I waited for over an hour not feeling good, thirsty and getting a colonoscopy. Give me a break. Worse experience I've ever been thru.

They have been great…read more While I appreciate the work that Dr DeSaibro and Rhiannon did with me, their office administration is quite possibly the most inept I've ever dealt with. I was given a referral for an MRI in July of 2023, and it took until Sept of 2023 to even get it scheduled. They knew that our insurance had a third party setup for pre-auth, yet never managed to figure out how to get them the info they required to get my appt set. Weeks went by as I called every couple of days - where is the pre-auth? Did you send it? Did you send it to the correct number? You need yet ANOTHER copy of my insurance card, sure here it is. Here is the info to send it to pre-auth. What? You don't have the info again? If you think that you've ever dealt with a more clueless bunch of admin, I'd challenge you to try to get something done here. Finally, after I drove 45 minutes away to their office (we live in a rural location, so everything is far) 2 months later because they clearly couldn't get it done over the phone, they claimed to have sent the info to get the pre-auth. I scheduled the MRI with the hospital, they also claimed to have it. December rolls around and I get a bill for the FULL AMOUNT. Calling in, the hospital tells me *there is no pre-auth* on file. What a surprise. Chasing my tail once again, I call the neurology office and the girl that answered the phone not only continued to interrupt me, but transferred me to scheduling. What? That makes zero sense. I call back AGAIN, and am told that someone will call me back with what I need. I have zero confidence that will happen. The doctors are great here, but get ready to hold the hand of admin to get something done outside of the office. A simple MRI should have NEVER been this much of an ordeal. I'd rather go without something as serious as an MRI than to redo what I've had to endure with this office.

I wasn't ever able to get an appointment with my regular Neurologist (same facility, different…read moreoffices) so I went to see her. Worst appointment of my life.  Upon meeting she asked why we're in her office and not my regular doctor.  So, we (my wife and I) told her.  I have special needs where I feel more comfortable with women (I was abused severely by men, and I also suffer from Agoraphobia because bad stuff always happens when you leave your room).  She yelled more, called me a reverse sexist.  Then turned her back on me.  I told her; I'm not a sexist, it my preference after suffering years of abuse.  So, she was like; "oh okay, that's a good way of putting it".  I don't know if that was yet another jab or what. Then she claimed I couldn't see different doctors because the insurance doesn't allow it.  Hello, I was seeking a new doctor because I could never get a hold of his office (I was seeing a male doctor, some sexist huh?).  It's my right as a citizen to see what ever doctor I want and feel comfortable with. believe she needs more training. Obviously she asked question that had nothing to do with the appointment. She isn't supposed to ask personal questions involving someone other than the patient. She should also take sensitivity, and non discrimination training! She's inappropriate, mean and let her position known. She kept teying to make me leave the appointment too. Then she proceeded to tell me I don't have M.S. which was diagnosed years ago.  She came to this conclusion based off of just one mri.  Anyone knows it takes more than that.  My lesions shrunk, so she thinks it's something else.  She asked what tests I had in the past, I told her she scoffed and said, oh okay.  She NEVER asked me my symptoms. During the appointment I told her she was mean, made feel uncomfortable and dumb.  She asked why, so I told her without hesitation.  You're yelling at me, very loud, and keep interrupting me. She criticized that, and yelled out that I could leave and not continue the appointment (I should have).  I started to cry and maybe it hit a tiny compassionate spot in her heart.  She calmed a bit but at first it seemed really forced. I'm not a rude person so I stuck out the whole appointment.  I didn't want it to be a waste of time.  My wife was with me and helps me out to my amnesia at appointments.  She and her assistant really didn't like us.  You know how you can really tell by the eye rolls and disgusted looks on their faces, when they found out we are married. She asked my wife (before she knew who she was), what our relationship is, if she works, etc. That's NONE of her business, and she shouldn't ask those kind of questions. I was the patient. She wants me to redo all the tests to prove to her I really have M.S.  like me and my medical records are lying.  So, she wants me to do botox, gave me a headache med to try during flares (I told her they're not flares, it's a constant pain with big spikes), and redo all of the painful and dangerous tests, again. Without her advice, I will be looking for a compassionate, empathetic and caring doctor.  I live kind of between states and 2 hours away from the next city that has Neurologist,  but I WON'T EVER go back to that Neurologists facility. Never judge a book by its cover, she looked nice in her pictures and maybe someone I could trust.  She really gave me the WORST day, and I really don't trust people anyway.  It took me years to work up the courage to try another doctor.  These doctors...why become a doctor if you're just going to call your clients liars, treat them like they're hypochondriac, and call them names?  She shouldn't be in medicine.

