This is the worst experience I've had at the bread company. The sandwich had no flavor and no condiments to give anything any flavor. The soup was exactly what it is called!!! It was only soup (consistency of water). My sisters was exactly the same. The girl I spoke with was rude and didn't want to give me to her manager. She hung up on me twice. Stopped for lunch with friends on a road trip. I had half sandwich with half salad. My sandwich was a chicken salad and tossed salad was great wth dried apples. So bummed to see this location go downhill. I went this morning with my toddler around 10am and had to order on the kiosk since no workers would come out to the front. They were out of almost everything-the bagels and pastries were almost all empty. The employees were audibly complaining, fighting with each other, and acting extremely annoyed to be there. All of the tables were dirty (nowhere to sit so I cleaned a table for us) and the restaurant as a whole was really dirty and unkempt. I've been a long-time fan of Panera as a convenience lunch, and only learned of the St Louis connection after moving here. Anyways, my lunch there today went well. They were busy, but there was only about a 7-min wait after ordering at the self-order kiosk and the tables/chairs were clean. The kiosks are convenient during busy times. My chicken and avocado sandwich was flavorful and the bread had a nice, crispy toasted texture. The cost, $16 for a sandwich, chips and soda, is a little high. But the quality is decent and this is where inflation has brought us. Overall a good experience. read more

First time at the location. 7 PM at night and they were not busy at all. Nobody in line. Waited quite a while at the pick up counter for my soda cup because there was nobody there. Was disappointed that they were out of ice coffee. No lids to fit the cups. Use the restroom and it was quite dirty. Much to my surprise, even though there were no customers, there was also no soufflés of any kind and for some reason again, they had no nutmeg for the coffee. Latte had no caramel flavor and was not sweet at all even though I asked for it to be made with honey. Also, they've changed their sandwiches, before we could get an over medium unscrambled egg. I asked for a round egg and got a scrambled one. The counter person said they didn't know what I meant by a round egg. All in all, disappointing especially as I had gotten up early to stop there and there were no other customers but one of their most items(the soufflés), had not even been started. We drove all the way to the restaurant for ace steak and cheese ciabatta sandwich. When I ordered it, I specifically said two times no onions and no peppers just the steak and cheese. Hair were in the middle of a thunderstorm, warning, but went out to get that one sandwich. I drove home, gave it to the person that ordered it and the whole stinking sandwich was covered with caramelized onions. Are you kidding me! One thing that we asked for could not be done correctly. Couldn't go out again so we ended up putting it in the trash! Over $14 wasted! Cannot eat the onions when you're allergic to them. We stopped at the store on 201 E 5th St. Eureka. MO on our way to St. Louis. The place was filthy with dirty dishes and food on most of the tables. There were only 2 people working and the man was on his phone so he wasn't any help. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes with no help coming so we went to the kiosk. The bathrooms were dirty with no TP in the Women's and no trash can for the used paper towels in the Men's. The trash was thrown on the floor. We finally got our tomato soup (after watching the woman fumbling to fix it and complaining to herself) It was lukewarm, slopped over the sides of the bowls and only half full, with stale croutons. When we took our dishes to the drop off, it was full of dirty dishes and trash. I've been to a lot of St. Louis Bread co/Paneras and always had a great experience. I'm a frequent customer and am thankful to have this drive-thru option in Eureka. Sometimes the lines get backed up -- can't always blame the staff for that. :) All of the bread options are great. Come in for a bagel (several flavor choices) and get it bread sliced. (How is that only a St. Louis thing??). They do have some great breakfast sandwiches as well. For lunch/dinner, you have a selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, mac 'n cheese, and a few others. I love the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken when it's in season (late spring and through the summer). They did recently get rid of my favorite sandwich, but I have come to love the Roasted Turkey, Apple, and Cheddar sandwich. The chicken and wild rice soup is also delicious (only available on certain days -- check the soup menu before ordering). Get a You Pick 2 and try out a couple of things. read more

I'm being generous... the service and food prep is ridiculously slow. We had 2 salad and 2 drinks. It took 21 min to get the salads. There were 2 orders before us..also salads. The ice machine didn't work so you had to get ice from the barista. When we ordered, we were given a buzzer to set on the table. We realized she wasn't using them when she shouted out people's first names. You had to go pick up your own food. I got soup at this location on a Friday afternoon in the drive-thru during the pandemic. St. Louis Bread Co is somewhat unique in that it has a drive-thru but the food isn't greasy and fried. That's a plus! The successful thing about this soup is that it was HOT! It's rare to be served soup at the proper temperature at a St. Louis Bread Co. Way to go! I joined the coffee club and it is free coffee every day all summer. This is a great way to bring people in. Normally it is $8.99 a month which is still a great deal. I bring my own milk to put in the coffee and it tastes great. They have been fast and friendly. Today I ordered the egg white sandwich with avocado. Drive through and carry out is great, but when you order online, you run a risk of having your order messed up. Missing items, wrong items sent, or not delivering on time and then the manager seeing something different on their end versus the confirmation you got on your end. Panera needs to get their act together on the delivery side. We live and own a business in Eureka, and I don't even want to know how much we have spent on ourselves and out clients at this Panera here. The orders were ALWAYS wrong until thank the Lord we can now use rapid pick up. If I forget to order something I will actually go back to the car and do rapid pick-up because the drive through can only get 1 of 10 orders correct. I have complained to the manager and have even had general managers contact me-nothing changes. The portions have gotten smaller and smaller and they are always out of something. (they have been out of spicy mustard for weeks-really?)After I spit out the first bite of my steak and arugula sandwich today, because I wasn't quite sure what I bit into, this the hard gristle that was left.
