The Felix is a new gem! We had such a great experience at The Felix. From the moment we sat down, the whole place felt like a vibe -- great ambience, excellent service, delicious food, and yummy cocktails made by Dave the bartender. I wish I remembered the name of our server because she was also a gem, so friendly and engaging -- but we're going to blame that on the cocktails. We ordered the deviled eggs, wings, short rib, mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts with parmesan cheese. Everything was outstanding. Not one miss. And the reason there are no photos of the food? By the time we thought to take pictures, we had already eaten everything. That should tell you all you need to know. We were literally smiling from ear to ear the entire time, and people kept coming over to our table because the energy was that good. The Felix has officially made our list. High boy tables surrounding a wrap around bar and super cute small booths line the walls. There was also a back room which I believe led to an outdoor area but we didn't really explore that far. Why only a one visit spot? Happy hour menu is very limited, service was not awesome & food was edible. Most of the menu was pretty standard amongst the lounge & bars around, so given the awesome ambiance I was expecting dishes that aligned but it was pretty standard. Fries, skewers, chip/dip, salad, sandwiches, wings, etc. I will say the Brussels sprouts were delicious! Specialty cocktails - s'mores espresso martini VERY chocolatey, sugar tasting. I couldn't even finish it. LOVED the watermelon martini tho! Definitely try. So refreshing & yummy! Service- he was very nice just not very attentive. Had an amazing time at St. Felix. The manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming, taking the time to share the story behind each menu item and what makes them special to him. You can truly feel the heart and passion he's poured into the restaurant and his desire to create a real connection with the community. This ran across my inkind app as being a new addition...so Hub and I decided to get over there for happy hour since we were heading for a Summerlin staycation for a few days and this was on the way. They opened promptly at 5 pm and we were the first ones there. We got a high top table for our reservation and they allowed us to pick our desired spot. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated...I am sure it really looks cool at night. We started off with 4 dollar Peroni beers. These were so cold and delicious. We got the parmesan popcorn off happy hour and decided to split the blackened chicken alfredo dish as it looked like enough food. It most certainly was. The only complaint I have is the pasta was not Alfredo...it was more like a garlic white sauce...very garlic to be specific. I was glad we were both eating it, for I am certain the garlic would stay with us the rest of the night...we could fight off vampires with this breath. I would suggest they rename the dish or make a real Alfredo sauce that normally does not pack a punch that hard with garlic. Service was great. We had a very sweet waitress take care of us. I had mixed feelings about St. Felix. While there were a few highlights, the overall experience didn't fully come together for me. We ordered the Malaysian-style steak skewers, risotto balls, St. Felix infamous sweet potato fries, and the Texas Straw Hat (chips and guacamole) aka girl dinner. The steak skewers were easily the best dish of the night--flavorful, well-cooked, and the most memorable item on the table. Everything else was fine but not standout; the risotto balls and sweet potato fries were okay, and the chips and guacamole didn't leave much of an impression. For cocktails, we tried the Stockholm Syndrome, Watermelon Martini, Jack Apple Mule, and the S'mores Espresso Martini. Stockholm Syndrome was my favorite and the clear winner--well-balanced and enjoyable. The rest were decent but nothing I'd rush back for. My biggest issue was the menu itself. I didn't really understand it, and it didn't feel very cohesive, which made ordering a bit confusing and the overall experience feel disjointed. The furniture gives an overall feeling of luxury and going out vibes but it was great to see people bring their families and not have to dress up! Great date night spot located at the bend complex on the southwest side of town! My husband and I had a great time and definitely will be back! Food: We ordered the s'mores espresso martini (for my husband as he wasn't hungry) and chipotle shrimp pasta (for me as I was craving shrimp and pasta) my husband said it was honestly really good and not too sweet. And I can definitely attest to that! And my pasta was cooked to perfection! I really enjoyed how well the shrimp was cooked. It wasn't over or under cooked and had lots of Cajun flavor! I came for an event and left with braised beef nachos for my husband. Spoiler alert. I ate them. I'm sure he would have enjoyed them. He offered. That's on him. Yes, they were that good. So let's talk about it. The chips were