We were met at the door by several employees and guided to the appropriate room for the service. All of the furnishings and decor were tasteful and clean. If you know my rating system I give three stars for businesses to which I would return, four stars for businesses at which I would like to be a regular and five stars for businesses to which I would drive out of my way. It is very expensive though, it will cost you at a minimum of 11 thousand dollars, but they make sure everything is taken care of and give you time to grieve. Grieving the loss of a loved one is overwhelming in itself, and planning a funeral can be as…read morewelcomed a distraction as it can be a huge burden. Initially, we felt that Brinsfield would ease that burden. They told us "we will do whatever you need" and "we have that covered". So when we submitted all the Obituary information to Brinsfield on Wednesday at noon (following the death of our grandmother on Monday) to give to the local papers, we believed they did have it covered. They specifically told us we had to go through them even though we stated multiple times we would be happy to do it ourselves to make sure it was done. Well, even though we submitted both the death notice AND the obituary to Michele Brinsfield at noon on Wednesday, nor the obituary nor the death notice ran in Friday's papers. My grandmothers services are this Sunday and Monday. Therefore, nothing will run before then. Instead of being understanding, kind, and apologetic, Michele Brinsfield was extremely rude and short with my grieving mother who only wants to make sure that her own mother is honored properly by all that knew her. Michele actually told my mother "we will pay the $15 for it to go in the local papers but we WILL NOT pay anymore for the post." As if this was our fault or they were doing us some sort of favor. Again, we are grieving and Brinsfield FORGOT to submit our grandmothers obituary. We were told "sometimes these things happen." A word of advice; do not count on Brinsfield to "do whatever you need". I know it will be hard, given that you have just lost a loved one, but you will need to micromanage every step of the way. Hopefully this review will ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else!
