My family made the hour drive to Ford City which isn't the prettiest of places and were very pleasantly surprised with our experience at Dilick's. Dilick's is a small jewelry store off the main street going into Ford City. There is customer parking behind the building and walking into the store you have the ooo and awww of a typical jewelry store. I had done a good amount of research before hand and visited several other jewelry stores before coming to this one. Chris did a wonderful job of further educating me about rings and after showing me his collection, I was able to pick out something I really like and that my future wife loves. I am still very happy with my selection and have zero regrets. Since the purchase, we have come back for resizing and adjustments, and our last trip out will be to pick up the wedding bands! For someone who can't always make a decision, Chris was the right balance between having a strong professional opinion and not pushing the customer to purchase. I greatly appreciate his input and knowledge of the business and he was extremely fair with the price (comparing to sites such as bluenile.com). I would recommend the trip out to see him even if you are driving a little further than you want to. The experience you get from talking to a professional like Chris is well worth it.

It was easy to find and I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. I visited a little later in the afternoon. The fella that waited on me gave me the option to come back in 15 to 20 minutes to pick it up or to get it the next day. I told him I would be back in about an hour as I had other errands to do in the neighborhood. He made sure to tell me they close shop at 3:30 pm. I was pleased to return to the watch ready with the correct date and time updated. He charged me $7.99 which I feel is a fair price. I will return for battery replacements in the future.

They don't do battery replacements while you wait, so be aware, as I was a little caught off guard by that. I guess the mall kiosks have skewed my expectations a bit. The gentleman behind the counter said he could have it done in an hour. I returned promptly on the hour, and he apologized for not having gotten to it yet, and proceeded to replace the batteries on the spot, within a few minutes. The price was very reasonable at $4.99 per watch. Overall, I'd come back here to have batteries replaced. The guys were friendly and while the service wasn't on-the-spot, if you work downtown, just plan ahead, drop it off in the morning, and come back on your lunch break. They also had a small collection of estate jewelry, including a lot of really interesting vintage, luxury timepieces. My two recommendations to the owners: 1. If you have customers leave watches with you, even for a short period of time, give them a claim check. It just makes me feel better to have some form of receipt, and if you do a quick scan of the item for damage, it can protect you in case someone claims you scratched or broke something. 2. When surrounded by other jewelry stores offering instant watch battery replacement, you should probably do the same to compete. A dollar less doesn't really make up for the inconvenience of having to return....unless my visit was just a fluke.

I came to Henne in April 2023 to repurpose my grandmother's wedding band and engagement ring as a…read moregift for my mother for my wedding in August 2023. The rings were too small for her fingers and so my grandmother gave me these years and years ago since they didn't fit my mom. My mom had no idea of this surprise and her father (my grandfather) passed away a few months after I was born, so this was extremely special to her. I had brought a bunch of old gold jewelry to scrap to cover the cost of the repurposing and a diamond to mount to the center of the two rings that had a gold band to scrap. The first meeting with Madison was to design the new ring. Ultimately, we were not changing much - just resizing and adding a diamond. She seemed to understand the ask. We waited several weeks and they called to say we could come in and pick up the ring. Upon coming in, we met with a different person than Madison. He was assuming we were just paying out of pocket when I reminded him of the scrap value going towards the ring. He searched and had no idea what I was talking about. I insisted we wait until Madison was in to pay. Upon seeing the new ring, I tried it on, and realized they mounted the diamond to the wrong ring. These two rings are identical, however, they need to be stacked in a certain way to be flush. They didn't check for this and put it on the wrong ring. They covered the cost to fix it but it took the same amount of time as the original (4-6 weeks). Luckily, we approached them months before our actual wedding date with all these delays. Once finished with the fixes, Madison later called to tell us to come in on a specific day when she was working. We came in and got the gold appraisal as well. She pulled out all the old jewelry that I had provided but the gold band to the mounted diamond was not in the pile, which I also wanted to scrap. She went to look and couldn't find or access it. We had to come back again another day because the appraiser (maybe) had it locked up in his office. Finally, we came back to pick up the ring and obtain our scrap cash. Of course this was with a third person that I haven't met with before. But, I tried it on, all good and well - we left. Come day of the wedding, my mom cried, she loved it, etc. However, after wearing it the day of the wedding, two small diamonds got lost. Of course she was devastated, and didn't want me to take on the cost of this after paying for the original repurposing. Note that we did not have a crazy wedding nor is she the type of person to flair her hands around. She went upon herself to take it to a different jeweler who questioned the integrity of Henne given that they didn't put this "industry standard" coating on the rings to 1. Make them shinier 2. Lock in or seal the diamonds in. She had to pay another couple of hundred dollars out of pocket because of Henne's lack of professionalism and quality. I personally will never go back to Henne for any repurposing needs. They did not make this process easy or fun in any way (which was supposed to be a nice surprise for my mother) nor did I feel like my valuable items were in safe hands. The first week went by with nothing, so we called. He said the stones were a weird size so he had to order different ones, and it would be ready the following Thursday. That Thursday came around and still 0 COMMUNICATION. We called in again, to hear the same thing. That the stones they ordered were not the right size and they would keep in touch. No word AGAIN so we stopped by on Wednesday to see if it was going to be ready for the next day. They said yes and to come get it tomorrow (today). After 3 weeks of being in their hands, I figured it was going to be perfect. ABSOLUTELY NOT. He DESTROYED my engagement ring. The stones do not match at all, bumpy, THE RING IS CROOKED and bent on the inside. It's the WORST job I've ever seen. We walked right back in and got our money back. But he still didn't admit to his mistakes. Said my ring was a "nightmare" and told my fiance when he was ready to come buy a new ring to come to him. WTF. Now, my engagement ring is absolutely destroyed. I honestly can't believe this. If he KNEW it was not going to turn out right, THEN WHY EVEN ATTEMPT IT? DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR JEWERLY.
