Kelly called me up to go over the reservation and provide details. She was wonderful. And made dinner reservation and helped with the local area. We pull onto this quiet brick road. Tucked away at the corner is the St. Francis Inn. Free parking is across the street shaded by beautiful trees. We walk in and it has a quaint cozy feel. For a part of our honeymoon we stayed in Emily's room at first we were taken to the wrong room so our chocolates, champagne and basket were brought to us later on. It wasn't in our room when we got there. Which kinda took away the feeling of it. Our room had a balcony which was really nice because it made the room more open. The food was excellent. This is not your ordinary hotel, box of cereal and a cold hard-boiled egg kinda breakfast. Everyday there was something new fresh warm and delicious. Even in the afternoon and night there was a display of food. After taking our complimentary bikes out for the day, we would come back to a new refreshing fruit/cucumber/mint infused water and there was always something delicious to snack on. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will pick a different room next time but we will return. read more

This was great compared to other B&Bs in st augustine! The chef was wonderful with different dishes every morning complete with mimosas and bloody marys, expresso, lattes and more. Cookies and desserts from 7-9 and a happy hour from 5-7. We stayed in (the courtyard) one of the cheapest rooms but it was cute, cozy and had a fireplace. It had a clawfoot tub but the bathroom was so small- don't even think of getting more than one person in there! The employees were very nice and interested in you having a wonderful experience. It was a very nice, relaxing place with no loud music at 2 am like with some other Downtown b&bs. read more

I have stayed at the St Francis Inn three times and every time the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure we have an incredible stay. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and will do what they can to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. They offer a lot of perks to staying with them from the free snacks and beverages all day long, to the discounts on various attractions. Not to mention the breakfast every morning is always something to look forward to. Everything tastes as though it is made fresh and from scratch. They also offer a different homemade desert every night that is the perfect way to end the day. The rooms in the inn are very cozy and well kept. They perfectly capture the historic charm of the rest of St Augustine. The Inn is located within walking distance to much of what the town has to offer, making it very convenient. They also offer some dog friendly rooms so you don't have to leave your furry friend behind. All of the perks and amenities of staying on site are extended to the offsite beach lodgings. It makes me happy to see so many positive reviews on here for the St Francis Inn. Every 5 star review is so well deserved. My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and loved it! The staff were friendly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was very quaint. We stayed above the garage area, as that is supposed to be the most private. My husband hates staying in hotels due to sounds from other guests but we had no problems at all here. After arriving, we learned that there are ghosts that visit certain rooms but not ours. Well, that was not the case as something sat on our bed and tugged at the sheets. It wasn't scary, but definitely unexpected. Speaking of the sheets, we loved how soft and comfortable they were. And when we found out that they sell them in the gift shop, we were sold! Parking and driving down the small streets in a large truck was difficult and not ideal, but it was away from the crowds and quiet so we don't mine. Definitely coming back again! read more

Wonderful, Wonderfull Inn. I highly recommend this B & B. They catered to our every need, and more! Rooms very, very clean and updated to modern plumbing and all, but still has the charm and period furniture of the circa 1791 building. Between the happy hour, dessert hours and breakfast everyday, we enjoyed returning to this Inn. They catered to my spouse's dietary needs easily. Very close to town, easy walk, and ample free parking. I cannot compliment the friendly staff enough. We even had a free decanter of sherry in our room, upon arrival. read more

