happy bringing my three dogs! Dr Anderson was great and provided a thorough exam on all three boys and did full blood panels to make sure they stay healthy! She also neutered my youngest dog and he did amazing! Everyone at stone vet has been so kind and caring and I'm so happy to find a new vet office!!!

    Miss Grace the Newfoundland puppy.

Thank you for the ICU team that took care of her, I can't thank you all enough.

Update to my earlier review which is equally negative. Central Hospital asked me for a review by…read moreemail which I was honest in that review and told them about the issues I experienced when I was there. They asked me if somebody could reach out to me and I said I prefer not to talk to them and just wanted to put the trauma behind me. Then today I received a letter from Central Hospital, which says because "my expectations regarding patient care" are inconsistent with the care they can provide I should just go elsewhere in the future. In other words it was unreasonable for me to ask questions and have a vet explain to me what treatment options they were considering for my pet or to ask to see another vet when it was apparent that the vet they assigned was insulted I was asking her questions? So rather than acknowledging that they could potentially improve their approach to the situation they instead said for the second time that I should just go to a different hospital (since the nurse told me to "go to another hospital" in the room when I practically begged her to see another vet because I was in tears). Obviously I was already going to never return there because I had such a negative experience there, but it's just beyond shocking to me that a veterinary ER instead of trying to respond in a way that is constructive and seek feedback about patient experiences just sends a letter to someone who elects to write a negative review that says "you should go somewhere else." This speaks volumes to me and confirms my very negative view of this facility. Ironically the letter opens with the sentence "you pet's medical condition is considered stable" which they would not even know whether that was correct or not because I never let them care for my pet.

Sophie just turned 10 yrs in December 2020 and she was our lil trooper. Sophie traveled across the country from the Midwest to Southern California to San Francisco to Connecticut and Florida as we followed her daddies career. She was so funny and quite the little character. She was such a happy girl thru the years and was a constant shadow no matter where we went. She loved her treats (even the ones I snuck over to her). Going for car rides just excited her so much she could hardly stand it and usually beat us to the car just waiting looking back at us. Her days at the doggie spa (shampoo blow dry, nails, teeth and the dreaded glands) just tuckered her out that she just slept once she got home. We will miss Sophie and just knowing the staff at Dr Vargoshe's was there for us in her passing brought comfort. We highly recommend this clinic for everything from boarding to care should you be looking for a clinic. Thank you again Dr V. & staff for all your services.

Being a nurse practioner (in people tho) but being aware of bloat which is a risk in sheperds rushed him here in the middle of the night. I was treated very professionally and treatment happened with the blink of an eye to save his life. The vet was amazing who was in the military and knew working dog lines like German sheperds very well. She acted quickly with all the protocol a bloat dog is expected to have. He required surgery for a gastropexy and by the time we left he was being prepped for surgery to save his life. The vet called me after surgery and informed me a mass was found in his spleen (another common issue with these dogs and can be life threatening if not found) and removed the spleen. He was kept for about a day and half and did great. The vet assistants were amazing, so compassionate and loved Wiley like he was part of their family. I am so grateful for their expertise care and also for their compassion towards our family. I was an extreme mess during this time and I thank each and every one of them for the wonderful care they gave to my boy. Thank you on so many levels again for saving my boy. I am forever grateful to the staff and practice in general.

Our baby became extremely ill in a matter of hours and we were in unfamiliar territory in Litchfield. We drove to the closest vet we could find who told us that there was nothing that could be done but recommended that we bring her to Dr. Price in Watertown if we wanted to keep trying. He immediately saw our pup, and determined 2 very unusual issues occurring simultaneously. He saved our baby and she went on to lead a very happy life along with our other pets. We continued to acquire many animals over the years from those that made their way to our front door or those that came from calls from people wanting a happy home for their fur babies that they could no longer care for. I have brought just about every imaginable pet problem to Dr. Steve and he was always empathetic while being analytical and creative. His knowledge is incredible because he constantly studies all the latest findings and continues to educate himself and his staff. I wish my doctors wanted to continually learn everything that is out there! Both he and Dr. Pricilla Kerwin are passionate and determined to find answers which will improve your pet's quality of life. If I told every tear-jerking story, this would become a book. So moving forward to when we moved out of state after 22 years, I actually would drive back for vet visits! Our entire family thought of Watertown Animal Hospital as family. Our trust has been unbudgeable! For those individuals who have trouble with cost, I can only suggest you find out what animal care costs at other places. Dr. Steve never suggested tests or services that were not absolutely necessary. In fact, there were times he suggested that we hold off to see if we could save money. But, what people don't realize is that the doctors at Watertown Animal Hospital become emotionally attached to every animal that comes through their doors and struggle to find the right answers for those difficult situations to make every situation as pleasant as possible for both the parents and their babies. These are true humanitarians or should I say " animaltarians" ( My own word!) And, BTW, I saw the same staff for over 20 years, and many of the front desk staff are still there after 32 years!!