thick, salty and either were homemade or came from the Mexican market. They didn't break when you scooped all the goodness. And there was so much goodness. The nachos had melted hard cheese, black beans, corn, guac, jalapenos (extra) and pico (tomato, onion, cilantro) and the most flavorful savory, succulent braised beef. It was divine. My husband really missed out. I'm not sure if he meant for me to eat the whole thing or just try it. I saw regret creep over him and then he just went to bed. But I digress. Let's talk about the restaurant! It was hip, trendy, fun, and quite cool. I cozied up to the electric purple bar and my ultra friendly waitress gave me a ice cold water while I waited. Saw a post on IG about this place that just opened near me. It is by THE BEND across IKEA. They are open late (until 2am on some nights). Hollywood meets Vegas vibe. You will be greeted by a throne when u walk in and on the right, the hall leading to the restroom is such a vibe. The walls, colors, everything. There are different old sch videos playing on the monitors all over the restaurant bar that feels nostalgic. The long bar is a vibe. Italian marble I think and those chairs were nicely made. Every corner and space tells a story. Met Jon the owner and he designed a lot of pieces in the place like the couches. If u see the wall of records, push and it will lead u to a hidden room great for groups/ private parties. The booths are a nice touch. Get the risotto balls to start! Was able to try some samples of the food via a Yelp Elite event ! The inside is so gorgeous and the owner took so much time with picking out every detail for this restaurant. Before I even get to the food, the owner was so so nice and gave us a tour of the restaurant & explained where all his pieces came from! The hallway where the bathrooms are is this big Hollywood mirror where if you take a picture in the background it has some writing on it that says XOXO St. Felix and he had it that way, because it reminded him of when people used to put lipstick on their mirrors. He mentioned how the wall behind it has the same pink that the Paul Smith wall in LA has ( He has the other St. Felix restaurant there ). He also mentioned that some of the lamps that are in the restaurant are from one of the antique stores here in Vegas ( I believe that that's what he said ). One of them he said was handmade from a little old lady and it's so pretty ! Now onto the food and drinks ( All of these are the samples that we had so I'm not sure what the full plates look like ). I had Malaysian style steak skewers, American wagyu beef sliders, chicken sliders, risotto balls, churro waffles, braised beef, goat cheese mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, mac n cheese! These steak skewers, braised beef, and brussels sprouts, were my favorite (I know not everyone is a fan of brussels sprouts). The goat cheese mashed potatoes reminded me more of a Polenta maybe because of the texture but they were also good! 4 STARS ONLY BECAUSE OF YIANNI! Group of 4 came for the survivor event here at st. Felix. Very crowed and seemed over booked or tickets sold for more space than what was available. There was no space whatsoever inside so we decided to try and ask to sit outside and watch it on our phones. There was a male manager with a ponytail and wearing a Green shirt that was running food. I stopped to asked if sitting outside was a possibility and was immediately met with a tone of being flustered & told us no way & we wouldn't get any service. We told him that's okay and that we would just like to have a seat somewhere. After that he told us we needed to get out of the back room after we PAID $100 to be here. He was very unprofessional and rude & seemed to not be able to handle high stress situations. So impressed by this new gorgeous and delicious restaurant/lounge I stumbled upon after a way to long trip at ikea while visiting a friend. I Immediately was intrigued peeking through the windows into this stunning space. So pleased we decided to stay for dinner and so happy we did because the food was absolutely delectable. I had the short rib and omg it was too die for. No fat at all all meat and melt in your mouth. My friend had had a pasta with grilled chicken that was also so yummy. The staff were so knowledgeable and on point and vibe here was just so cool and chill. They had nostalgic music videos playing on their tvs and a great curated playlist of classics. I can't rave enough about this new little gem that I most definitely will be making a stop at the next time I'm in Vegas! I wanted to love this place because it's close to home, but maybe they are for a different crowd. A group of us came for a birthday. It's a beautiful vibey spot. Love the furniture and lighting. The service and drinks are pretty decent but the menu could be leveled up. My husband got the sampler, I enjoyed the tacos. Their menu is a mix of random items...that were ok. Our group tried a variety of entrees. It was the sleepy-time music that finally suggested it was time to move along. read more