We loved our stay at St Francis Inn! I can't say enough great things! The location was perfect and we could walk to everything! Perfect spot for taking in the Nights of Lights and exploring St Augustine!We stayed two nights in the Cottage. We are a family of 3 and we brought our golden retriever. Our dog was welcomed with a doggy bowl and some treats and a personalized welcome note with her name! The cottage was a full sized apartment with two bedrooms a full kitchen and a living room with fireplace. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The Inn followed proper social distancing guidelines and masks were required inside at all times. We only ate breakfast one morning during our stay since we had an early departure our last day, but it was very good! They had a breakfast station with a spinach egg scramble, blueberry French toast and sausage along with other types of continental breakfast foods. They offered bloody Mary's, mimosas and cappuccinos and lattes as well. There were signs posted in the breakfast room that masks were required at breakfast station and in building unless seated and eating. There were two people serving the breakfast with masks on. This helped to prevent guests from having their hands in the food, which I appreciated. I was a little annoyed that I saw two different guests approach the breakfast station and start touching condiments and other continental items while not wearing a mask. I also saw a man get up from his table and approach the woman serving the food at the station without a mask. He got really close to her (and the food) and I saw her step back. Unfortunately the man did not pick up the social cue and remained in the woman's space without a mask on. I really wish people would be a bit more aware and respectful of personal space and shared food spaces! Especially if they want to continue to enjoy vacations in st Augustine and places like bed and breakfasts during a pandemic! We are grateful to have found a mini vacation spot in Florida since so many places across the country are currently shut down. It's not too much to ask people to wear a mask! Thank you St Francis Inn for providing us a safe and beautiful get away during these difficult times. We really needed it and thoroughly enjoyed it! Oh and we loved the daily dessert boxes we received each evening along with the home made cookies and social hour with beer and wine! We even enjoyed playing a game of Yahtzee one rainy afternoon. By far the best experience of a bed and breakfast ever!! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need! And so much food! They have happy hour a few hours after check in with complementary snacks and wine. Then a few hours later they have dessert and s'mores. My husband and I visited the St. Francis Inn B&B on 9/23/16 to celebrate our anniversary. We had such an amazing time, we are already trying to figure out when we can go back (and wish we'd stayed longer)! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We loved the set up of the room and the overall site and felt everything was very comfortable. There was a great happy hour the afternoon we arrived and it was so nice to have a drink or two and some delicious snacks before going to dinner later that night. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious. I'm pretty sure we went back for seconds. Then, when we checked out on Saturday, we were even still able to use the bicycles for the afternoon (which was great considering the heat)! By far the best bed and breakfast in St Augustine. The staff is amazing and they are very military friendly, offering the government per firm rate to individuals traveling on official business during the week. Their breakfast spread is very good and they offer a happy hour and snacks for late night munching. It is a short walk from the shops and restaurants downtown. St. Francis Inn B&B is nice and quite and is located nicely to where you can see a lot of St. Augustine on foot. Now, first of all, if you like all of the modern amenities, this place ain't for you. As it is in a very historic home. The TV's were very small and the bathroom door in my room was about 5'9" high. But if you're looking to just relax and catch a bit of that old town St. Augustine charm this place is perfect. Some of the things I like include free parking, as this is rare in St. Augustine, so that is nice. They have free refreshments all day long, (including alcohol) and of course breakfast every morning. I really enjoyed the stay here and would absolutely stay here again. read more

We stayed at the beach bungalow. Nothing like the pictures posted! The kitchen cabinets were falling apart, when taking a shower the water ran thru the side walls and out the back wall. The room was never cleaned in three days stay. The windows were duct taped and a dried snake was in the air conditioner, and yes it was 6 miles from the Inn, and after eating breakfast went to use the bathroom and there was a line of 4 people waiting to use the one bathroom. We tried being polite about the issues we encountered but were blown off ! PLACE IS A DUMP !!!!!!!! read more

I have been to the St. Francis Inn twice and loved both stays!! First was 3 year ago when my now husband proposed. Our second trip was over 4th of July weekend this year. The staff was so accommodating and friendly (especially Elle; we had the most interaction with her and she is truly the sweetest woman). The breakfast is so delicious and fresh; nothing at all like a hotel continental breakfast. Happy hour munchies and wine were also wonderful. We have stayed in the main building and the one across the street and love them both; we didn't prefer one over the other. The rooms and the Inn are so charming and beautiful. The sherry in the room is a nice touch as well. We walked to bars and restaurants which made our experience more fun. All in all, we love this place and can't wait for our next visit. read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Every dime spent for the rooms is given right back to you. The sherry is delicious. The homemade breakfast and little treats is amazing. Their hospitality is also incredible. We had to get two different rooms due to the one we wanted being booked the first night. As long as all our stuff was packed they offered to move everything for us, so when we finished breakfast we just went on our way. When we were done we came back to get our new key and bam we were set up easy peasy in a new room. I will say the only drawback for us was we are pretty young. I being 22 and my fiancé 21, when we walked into social hour to see how everything was we were immediately met with a bunch of senior eyes. It was a bit overwhelming. We felt slightly judged by the other guests and very out of place. However I have no regrets with staying in at St Francis. Lots of the older folk did warm up to us and they were such lovely people. Super friendly staff and authentic getaway place with a lot of history! The Inn is a 5 minute walk to the heart of St Augustine so we were close to all the city has to offer yet it was peaceful and serene to return in the evening for happy hour and dessert. We stayed in the Garden Hideaway room which offers a very secluded experience and the garden sitting area is beautifully landscaped, it has a well kept but old world garden feel. The staff and owner were super helpful with advice about best restaurants and attractions. Every meal we had was a feast thanks to their advice. For an adventure I highly recommend talking one of their bicycles for a spin. We rode to the lighthouse and around town, these old Schwinn bikes are a must! read more

