We were recommended TV Lutheran Preschool by a number of people. We were still unsure and were…read morebeing very careful about picking a pre-school as our three year old (who was very shy) had been overwhelmed during the first attempt(at a different school with much larger class sizes). TVL far exceeded our expectations. The intimate class sizes with fully qualified teaches and aids mean that your child is in an environment where they actually receive attention and care and can develop close relationships with both their teachers and classmates. Within the first few days it was clear to us our daughter felt safe and that her confidence was growing. To us, this was critical step in our child's life, a moment where we entrusted her to someone we didn't know (and that was a stranger to her). That this be a positive experience for our daughter was very important to us. Now our daughter is in her final year (kindergarten) Again the care and attention she receives is beyond our expectations, and the relationships she is fostering with fellow classmates is heartwarming. Our youngest daughter ( who has repeatedly said she would never go to school ) is thoroughly enjoying Bunnies and willingly walks through the door twice a week. The flexibility of TVLs pre-school schedule is an amazing. You can enroll your child for however much you feel comfortable with (which is especially nice for those of us who are not ready to send our little ones to school all day, 5 days a week) Finally the admin/ and management feel like a couple of caring neighbors or friends. It feels like an equal relationship. They are fully transparent (they have no problem letting us know how our two daughters are doing). They are incredibly flexible and accommodating of our families needs.

As a mom, finding a place where your kids feel safe, loved, and genuinely cared for means…read moreeverything and Tanque Verde Lutheran Church Preschool & Kindergarten has been exactly that for our family. From day one, this school felt warm and welcoming. The teachers truly know the children as individuals, not just names on a roster. My kids are happy here, excited to go to school, and come home talking about the stories they read, the art they made, and the friendships they're building. What I appreciate most is the balance TVLC offers. There's structure, routine, and learning, but also so much play, creativity, and emotional support. The classrooms feel calm and intentional, and the teachers lead with patience and kindness. Communication with families has always been clear and respectful, and I've always felt that my children's well-being comes first. There's a strong sense of community here, and it shows in the way staff, kids, and parents interact. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of this school. It's been a positive, steady presence in our kids' lives, and I trust the people here completely which, as a parent, is everything.

As for the cons, the sauna is sometimes out of order. It's been off and on all summer. Also, I will say that some of the older people at this place don't understand gym etiquette and will swipe your equipment before you're done if you turn your back for a second. The trainers are somewhat distracting as well. Some are good and know what they're doing, but they're unreasonably loud when speaking with their clients. Others are quiet and polite but don't offer great training; one guy had his older, frail client ripping down half reps on the lat pull down machine like he was 14 years old and trying to impress his friends. Overall, a good experience with a few hang ups.

As a parent and grateful community member, I continue to be impressed by the care, professionalism, and heart that make this place so special. Our experience with the Early Childhood Education program for the past three years has been outstanding. As a parent, the most important thing is trust, and we have real trust in the teachers and leaders. The staff know the children, care about their growth, communicate with families, and create a warm, nurturing environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to come each day. The care is high-quality, thoughtful, robust, and flexible, which matters so much for working families and families with different needs. I also deeply appreciate the J's broader commitment to inclusion, especially its programming for individuals with disabilities and families who benefit from extra support. That is one of the things that makes the J feel like more than a gym, preschool, camp, or community center. It is a place that works hard to create belonging. The facilities are excellent and very well maintained. The campus is especially fun in the summer, with the pool, splash pad, camp programming, sports fields, tennis courts, fitness center, classrooms, art spaces, and community gathering areas all working together. It feels like a true community campus where people of all ages can learn, play, connect, and feel welcome. No organization is perfect, but I have a lot of confidence in the people leading the J and in the direction of the community. For families looking for early childhood education, summer camp, fitness, aquatics, arts, inclusion programming, or simply a welcoming place to belong in Tucson, I highly recommend the Tucson J.

He rarely was upset with drop offs but when he was the teachers did a great job redirecting him and providing him love. My son also made some great friends at the Sandbox that have been a strong foundation to his confidence and happiness and I owe this to the wonderful teachers and staff at the Sandbox Early Learning Center. Then another teacher left and they stopped posting pictures and videos to the app daily which they were doing and it was great. I'm not sure about the other classes but we went through a couple teachers. They have a big playground my child loved to play on. A lot of toys. Art class. Science class. They had a lot of fun stuff to do there. The have fun extra things on some weekends. They also worked with the school district to get my child eval for an IEP. At the end of the day I went there after a week vacation and my child no longer had the same teacher again. So I didn't really know the new teacher at all. The guy working on the playground was also new and other new staff I just took that opportunity to just take my child out. I also wanted to mention I posted a review previously here when my daughter was still going here and just mentioning a "few small complaints but over all that I loved this place." And 3 stars. It was followed by the Risa in the front office calling me and screaming at me for about 20 minutes. Followed by nagging from other staff to take the review down. Also my complaint was about like basically all my child's teachers leaving. Obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. And the fact that my name isn't even on here and neither is my child's. The call was a bit surprising. But also eye opening.
