I'm writing a 5-star review for a company I didn't actually do business with…read more A few weeks ago, I had what seemed like an emergency service need for my refrigerator. And, of course, it occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Knowing that the company handling my warranty would not be available for at least a few days, I searched out to companies that were available 24/7. Orlando Appliance Repair was one of those companies. Upon calling, the customer service rep put me in touch with their field-rep, Igor. I described the problem and he planned to show withing two hours or less ... on a Sunday afternoon! My refrigerator came back online and I contacted Igor to make him aware and cancel my appointment. He understood and just simply cancelled my appointment without fuss or cost. If a company can be this prompt and respective to new clients calling on a Sunday afternoon that they would end up not be getting business from that day, I can only believe that their actual work would be first-rate and I would not hesitate to connect with Orlando Appliance Repair for any related needs in the future.

I found this business on Yelp sorting by rating. I called,…read morethey called back right away. Appointment was a scheduled, I received confirmation. Igor, the tech, was on time. He explained the problem and ordered a part. He scheduled an appointment to return the next day to complete the service call. The next day, he showed up on time and completed the repair. It's been a few days and the problem is fixed. I am not sure if the fee was reasonable. It's the first time I've had to repair an appliance in over 10 yrs. I am very satisfied with the results and the ease of the process.

Quality Masters Appliance Service - 3-year Old Dryer

Recently our dryer stopped heating out of nowhere. Our warranty unfortunately had not been renewed,…read morewe completely overlooked that so we were unable to use Whirlpool to fix it. We have only ever used them so we had no idea where to look. My wife enlisted Yelp to help us. She put in some request for quotes and received a few back pretty quickly. We had never used that but it was very helpful. Quality Masters was the first to respond and then also took time to message back and forth with her. The other companies were not as friendly and responsive. We also read their Yelp reviews, which we all good, so we figured we would use them. We were able to make the appointment for the next day and were able to do it all through text. It was very simple for us! There was a moment of uncertainty but they were extremely professional and friendly. I was going to be home while my wife was at work, so on the day of our appointment, they were running early. They called asking if early would be ok, so our appointment was moved up. I cannot remember his name, but the technician that came was very knowledgeable and professional. He pinpointed the issue immediately. He discovered our dryer was clogged with lint and the coils were bad. It makes sense since we had never had our vents cleaned. He was able to replace the coils, as well as sucking out as much lint as he could with his tools. Unfortunately, they do not clean vents like that but again, he could help us out with some of it. He also made suggestions as to what else needed to be done, really with just getting the vents cleaned. They also take your payment online either with credit card, for a small fee, or Zelle or Venmo. The invoice will be emailed to you and allow you to pay that way. Personally, we do not prefer to pay for services with Zelle so we used a credit card. It was very simple. I thought overall the price they charged for the coils and cleaning, was very reasonable. It did not cost us much at all. I would definitely use them again, should we need something fixed.

Ray's Appliances - This is what a "tech" did to repair dryer. Thank God for rays to fix it right. And yes that is blue jeans lol

We were shopping around for a new washer and wanted to purchase from a smaller company versus a big…read morebox store. Our hope was we would find a great small business that is an all-in-one operation including standing behind their equipment if we needed repairs in the future. The staff here were friendly and yes; they do have a small service team but we were not satisfied with the quality of the equipment they were selling. We were looking for version of what we currently had - 20-30-year-old Kenmore built-to-last washer that was fully refurbished and ready to go. Well, they had the varieties of the equipment we were searching for but they were beat up pretty bad and God the rust everywhere even on the wash tub and the prices were as much as a new washer from the big box store. On one hand I have to say they are extremely overpriced; however, if you are buying the equipment for the parts or to refurbish them yourself that might be worth it in the long run. A new transmission for our current Kenmore 90 series machine is roughly $212, a basket drive $130, a wash tub $230, and a drive motor $250. If you can salvage some of these parts from an old machine to fix another one or fully refurbish what you got, you'll have a solid washer for another 10 or more years. They just don't make washers and dryers like these anymore! Well, Ray's has been around for a long time now so they must be doing something right. We didn't buy from them but if you're are looking for used appliances that could be fully refurbished, they definitely have a variety to choose from here.

They came out and diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. The parts came and they came out to fix. Problem is, one of the parts was broke in shipping. They reordered the part. It came and then they came out to fix it. That was visit #3. The very young man put the parts in. The lower ice maker worked. The upper did not. So far this has cost us $659.00. He came out a forth time and he said he thought it needed two new water valves. That would be around $250.00 and he didn't sound real sure that that was the problem. I told him no. The refrigerator is 5 1/2 years old. I should have just bought a new refrigerator and put the old one in the garage as a backup to store soda, etc. So, I have an ice maker that dumps ice in a bin in the lower drawer but no dispenser in the door. $659.00. I had an appliance tech tell me a few years ago to not buy Samsung, or LG refrigerator as their compressors don't last. I am now adding Whirlpool to the list. He told me to go with Frigidaire or Amana. I do use Frigidaires in my rental properties and they have been holding up real well.