The breakfast buffet was really great its served all morning and you can make your own mimosa or bloody mary. serveral choices of coffee too. the complimentary happy hour was nice also. the amenities are very generous. the room was at a nice cool temp and the bed was very comfortable the shower was a little difficult you have to realize this building is historic so the bathroom isn't going to be glamorous. First timer to the area and to a bed and breakfast. Very cozy and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the town where there are plentiful bars, restaurants, museums, shops and live entertainment. The front staff was very nice explaining things in the area to do and gave us free tickets to the lighthouse. She explained there was a "social hour" with complementary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. There is water, cups, ice 24/7. Coffee and teas throughout the day. Complementary hot breakfast. A mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. And snacks overnight! Upon check in the front desk personnel walked us to our room and showed us everything to make sure it was to our liking. The room was vintage and charismatic but had wifi, tv and mini fridge. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub/ shower. There was a pool and outdoor seating. We only stayed for one night and since this was our first time to the area we spent little time at the inn and was not able to utilize all the amenities offered. They also had free bikes for use and umbrellas if need be. The room was also stocked with sherry which we did not touch due to being out on the town. Bed was huge and comfortable. Check in was at 3 and out at noon. Definitely would recommend! read more

Just left the St Francis Inn. We spent Christmas in St Augustine and had an incredible time. The Inn was wonderful and the inn keeper and staff could not have been more accommodating. Bed was very comfortable and our rooms were very clean. Breakfast each morning was incredible. Evening snacks and drinks in the garden around the fire pit. Dessert at 8:00 with coffee or tea in the garden. We will for sure go there again. read more

My husband and I stayed here for the first time on 11/30/18. We come to St. Augustine every year for a weekend getaway and stay at a different B&B each time. The St. Francis Inn was very romantic and very intimate. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was the best by far. The complimentary Sherry in our room was just what we needed after our drive. We stayed in The Courtyard room and the only complaint I have is that I wish the rope they place across the swing at night would stay there until at least 10:00 am. My husband and I work nights and like to sleep in and on Saturday morning a lady sat in the swing which is located right beside our bed and talked on her phone for about 30 minutes. I guess the other guests don't realize that they are that close to our bed when they sit in the swing. We did have a few odd things occur in our room while we were there, but we didn't mind. I definitely want to come back and experience other rooms in the future. read more

We have stayed two times at St. Francis Inn. A Bed and Breakfast doesn't get better than this. The Inn has so much charm and history. We never had a complaint about anything. Very conveniently located within walking distance of most St. Augustine attractions (Oldest House, Lightner Museum, the Fort, etc). Both times we stayed at rooms in the Wilson House, across the street from the actual Inn. Although the Wilson House is not supposed to be "haunted", we did have some strange experiences. But this has actually enhanced our fondness for the St. Francis Inn and we will definitely plan to stay here the next time we visit St. Augustine. read more

Best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. My husband and I stayed here for a week in Margaret's Room. From the care of the staff, the gourmet breakfast, the clean and comfortable room, not to mention the amazing bathroom, Everything was on point. Our favorite part was the fact that they have a beach property where you can park so close to the beach. They also have a shed with a refrigerator and ice cold water bottles, and they also have towels, a shower, bathroom, and chairs. I was so impressed with every single part of this Inn. This Bed and Breakfast was surly an experience. It is the perfect place to go if you want to experience St Augustine in all of its historic glory. If you want to be amazed by old fashioned streets and a home that feels stuck in the past, this is the place to go. Its a beautiful little spot and could even be romantic. Now if you are looking for a solid nights sleep in a cool and comfy bed with a great sleeping atmosphere, I would not recommend this BandB. Also if you are a large person, either overly muscular and tall or obese.... this may not be the place for you. Aside from sleep and the size this place is awesome. Cynthia and Nancy were my favorite employees they kept the breakfast area in perfect condition and helped us with a few request.
