This place has really gone down hill!! Big time! I started going there 10 years ago and I loved it! The girls at the front desk were amazing and the techs too they loved the animals so much! The vets too! But now omg no way! Soooo sooo soo awful! Don't ever bring your babies there ever!!!!!!!! The front desk is soo rude and doesn't even look at you or even say hello to the animal then the vet tech Pricilla was the worst!!! Just a miserable grumpy angry women! Not a smile if you paid her I bring my cat she grabs him so hard with these huge gloves and towel doesn't say hello or anything! The vet was just as bad! Rude unfriendly uncaring just horrific! I have had animals for my whole life! I grew up with a little farm we had horses cats dogs etc so I know animals very well and I have been to many vets in my lifetime! This was the worst experience of my life! I would never bring my baby to that awful place ever again! The vet didn't even touch my cat other than jab him with the shot she said she couldn't listen to his heart or look at anything? Meanwhile they have done things yearly for ten years no problem! Anyway do not ever go waste your animals time and stress to not be showed any love or care or kindness! I will tell everyone I know and all the people I sent there to never go again! I don't want anyone else's babies to go through that treatment ever again! You guys need to be shut down! Idk anyone who would want to bring their babies to a place so full of anger and just unhappy miserable people! Who don't seem to care about the animals or the people who are bringing their babies there! You need a whole new staff and or retraining and some happy pills or therapy for them! Very caring and lovely staff helped me take care of my poor Oscar, who went through a torturous flare-up from his Lyme disease. He was in a terrible state, but everyone there, from the receptionists to the doctors, was patient and empathetic. Absolutely the BEST veterinary hospital. Dr Brunner is the best doctor my doggies have ever had. In addition, the entire staff (receptionists and technicians are amazing, helpful, compassionate, and accommodating). They are so good to my dogs. They have been treating our doggies for over 10 years. Dr Brunner is extremely knowledgeable, professional, empathetic and helpful. He's treated one of my doggies who's got a rare auto immune disorder and thanks to Dr Brunner, he's back to normal. I highly recommend it! read more

I wouldn't take my pets to any other vet in the area. I have used several other vets prior to NF Animal hospital opening And I have never felt more confident about my decision. They are very friendly from the moment you walk in. You never seem to wait long for your appointment. Recently I had an emergency where my dogs were in a house fire with tremendous amount of smoke. I have two dogs one was four and the other one was 10 years old. The four-year-old managed to get out of the area of the smoke but my 10-year-old Shih Tzu was blind and ended up being in the room with heavy smoke damage until the fireman went in to find him. My friend took my SHIH TZU to the animal hospital unannounced and they hooked him up to oxygen immediately and kept him for the day for observation. He ended up being fine with the care of the doctors at NewFairfield animal hospital. When it was time to put my dog to sleep the doctors couldn't be more passionate and caring during the process. I would not choose another vet Ever to care for my babies. NewFairfield is very lucky to have them here. read more

I'm quite happy with the staff and service at NF Animal Hospital. We just moved to the area a few months ago and my vet is now around 45 minutes away so it's a little bit of a hassle to go to them so I've been looking for a new vet... well I have to say that I'll be switching to NF Animal Hospital. My first encounter was when I brought my maltipoo, tali, to get groomed back in December 2012 (they have a pet spa as part of the animal hospital!). I was surprised by the cleanliness and the wonderful airiness of the place. Donna, the groomer, did a fantastic job, asked me to make sure I liked everything, triple checked to make sure I wasn't walking out unhappy and was so kind. I was very happy... and the price is fantastic as well! My second encounter was this past week when I brought in my newly adopted puppy on Monday to get checked out and again today to get rechecked. Dr Clowe was bubbly, sweet and loving! The vet techs are all the same way and very caring. They did a full checkup, shots, deworming and even gave me a puppy kit with a knot rope chew toy! I thought it was going to cost me an arm and a leg but I was pleasantly surprised by the total!! They did the recheck on his kennel cough for free and it felt like a full exam almost. They are also super patient with all the questions! Very happy w them! read more

New Fairfield Animal is a great place to bring your pet. I usually e-mail them and they are great and quick at getting back to you. When it is urgent, they will ask you to bring your pet on the same day. This is a huge relief! The staff is great and the doctors are always calling you to talk to you live. Well was very happy for about a year. Up until then I had only met 3 of the drs. I finally got to meet the 4th. She was standoffish right from the start. The appt did not go well to say the least. Then when I went to the head Dr to complain apparently she was not 100 percent truthful when he went to get her side of the story. She humiliated me and well frankly I thought I and my dog were made to look pretty bad. I will never go back. As a whole they are a decent hospitol. It's a shame that had to happen. The whole ordeal was in my opinion not handled very well. Caution if you go to complain do not expect drs who have worked together and have formed a professional bond to take your side . read more

We brought our 18 year old cat here for the past 12 years and they were the best even in her last moments with us! The doctors and staff are all great and have always treated our fur baby like she was their own! They are always willing to explore every option for your fur babies and handle everything with care and understanding! Recent negative experience with an employee Ashley has led me to find another vet. I was happy for 1.5 years with services but her rudeness during a telephone conversation we had approx. 10 days ago made me very uncomfortable. I understand that The pandemic has put xtra pressure on the practice but still not an excuse to not show common courtesy to customers. Also miscommunication between Dr. Chappa and I and Ashley created unnecessary tension. I do not usually complain but I spend alot of money here every year because I have 3 pets and did not deserve the unprofessional treatment. When I shared my concerns with Dr Chappa today she quickly stated that she sides with Ashley and she will send me my pets records. I wish someone would listen to the phone conversation I had with Ashley so they can hear how rude and inpatient she was. Yikes. Time to move on from this practice especially since nobody called me back to schedule an appointment for my cat which Is what I requested from Ashley because I did not want to drop my cat off to stay at the vet all day until they could see her. I offered to wait a week so my cat would be there for 30-45 mins, not all day. I also explained that my cat did not have fever and was eating. Ashley has no interest in setting appointment nor did she have any one from the office follow up with me. When I called Dr Chappa to discuss the situation today, it became crystal clear to me that customer concerns are not important. Thank you for reading my review. read more

My experiences with NF Animal Hospital has been nothing but great ! Dr Brunner is awesome. As are all the vets in this practice ! Dr Brunner is so caring ,takes time with you and your pet . If you have 100 questions he will answer them . Never once did I feel taken advantage of like some other places I have dealt with. The office staff is friendly and kind , many times I have called with questions about pain relief or other things and the office staff will make sure I have the answer in just a moment or they will call back in a very short time . Never left me waiting long. My sister now takes her two dogs here and she also is very impressed with them. The other great thing is , I find my bill very reasonable and they have trimmed my dogs nails free of charge. Not many places I know will do that for you .
