Disgusting food. Mac and cheese had bugs in it and owner tried to argue that I should have kept the contaminated, bug-infested food overnight to bring back the next day. He was totally an a-hole. If you want poor customer service, high prices and contaminated food, then shop here!

This is a great market to stop at if you're staying at the Westin St. John and would like to stock up on some supplies. They have a very good selection of produce, meats, packaged foods, wine/beer/spirits, and sundries. In short, everything you could need while staying at a resort. It's also very close to the Westin and an easily walkable 5 min from the entrance to the resort. After becoming frustrated with the quality and price of breakfast at the Westin, I came here looking to buy ingredients to make breakfast. Basically I was sick of paying $40 for mediocre breakfasts for 2. At St. John market I was able to get eggs, bagels, cream cheese, oil/salt/pepper, fruit for a fruit salad, and mango juice for ~$20. Still pricey, but food on an island is generally pricey and this was enough food for 3 days of breakfast. So $3.50/meal compared to $20/meal at Westin and for better tasting food. A steal!

You must stop here if planning to stay on the island. They have all the necessary rations you're going to need.

All the basics you may need whilst on the island. Remember pretty much everything here is imported so don't expect mainland prices.

It is within walking distance of the Crown Bay cruise terminal. It's not much to look at from the inside, but has most of the major US grocery brands. And it serves as the place to buy household goods like light bulbs, etc. The prices were not as high as I expected, considering it's located on an island. Something unusual was that there was an entire room dedicated to refrigerated items, with the room itself refrigerated (with freezers in it to keep frozen goods). This is where the meat was kept, and it was a decent selection with comparable prices to the mainland. Ended up buying two bags of Funyons for lower than what it would be on the mainland, and some Airbourne dietary supplements to help me fight this bug that seems to continuously mutate, annoyingly throughout this trip (which still has a long way to go).

It's a good place to go if you're looking for something like brand name snacks or sodas, but the prices are high and the store isn't very nice inside. This feels like a dirty discount market, and it's definitely a place that locals shop. You aren't going to find any gourmet items, just regular day to day essentials. I love looking in markets when I travel, so I had to check this place out. They have a small liquor area with a big selection of rum (particularly flavored Cruzan). Crossing the busy street is something else, and bring your patience. It's best just to follow a confident local when crossing, or you'll be waiting all day. Don't go out of your way to shop here, but if you're looking for an authentic local experience, this is your grocery store!
