Two months ago, we were recommended to try The Lakes since I was looking for some quality fish and chips. I cannot given enough praise to The Lakes for every experience we receive when we dine or pick up our meals. Whether you are eating in the restaurant itself or if going in later hours and eat at the bar, you will receive excellent service, excellent food and reasonable pricing for what you order. While I did enjoy the fish and chips, I now go and pick up "TheLakes burger" every time I choose The Lakes for a meal. Their burgers are cooked on a grill, with fresh, quality hamburger meat and cooked to your desired preference. The seasons they use on the fresh made patties is always spot on and you get that grilled taste that is just perfection. The burger is also never dry, so you really get all the flavor. Did i mention also that they are a half pound? The bun, which is a quality bread, is always flash grilled so it helps holdup to the burger and all its dressings. The lettuce, onions and tomato have been crisp and fresh every time I order it. Bacon is a good quality. The fries served as a side are some of the best steak fries I've had at a restaurant. If you prefer them saltier, you will have to add more salt to them although I prefer this due to it allows you to control how much salt you like on them. If you don't prefer steak fries, you can swap them out for regular fries or do what we do and upgrade to their onion rings. I'm not sure if they're battered there although I'm not worried because they always have a great crunch and taste amazing. I forgot to mention that on the fries, you can request Parmesan on them and although I'm not typically a fan of Parmesan l, they hit the spot. Service has always been above and beyond. Regardless of if dining in or just grabbing to eat at home, we are always treated warmly and professional. I would recommend if dining in to check their high volume times due to its a smaller seated restaurant but if you do have to wait, I highly recommend the wait. Between the great quality of service and food, it's a place that you have great options on food and the employees are personable. The Lakes will continue to be my new favorite local gem and I hope if you give them a try, you'll support them happily the way we do now. read more

Friday the 5th June 2026: late night around 11pm, went for the shrimp special, only bar menu, ok then. Ordered a Negroni, no campari on hand, well that sucks. Ordered a jack and coke while playing video poker while waiting for my take out french dip and pineapple upside down cake. Got home, got the french dip sandwich with no dip. And to be brutally honest, that really effing sucked. I didn't feel like driving back irate at this point to get the dip. Do you get what you are paying for at Lakes Lounge? Nope. Do I want to drive another 7 miles round trip to get my order correct? Buyer beware is the takeaway on take out. You'll be grumpy like me if you don't inspect your order. read more

I ordered the pork chop. I couldn't see the actual pork chop as it was heavily covered with gravy. I cut into it and it was tender and thin. I couldn't taste pork chop, it tasted more like country fried chicken ... bummer! I enjoyed the caesars salad as I tasted garlic on it and it was generously dressed. Sprite was flat. It's dark inside and small. The server was slow and wasn't checking on her customers. I had to ask a different server for a box and my check. The price is reasonable. I would like to start out by telling you the truth. THERE IS NO VIEW OF THE LAKE FROM THIS BUSINESS. You have to ignore the outdoor pictures posted on Yelp. The Lake is nearby on the other end of this strip mall but not here. Moving on - The Lakes Lounge is a 24/7 food, bar, and gaming type place. This one is a smaller place and isn't fancy. It looks like your average 24/7 type place inside. Here they have two separate rooms and doors. One is for the restaurant and the other is for the bar and gaming. They offer the usual breakfast and basic American menu. The specialty of the house are the beer battered fish and chips. I sort of got to try them by ordering the (non-traditional) beer battered fish tacos that were only $10.99. I was very surprised when I saw how generous the tacos were packed. The batter on the fish seemed crispy when they were first brought out but latter got soft. The tacos were double shelled and the beer battered fish seemed like a better quality than what I tasted at another similar restaurant recently. The batter contained a good amount of flavor. The slaw on it was average but the taco sauce was mighty flavorful so it was good. Like I said it was an enormous portion of food. I doubt than any mortal can eat all three tacos here. My husband thought his Soup and Shepard's Pie Special was just OK. Not bad but just OK. Service was good and was done by a team of a server and her busboy. THERE IS NO LAKESIDE VIEW HERE. They have a really good daily special menu here at the Lakes Lounge. We like the Rib-eye steak, baked potato and vegetables and the Hamburger with french fries. We yet have to come in or order for take-out and try their Ribs Special on Mondays...if you love American food and lounge restaurant experience, this is the place to go. We had some business and errands to do in this part of Summerlin today, we finished early and we were getting a bit hungry and didn't want to wait for some of the traditional open at 11:00 or 11:30 places and we weren't thinking Asian food so we didn't head to CTown. The Lakes lounge is always a solid choice for us. For those who don't know, it's located in a very small 1950ish shopping plaza off of Sahara, there is a mini mart,"those guys pies" a Thai restaurant and a couple other stores and businesses. The plaza is one of those hidden IYKYK places. The restaurant lounge is typical, gaming and drinking on one side, the restaurant on the other. Both separated by a wall of windows. The restaurant side is very small and capacity is limited by maybe ten booths and tables . There can definitely be a wait to get in and seated. There was a little rush after we were seated and several parties left and maybe came back later. Timing I think is everything here. They do a pretty busy late breakfast business and it gets packed at lunch. Demographic wise, the late breakfast crowd seems to be older and neighborhood folks, lunch maybe a mixture of working folks and neighborhood folks. They have daily specials starting at 12:00 and in fact, we're going to try and make the Sunday Turkey special right as it's offered at 12:00 this weekend. They have prime rib on Saturday, but since we just dined Ala golden steer, turkey sounds good. I'm sure there will be a rush at twelve on Sunday, but we'll chance it. Ok, on to the food..... After being seated promptly our order was taken and coffee dropped off... the coffee was that typical diner almost burned brew that's the staple of cafes everywhere. My dining companion ordered the big egg sandwich with sausage ($9.99) pretty darn big and looked eggsalant ! Tasted good too. I ordered the BYO burger . Came with a nice slab of raw purple onions, a thick slice of tomato and I asked for cheese which was $1.25 extra for a total of $14.24. The burger was 1/2 pound and came with a decent order of steak fries that were pretty crunchy and crispy. The burger was good cooked to order and was pretty tasty. Also a crunchy pickle spear was included. Service was good, coffee was refilled when requested. I guess my only negative is that they don't offer a military discount... Will we be back, definitely, and hopefully this Sunday. read more

