Two years after Nina helped me get into a great Optima she helped me upgrade to an SUV! Life with two kids in a sedan was getting too cramped, so I sent Nina a message and we started the process! Finding something in this market proved challenging because everyone is buying, but with some patience, we found a beautiful 2019 Equinox that is PACKED with features! Whoever drove this before me made sure it had the Driver Confidence and Convenience packages, so I have remote start (a must in winter!), a Backup Camera (with audible alerts if I get too close!), and too much to list here! I was working within a budget, which wasn't small, but still was limited, and she and her manager made it happen! Thank you BOTH for your devotion! I was able to buy a used SUV from home and have it delivered! I especially enjoyed signing the paperwork with Kevin, who was kind, funny, and had only great things to say about the Equinox I had chosen. OH and bonus: FULL TANK OF GAS! :D TL;DR: Go to St. J Buick GMC and ask for Nina! To be honest, anyone who works at this location will do right by you, but I've got a soft spot in my heart for Nina! read more

Before you buy a vehicle from ST J Auto, make sure you have a mechanic inspect it. I bought a VW Tiguan from ST J Auto, and took it to the nearest auto shop that could see it after a screeching noise wouldnt go away. Brake pads were worn. It unbelievable! I only had the car for 10 days. ST J's they don't stand by the vehicles that they sell. Be careful. Don't be another number. It's almost something you've seen on the news. This place is the absolute WORST! We recently purchased a BMW and it has been issues from the very beginning. Paul, although such a nice guy, made zero effort to learn about the vehicle he was selling. Everything is online so it's not like you would have to do a lot of work to find something.   Next up is Stephanie in the finance department. I understand she may be somewhat new, but that's no excuse for the amount of screw ups on her end. We agreed to one thing while at the dealership (warranties  etc.) only to receive a call saying an error had been made and we don't have the coverage we thought we had when we walked out of the dealership. A driver had to come from the dealership to our home so we can sign the proper papers with the new agreement. The following day she sent my husband a text message saying that I spoke to someone at the finance company and that never happened. For starters, I can't express how unprofessional it is to send a CUSTOMER a TEXT MESSAGE from your PERSONAL CELL PHONE. If the message was that important a phone call should have been made or an email...anything but a text message like we're buddies instead of the customers that we are.  It doesn't end there...the parts/service department might be the worst part of it all. We had a mechanic look at the car and was told the "Outer CV Joint Boot" was torn. Since it's under warranty we decided to bring it back to the dealership to be repaired...what a huge mistake that was. While replacing the CV Joint Boot they somehow cut the brake line and sent us home with a loaner vehicle (WITH AN EXPIRED INSPECTION STICKER), please tell me how that's possible? So instead of being able to drop off the loaner vehicle and pick our vehicle up the next day, we had to wait another day. We finally picked our car up and before we could make it home we hear a loud clunk noise. We stopped at another mechanic down the street from our house and they said the axle bolt was so loosely screwed on that they could easily unscrew it with their fingers.  I was seriously considering purchasing another vehicle from this dealership, but after all of this I don't even want to hear their name or see their commercials on my television! read more

Please learn from our mistake. Do NOT do business here!! Imagine saving for your retirement vehicle, spending $72,000 and finding out it needs a head gasket at 4000 miles. Experience says that means problems with the vehicle later. When traveling across country and there are problems, where will the people you deal with be? At different jobs. We were told, and I quote: "John Laschiavo is NOT involved in the day to day operations of the business. He will not speak to anyone on the phone." Hmmmm. Maybe he should be involved!! Was a huge waste of time! Was told many different things and tried many different options with two different co-signers and still wasn't able to get approved. The last time we tried they told us that having a top credit co-signer we would be able to get a lease and be out in no time, so we get a top credit co-signer and they said the bank said no because you and your co-signer do not live at the same address! I have never ever heard of that being such a thing! So after 2 weeks of trying to reach someone to talk to and never receiving any answers we went to Ford right up the street and was in and out in a matter of 3 hours with a brand new vehicle worth more then the vehicle we were trying for at GMC. read more

Called and gave information and told them I wanted to purchase a vehicle and they sold it out from under me the next day while I was being told that my info was in the financing office and she was behind. This place gives dealerships a bad name. We were on vacation when the transmission went out in my 2016 GMC pickup. The service manager was more interested in making money than in helping a loyal GM customer ( 40 yrs/ 8 vehicles). She knew I was from out of town and said that she sometimes helped her regular customers off-set repair costs with GM's 'Goodwill Assistance Program', but it was a dealership decision & was unwilling to help. I pulled out of lot & the check engine light was still on. I had to return to service department. $4,900 & 8 days later I made it home. read more

This place does not have their act together. I went here because when we bought our Subaru at ST J Subaru we had a great experience, unfortunately ST J Buick GMC doesn't provide the same customer service.It was the worst car buying experience I have ever experienced. It started off good the salesman was very friendly and greeted us right away. The deal process went fine and Stephanie in finance was great. They told us they didn't have the title but it was in the mail and would be in the next day or two so we were fine with that. I called two days later only to find out GMC still hadn't released the title to them because of an error in the form they submitted. From there it was excuses after excuses on why it was taking so long. Finally 5 day later when they still didn't have the title I asked to speak to the general manager. She continued to give excuses and give the impression that she was to important to deal with this saying she doesn't usually get involved unless it's a 911 issue. Excuse me not having a title for a car that you sold and still not having it should be a 911 issue not to mention an upset and frustrated customer. The next day she called back saying they got the tittle and her tone had changed she was apologetic and said she would have it delivered the next business day because she wanted to make sure it looked great for us.The next business day the salesman calls to set up delivery he tells me when he expecting to get it to me. After that time passes I had to call to find out the delivery guy was running late and wouldn't be there for another 3 hours. I guess getting our car to us that we have been waiting a week for wasn't a priority. The detailing job was horrible dirt and leaves under the seat and still dirt in the seems of the seat. Bottom line next time I'm in the market for a new car I will problem be looking elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this dealership to anyone wanting service done on t their vehicles. I had a remote car started put in my 2011 Terrain and have heating issues since. I have brought my vechile to them for different services and letting the know about a flapping noise whenever I put the heat on. They would tell me it has nothing to do with the remote starter installation. They did tell me they would check it out. The first time they said they did not find anything. The second time the air cabin filter needed to be changed. The third time nothing. I was just in again on the 13th of June just for this problem. The tech found a bulletin on I. The service rep told me about it and said it would cost $133 and it should fix it. Knowing that and them knowing I was going out of state for a week I said to go ahead and fix it. After the bulletin was done they told me it failed. They could fix it with replacing the actuator and the cost would be $215 installed. Well guess what they did not have the puart in stock. After talking about this to a few people in the dealership I left unhappy. I did let them know I would be contacting GMC and posting about my experience. They did not care. The GMC customer service rep let me know they talked to the dealership and nothing could be done. I did let her know although I loved my GMC's I would not be buying another one. GMC's service is the worst. read more
