I love checking out local markets, roadside stands, and small businesses whenever I can, so I finally made my way over. First thing I see when I pull up: $12.99 for a seeded watermelon. Listen... we're in Florida. I see people selling watermelons off the side of the road for $5-$6 all the time. The seedless ones were $8.99, which somehow made the seeded watermelon price even more surprising. Unless that $12.99 watermelon comes with a guarantee that it's going to be the sweetest, juiciest watermelon of my entire life, I just can't do it. Once I walked around, I was also surprised by the produce selection. I expected a much larger variety, especially for a farmers market. I actually stopped because I needed cabbage and don't remember seeing any. They DO have some really cool local products--grass-fed meats, seafood, juices, goat milk, soaps and other specialty items--and I definitely appreciate the emphasis on local products and supporting local businesses. It's a cute little market and clearly they have plenty of loyal customers because they seem to do very well. For me, though, the prices were just too high across the board. Even seeing bars of soap around $12.99 had me thinking about the goat milk soap I can pick up at the Safety Harbor Sunday Market instead. So this isn't really a "bad review." It's more of a not-for-me review. I've visited quite a few farmers markets and genuinely enjoy shopping local, but part of the appeal for me is finding good local products at reasonable prices. Keystone just didn't hit that mark for me. If shopping local is your priority and you don't mind paying a premium for it, absolutely stop in and check it out. It's cute, they have some unique products, and you may love it. Personally, I'll stick with Aldi, Publix, my other local markets, and that person on the side of the road selling me a $5 watermelon.

Their boiled peanuts were good but to be honest, pretty overpriced, and you have to find an employee to go get them. I got some small batch chips and an independently brewed soda and a couple of other things. Still ended up dropping over $30. But hey, you can feed and pet the cows? Which is very cool. Salad is $15, $30 once I get one for my wife, a fair price, but I would be splurging. The soup was more affordable and I could share with my wife. I got the Roasted Tomato Soup and a loaf of Sourdough. I should have bought extra for the freezer. They do have a kitchen, a bakery and a small farm store. I ordered my breakfast at the kiosk and then shopped the store. There is a farm to table selection of meals, soups and salads in the fridge cases. A very nice and healthy assortment to take home. There was coffee, matcha and fresh beverages behind the counter as well as cold drinks in the fridges. The kitchen offered all day breakfast choices, soups sandwiches and salads. There were baked goods everywhere. Cookies, cakes, pies and many other confections. Of course, plenty of their Sourdough bread and their Biscuits seem to be a popular option for breakfast. My Grilled Cheese was delicious with a small bowl of Toamato Soup. I was done fairly quick, and back on the road. I did not wait to see the market and it was too early for the Oldmar Flea Market. There is plenty of parking on the side field if the lot gets full. Lots of people were just picking up stuff to take home. It's an awesome place to visit and get breakfast or lunch. Members of our group who arrived about 30 minutes earlier were able to purchase and use the deal, but when we arrived, we were told it was only valid on Friday. This was frustrating, as it didn't align with what others in our party experienced that same day, and resulted in us paying more for the same entry. We understand that policies and availability can change, but clearer communication and consistency would make a big difference. With multiple paid options throughout the farm, honoring the promotion or offering some flexibility would have been a good gesture. The Santorini flats are currently priced at $1.29 a pound and that's a pretty good deal, considering I bought 35 pounds of them for painting purposes. I also picked up some pretty pink and green pebbles that will be made and passed out. Service here was fantastic. As I said, I bought rocks, I had bagged in a grocery bag and was struggling to bring up to the counter. The owner himself carried it inside for me.