First time here for us. The steak n eggs here r cheaper than village pubs now. $11 per dish which is a great price for people who came from cali. Steak was soft ( ordered medium/ med rare), toasts were really crunchy n buttery, fries r food. No complaints here as they just got themselves 2 new loyal customers. Highly ultra recommended for cheap eats. Service is great, food came out at a decent pace despite there r many guests. The vibe is cozy with many booths, lights not too dimmed ( we went in restaurant side since it's split into 2 w bar area on the other door). I always have a wonderful experience at Lakes Lounge! The wait time is unpredictable, sometimes we have arrived to a full house and other times there has been plenty of seating. The food is ALWAYS great, I have not had one experience where the food wasn't up to par. The steak and eggs deal is one you can't beat, but don't be shy to explore the rest of the menu. I ve gone in here twice grave yard hours and twice a gentle men by the name of Jason Rosa has been very rude to me. Being a person not wanting to complain let it go the first time. Being in the industry myself working at a casino. WI would not recommend this place after hours. After I ordered water he became very rude. I had my phone on only two people in the place not realizing my volume was loud before I can even turn it down he's already in my face. Very upset that's was for sure not necessary with 2 people in the bar. At the end of the rudeness I cancelled my food order and left. I'm guessing the guys in the bars are his regulars. This is my second visit. I left went to Chicago brewing co right down the street. Wow what a difference in customer service. The one and only time that I came here was a very interesting experience. Just before being seated, the host went to meet a guest at the door. I overheard a little bit of the conversation and unfortunately the host was telling this particular customer to never come to this restaurant ever again. I don't know why she was banned, but she was. The guest was not at all upset. She honestly didn't seem to care and she did not seem all that surprised. After that little altercation, I guess you could call it, a party of three that we were, we were seated in a booth. There are some tables in the center of the dining room area. The walls are decorated with interesting pattern wallpaper as well as very old-fashioned old school paintings that probably are prints but even more, they for some reason we're giving me Stranger Things vibes. I felt somehow like I was in the living room of a house that could belong to one of the kids on the show. The lighting is a little bit dim. There are cute little sconces on the walls. There are small lights on the tables as well. There is a bar connected to the restaurant just next-door. They also have a smoking section. There are of course video poker, and other kinds of machines in there. On different days, they have different specials. I can't remember what days had which specials but I believe I remember reading that there is a spaghetti and meatball night. I believe there's also a fish and chips night. You will just have to check. There's more than enough parking in the lot surrounding the restaurant. This restaurant was very interesting in its location. I believe it is integrated into some small tucked away neighborhood in Vegas. I couldn't quite tell you because I was not the driver. There are some other businesses that occupy this slot as well, but I couldn't quite see a lot of the signs. By the time that we left, it was very dark. Food here is very much comfort food. There's nothing fancy about it, but it's just a little fancier than what you would make at home or what you would get if you went to dinner at your friends place. I had a burger. It was very hardy. The meat was cooked nicely. The bread was lightly toasted. The fries were good. They were not overly oily or too salty. My girlfriend had meatloaf. She really enjoyed that. I believe her husband had the fish and chips. I was actually pretty impressed by the size of the fish fillets that were presented as his entrée. Drinks, non-alcoholic, of course, are inexpensive and are refillable. Prices here are very reasonable. If I'm not mistaken, I believe I ate dinner here for just under $20, for myself, pre-tip. Unfortunately, I tried the prime rib Saturday night special at the Lakes Lounge. After mixed reviews I gave it a try. Apparently thier version of prime Rib is a unrecognizable 1/4" thick, piece of meat without any trace of the traditional spices or flavors around the edge. Apparently they took a real Prime Rib and and sliced it into 3 pathetic cuts. It was an embarrassment to the Prime Rib tradition!!! read more

