I was referred to Dr. Peterman by another orthopedic surgeon in the same building. She told me I needed a total hip replacement. I had been reading a magazine in the waiting room concerning knee resurfacing surgery.. I said too bad they don't do this for hip replacements. She said" There is hip replacement surgery. I just don't perform them, but Dr. Peatman is qualified to do hip resurfacing surgery". She called his office and I went straight to his office.. was the kindest doctor full of knowledge still very young at the time, he put me at ease and explained everything about the surgery. Having hip replacement surgery was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I've had absolutely no pain in the hip., the morning after my surgery, I hesitated to put weight on that leg for fear of the pain that would happen in my hip. The nurse encouraged me go ahead. It'll be OK,I put my weight on the leg, in total amazement,I had absolutely zero pain deep in my hip. I had forgotten what it felt like to have zero pain in my hip. It was and still is to this day, amazing to be without pain. I love my hip-still to this day love my hip resurfacing surgery. I am so thankful for Dr Thomas Peatman. It goes without saying Dr. Peatman has and always will have his own special place in my heart. His office staff were also wonderful to me. I will add I was his first Hip Replacement Surgery. Talented wonderful surgeon. Yes I know. I'm just a little prejudice,after all, he gave me back my life he gave me back movement dancing ,walking even setting pain-free.

This is the reason I travel almost 200 miles to be treated by Dr. Peatman. The Webster Orthopedic Group is a class act. Every person I have dealt with has been friendly, polite and professional. Calls are answered or returned promptly, waiting room time for appointments is almost non-existent, Dr. Peatman and his staff are efficient and respectful of my time. Often, they get me in early and out quickly due to my long drive. All my crazy requests are handled efficiently with 5 star customer service. I have never been made to feel I'm asking for too much or wasting the staffs time. Dr. Peatman is a confident but not cocky surgeon who always makes me feel he has my best interests at heart. He takes time to answer my questions and explain treatments and procedures so I fully understand. He never appears to be in a hurry. During my surgeries, I have noticed the operating room support staff seem to enjoy working with Dr. Peatman. I even had one nurse tell me he is the best surgeon she had worked with. I can't think of a better endorsement.

This review is much overdue, so please forgive. We didn't know where to turn when our son…read moredeveloped severe abdominal pain. He was driving and collapsed forward in pain and could not regain a sitting position. It took 6-8 weeks of testing, imaging, medications and overwhelming frustration and concern. We ended up in Dr. Gardiner's office where he carefully examined the data, including approximately 50 needle samplings through our son's liver to the sight of a 2 in. mass. After Dr. Gartiner's review, he looked our 22 yr old son in the eye and said, Let's just get it out and evaluate the entire mass. My son was relived. The surgery had many complications since the mass had grown around the vena cava -- one wrong move and he could have bled out on the table. The diagnosis came in stages, took 6 weeks, and was found to be an extremely rare type of "tumor", an infection may be a better term. We were referred to the appropriate doctor/medical discipline and he was on Big Guns antibiotics for months. I give Dr. Gardiner credit for saving our son's life -- it was really close! He was a guiding light (BTW: SRV Hospital gets a D- for their part -- refused to give him any attention, not even water which was approved as was food, and the nurses just ignored him. We went to the Ombudsman who was nice, but the nursing staff... something very wrong!

The surgery he…read morerecommends is not intrusive and healing time is much faster then the conventional surgery of cutting you open. He takes special care to talk to you about your medical history. I have a reaction to most drugs and he seemed to work with me regarding this. It's not that I'm looking forward to any surgery, but he put me at ease and I'm not as apprehensive as I previously was. UPDATE: I had the surgery and there were 3 hernias that needed repair. The doctor and staff did a great job. The surgery lasted about 3 hours, more or less. The pain was under control, however I did get very sick on the narcotics they gave me. I can't handle narcotics, so that wasn't really their fault. It is the second day and although I spend much time resting, I think each day gets better. I will continue to recommend Dr. Gardiner as a very good surgeon, and If I or my husband ever need surgery again, this is the doctor of our choice.

Did that.. called to make sure they got them.. yes.. now Dr has to read him.. finally get an appointment 6 weeks later!!! Couldn't I have had an appointment after saying I made MRI appointment? I felt so good in fact, that I had to be careful because I did not feel like I had surgery. I'm 73. Did I have doubts? Absolutely. Who in their right mind doesn't? But, I knew I had to make a decision. And, with the help of my daughter, Dr. Ross's nurse, Ki, and Dr. Ross, I did. Before my surgery, I had a prostate exam and cystoscopy. Neither experience is exactly what I call fun. I also had a catheter tube inserted in my penis for a month. I'll let you figure out how much fun that was. As you may be aware, when your prostate really starts to act up, the bigger danger is it can cause great injury to your kidneys. Which can lead you down a road of no return. That helped me put all the discomfort and pain into perspective. Your experience will be different from mine, of course. But I have to say that Dr. Ross is an excellent surgeon! and I hope this message makes it easier for you to take action on your behalf and feel confident about the decision you make.

He was looking at my blood results for the first time in front of me rushed. My nurse practitioner told me I need to see a hematologist to go over my blood work and what I was most disappointed in is that Dr. Tyler was not able to tell me anything more or much more than a nurse practitioner. I really hope this was a fluke experience, because he seems like a nice guy but was not impressed.
