Great store with great prices! They had everything we needed for our vacation in St Thomas while feeding 17 people!

We had a horrible experience here.. This was our first stop on the island before heading to our stay. I had read that THIS is the place to go, so we went. From the get-go it was a mess. This is definitely more of like a Sam's/Costco set up, best for buying in bulk! We picked up a loaf of sandwich bread and after checking out I noticed the bread I chose was 1 week overdue to be tossed (April 17). I asked the cashier if I could go and just grab a new loaf, she said that's fine, I did. EVERY SINGLE loaf was bad. Every rack, flavor, the farther down the older they got. I was just appalled. Some bags were opened, or ripped and still sitting aligned in the totes to be sold. We didn't end up getting any of the loafs, obviously. So they got about $3 for free and about 12 racks of months old bread! Just be aware for travelers coming. We had a great experience in Red Hook at Moe's, would definitely recommend them!! read more

I call this place "Cost U MORE". Food Prices here are crazy high compared to NY..I was shocked! I caught myself smh and muttering "they bugging" to myself on numerous occasions.. Came here to grab a few beverages and other items to stock the fridge at the condo during my recent visit to the Virgin Islands. Liquor prices are slightly cheaper however, but not as cheap as Mexico prices. The service is good and the employees here are friendly, thats always a plus. I had the cashier ROTFL with my comments on the prices lol I'd suggest shopping here if you'll be staying for at least a week or more and you have at least 2 other people staying with you..I came across lots of family sized and Bulk items. read more

Great place to buy food and supplies. Warehouse style but good quality and very fair prices.

If you're looking for a BJ's type store with bulk food this is the place to shop. They have beer and liquor. Understand if you go late on Saturday they will be out of a lot of things. We had a house rental and were buying food and drinks for the house. It was a time saver to just go here. They also sell chairs and snorkels if you were looking for them. Most items are reasonably priced with the island up charge. I would go here first befor going to other smaller markets. read more

Laid out similarly to a cost-co with bulk everything. Fight broke out at the register but only added to the experience. Employees were nothing but friendly and helped guide me to various items as the store has an interesting layout. read more

I did not receive all of my items that I paid for. When I called to rectify the situation I was told too bad all of the items were packed into the delivery boxes and they had a video to confirm. I did ask to see the video and was told that the video would not be shared. Totally disappointed in the customer service. I will not be using them again. read more

Cost U Less is where to go to stock up on groceries while on vacation on St Thomas. It's a short 10-15 minute drive from Marriott. There's plenty of parking. Don't forget to bring your own shopping bags. They only have boxes to carry out our goods. Sometimes there weren't any boxes at all. CUL carries bulk items. Which is great for grill meats and sandwich meats... but if you want streak sauce and ketchup you really don't need a large two pack bottles. This store has bacon and eggs. Water, Milk and juices. Fruit and Vegetables. Rum and wine. Everything you need. The smaller stuff... we went to the 'Market' and 'Pueblo'. You can definitely see the price difference. This is a big warehouse place like Sams. Most food is in bulk. We shopped for 8 people for a few days and spent about $1200.00 USD. Yes that is twelve hundred dollars. Food is incredibly expensive. How do people eat here? Once bag of salad mix 10 oz is like $9. Alcohol is decently priced for bottles, beer is a bit higher. Sale on liquor was great prices. The staff was a bit annoyed we had 2 carts full but they were still pretty nice. the alcohol selection is good. Food selection is good. Cost-U-Less on St. Thomas definitely lives up to its motto, "Your Best Value" while in the U.S. Virgins Islands. The store operates warehouse-style, offering discount food and general merchandise products. There is no membership, but if you are living on the island, sign up for the rewards program - I saved $30 on an almost $350 on my grocery haul. If you are traveling to St. Thomas, staying a week or longer/have access to a kitchen, and looking for affordable options for groceries, then I highly recommend you shop at Cost-U-Less. They have some of the best competitive prices and options on the island. Beer, wine, liquor is pretty inexpensive. If you want to support the local economy, I recommend Cruzan Rum (produced on St. Croix, VI) it runs less than $10/One-Liter bottle or Love City Hard Seltzer (produced by St. John Brewers) is $24 for a box of 12 cans. Example of various item prices (as of April 2022) are pack of water bottle ($5) - check your rental property as most drinking water on the island is cistern filtered. The store layout was not ideal and made it hard to find things. We bought a bag of shredded cheese and when we opened it up, completely moldy past the first layer. We did take it back and the woman at the counter was less than friendly and acted annoyed. But when you pay over $15 for a bag of cheese, open it as soon as you get home and it is moldy, you want it to be replaced. read more

I have no complaints. We were able to get organic (soy) milk, eggs and flavored sparkling water for about New York City prices without any discounting, like what Whole Foods does. I didn't chase down all of the essentials since we packed a lot of food (and frozen meat) in our suit cases before traveling here. I paid $7 for a pineapple and mango from a street vendor. It is like a tiny non-members hip Costco. They have all sorts of stuff on warehouse style shelves, with a large selection of french meats, produce, and frozen foods. The alcohol selection is also really good. I brought a nice bottle of champagne to the island for a special night and it turns out they had the same bottle for the same price here. It was definitely a better stop than the local market. read more

This is an all new place! Mini Costco! No membership needed! Went there twice! Best liquor prices we could find on the island! Much better value for soda (like $4.50 for coke or Pepsi) compared to $8 or $9 or $10 elsewhere for a twelve pack and overall everything we bought was less there. read more

Of the three grocery stores, we went to on the island, cost you less was easily the best option. Reasonable prices, very clean, very friendly staff. When grocery shopping on St. Thomas island, I would definitely choose this location as my first option. read more

the most affordable grocery store that we went to. very similar to costco but no membership is required. they had the cheapest packaged coffee here, tip is to buy here because the other grocery store coffee starts at $10 for a small bag. read more

Wow can't believe I'll be the first person to review this supermarket, definitely stock up on groceries here once arriving on the island . Cost U Less reminds me of a miniature Costco. In fact, they even carry a few Kirkland items like paper towels. We had wondered why some corner stores had Kirkland water when there is no Costco on the island. They sell items and bulk and there are few items that you can buy as small individuals unit in the produce section (broccoli, pomelo, etc). We were so glad we stocked up and bought $300 worth of groceries for the week here before going to Saint Johns. It would have cost ~$600 had we purchased the same items and in Saint John. Some of my favorite buys were the items in the small prepared hot food section. We bought a family meal consisting of Mac and cheese, rice and beans, and spare ribs that only cost ~$20. It was by far the cheapest but equally delicious meals we've had in USVI! They also have a large selection of sparkling water which was nice. We were looking for infant sunscreen and they do not sell any sunscreen here so we went to Walgreens down the street for non-food toiletries. Do not go if you're just visiting and not a local. This place has everything-- EVERYTHING, but sold in large bulk like Costco or Sam's. Meat looks sketchy. Warehouse type store has great variety! We stopped in here to to get provisions for our St. Thomas vacation. Food is expensive on the island, but these prices were pretty good. Locals were shopping here so it must be competitive. They have just about everything you would need including produce, baked goods, dairy, meats, frozen foods, liquor, dry goods, canned goods.......you get the idea. It's a warehouse store, same as on the mainland but island sized. We went early Saturday morning and the checkout line was long but it moved. read more

Sams/Costco like feel. Great prices on most things considering the cost in general on the island. If you're traveling it's a great place to stock up for your vacation. We saved a fortune by going here, therefore we were able to splurge other places. I didn't catch her name but the customer service lady was amazing and so kind. read more