We have been going here 7-8 times a year for the past 12 years. Standards have changed over the years. Tonight's order... THE GOOD: My wife LOVES cheeseburger soup. She would go here just for that. She said it was as good as always. The fried chicken has an excellent batter and crisp. It does not taste like fast food slop. THE BAD: I felt on my fish & chips, I had a lot more batter than usual. I like lightly breaded and seemed as the ratio was off. The fries. When I worked in a restaurant, we had a rule. If you can count the french fries on a plate before serving, you did not provide enough. The fish & chips had exactly TEN fries. The fried chicken had ELEVEN. We were able to count the fries without moving any off to the side to count under it. I brought this up to the waitress. She said the manager does not count the fries, but weighs every fry order. She then asked me if I wanted to order another side of fries. Would I pay $5-$6 to get another 10 fries? If it is the cost of the fries that is holding the restaurant back, I would rather pay an extra $1.50 and get a normal side of fries. Not asking for a full basket. But it is weird to be able to actually count your fries - on a meal that has literally fries in the name of the dish! My wife likes the soup. Will she be back? I am sure. Me? I felt insulted. My husband and I LOVE this place! We come here frequently to get the steak and eggs deal. I get my steak medium rare with scrambled eggs and sourdough toast. This is a cute spot, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be sat. They have a mimosa/Bloody Mary deal on the weekends, $3.50 each until 2pm. The menu looks amazing, but we always get the steak and eggs. I will try something else next time! I promise! Underwhelming. Saw a TikTok review and was really excited to try the cheeseburger soup. Unfortunately that is only available on Saturdays. The place is very tiny mostly booth seating so if you need a table it is very limited. Restaurant is separate from the bar which is nice. The presentation of the food is nice, but we did have a couple of issues. The steak was ordered as medium rare and it came out as medium well. The waitress did make up for that and took the drinks off which was nice. We didn't ask for a replacement we just wanted to pass on the info so the chef can watch the cook on the meat. The other thing was the excessive amount of peas in the pot pie, that were not cooked all the way. I ate alot of the peas prior to the amount pictured, there was just THAT many. One of us asked for a box before the others were done eating and this obviously confused the waitress as she prompt brought the check. That pretty much cemented the decision that we weren't getting the apple cobbler I was so looking to try. Sad to say I probably will not go back read more

I experienced my first visit to TLL and what a gem. The dining room was full for dinner, which was a great sign. I was quickly greeted by my server, Javanna and she took me through the menu and was very attentive the entire visit. I enjoyed the Minestrone Soup and I really enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie, which was one of Javanna's recommendations. Was greeted immediately and sat immediately, and was taken care of by 2 of the most wonderful sweetest ladies ever, Brianna & Denaye! Brianna was my server and she is VERY good, and recommended the cheeseburger soup (I know, kinda different..) but TRUST ME, LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST SOUPS I've ever had!! Creamy, cheesy, beefy and has the onions tomatoes and all that.... Then I got the Saturday Prime Rib special and AGAIN man oh man. I ordered mine Medium Rare because that's how I prefer mine... I am an out of towner and I came to this place with my parents who live in Vegas. This place seems very much like a locals spot, and a popular one at that. Their prices are incredibly low and the service is friendly! However their food just seems soooo greasy and a lot of their food is just cooked with wayyyyy too much garlic--and this is coming from someone who absolutely LOVES garlic in cooking/food. But the food here just seemed drowned in grease and too much garlic (if there's such a thing). For the price, I can see why this place is popular. But, for the grease, meh. read more

I've been eating here for years and have always loved their food but today the food was terrible. I ordered my favorite, steak & eggs. The steak was ultra salty and full of grizzle. Also, the potatoes were greasy and tasted old. I was told by the server the steaks now come to them pre-marinated. That's the end of their steak and eggs breakfast for me. What a shame. What can you say about the Lakes Lounge? I've been coming here since 2007 and they have consistently been delicious ...even through the Covid years. The prices have gone up a few dollars but for a good hearty comfort style meal, This is the place to go. The burgers never disappoint. The steak sandwich has always been a hit. The service could be a little slow at times, but they make up for it. I remember when I first came and the place had a "crusty crab" feel to it but now it has a nicer diner style going for it and It is always clean.