While I did have to wait an hour and a half to see a doctor at the Sunset Instacare Clinic on Sunset Blvd in St. George, it was well worth it. I didn't have an appointment so waiting an hour and a half to see someone didn't seem like a long time. I was just grateful they could see me at all. While I expected to see a nurse practitioner or a PA, I saw an actual doctor, Dr. Davie. He couldn't have been nicer to me, and most importantly, he gave me prescriptions that I immediately had filled and they really did the trick. By the next day I was almost pain free and within a few days, as he said, I was totally pain free. Also, they did not stress about my out of state insurance. They took my insurance information and didn't make me pay up front as some other medical providers might have seeing it was an out of state plan they probably never heard of. I had coverage for out of state emergency care and they did finally pay it 3 months later (because it was out of state, they required more paperwork from them so it took longer), but it seemed that the clinic cared more about me as a patient getting better than getting paid. You just don't see that today. I would definitely use them again if the need arose. I'm glad they are there to help people in need.

just now While the medical care from the staff was solid,…read morethey lost three stars for what had occurred during my procedure. I was having very intricate, delicate surgery on my eye, to repair a macular hole, and additional laser repaid my retina. I don't mind saying that I was very stressed. I was given an "eye block"; I was knocked out, the "block" was administered to my optic nerve, then I was brought out of the anesthesia. This removed all pain, and kept me awake for the surgery. While the surgery was being performed, the surgical staff engaged in a conversation about Utah's new Covid-19 Mask Mandate from the Governor. Now, I am 63 years old, and part of the "pre-existing conditions group", making me more susceptible to the virus, more susceptible to illness and/or death. I was stunned to hear members of the surgical team saying that they were against the mandate, and thought that the hype was overblown! The surgeon, whom I hold blameless, as these were not his employees, said to the staff "I can't believe that you guys feel this way, after everything that's happened..." That's when I chimed in, saying "This is ridiculous! Wearing a mask hurts no one! And, regardless of your political beliefs, I would think that everyone would want to wear one, just to decrease the chance of spreading! This is just like the motorcycle helmet law argument of the 1970's, where riders would say "It's my life, you can't tell me what to do! Only in THIS case, your actions can permanently change the lives of many others!" You could have heard a pin drop. The conversation was over. My anxiety went through the roof, along with my blood pressure. Here was a group of "medical professionals" announcing to the world that they didn't believe what their peers, EXPERTS in the field, were saying, and gambling with MY LIFE, in the process! This was irresponsible, arrogant, upsetting and callous! They have no right to take their patients' lives in their hands, while doctors and nurses the world over are trying to keep their heads above water! How dare they??? Regardless of one's political beliefs, this was no place to have this conversation. And, in my opinion, these detractors of the mandate do not belong in an operating room, PERIOD! So, as I said, it appeared that they administered proper medical care, from a technical standpoint, but failed miserably with their bedside manner! Shameful!

They intake process was great, all the nurses were so nice but after my surgery I went into the recovery area to come wake up from being under and I was taking longer then expected. I was completely out of it, and the nurse kept waking me up and getting my dressed which would be ok besides I was falling over and collapsing. She did not seem concerned and rushed me out up my car where I passed out multiple times and my mom who is a very petite lady had to catch me and steady me before I hit the ground. Luckily I was able to get in the car without any serious fall but looking back I am so annoyed that the nurse was more worried about getting me out of the center quickly then making sure I could safely get into my vehicle. It's not like I was just being lazy I straight up could not help it. If you are planning on getting surgery done here, I would recommend that you have someone there to advocate for you at pick up time to make sure that it is safe for you to leave.
