I've done takeout from truck Norris twice now since their reopening and both times it was a positive experience. First time I got the chicken artichoke sandwich, which was huge. Second time I got the sweet potato tacos. Both times I got the side of tots, which they give you a huge portion of. I've enjoyed everything I've order so far. Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, and while I can't speak to the speed during their busy times (I've always come on off hours) I always got my order quickly. The restaurant is part of a strip mall with savers and there's plenty of parking (at least during non-peak hours). I've been following the truck Norris saga since their closure and reopening and I wish them lots of success! read more

We were 2.5 hours away from home and in town for a baseball tournament. I hope we have another one close again, we will be back! Once our waitress came to take our order she could tell we looked like we had questions... not really questions but everything sounded so good!!!! There were tables around, no line to order but we were advised food wait would be about 45 minutes. Drinks provided quickly. I like how the soda was in a to go cup. This is our favorite weeknight dinner spot! The egg rolls and All hail Ceasar are what dreams are made of. The food is always delicious and the portions are very generous. The drink specials are creative and taste great too. Our son is a big fan of the dirty sodas. There are lots of TVs and they have always been able to accommodate any of the games we wanted to see. Jalapeño Popper and Mac Daddy Egg Rolls were our favorites. The house made sauces were excellent. Gyr-chos were loaded with toppings and surprised how much feta cheese came with it! Big Panda sandwich had the perfect mix of sweet orange chicken sauce, spicy mayo, and crunchy slaw. Everything was fresh and packed with flavor. Generous portions. I finally made it into the brick-and-mortar spot from the Truck Norris food truck, and it's a fun little place. Inside has a bright, vibrant vibe -- kind of a mix between fast casual and sports bar. They even have a small patio out front if the weather's good. Full bar's available too, but I stuck to food and a soda this time. Service was excellent. The staff member who helped me was super friendly and took the time to walk me through the huge menu. With all the creative options, it definitely helped me narrow things down. Food rundown: * Egg Roll Sampler (4/5): four different egg rolls with matching sauces. The Mac Daddy (mac & cheese + brisket) was my favorite -- rich and tasty. The jalapeño popper roll was my least favorite. Flavor was fine, but the filling texture just didn't do it for me. * Tater Tots with Sweet Chili Sauce (4.25/5): crispy, well seasoned, and the sweet chili drizzle gave them a nice little kick. Totally addictive. * Dr Pepper Twisted Soda (4.25/5): I'm a Dr Pepper fan, and this made it creamy and extra indulgent. Worth trying if you like soda with a twist. Easy order at counter with food brought quickly to your table during a Friday lunch hour. Really enjoyed the shrimp tacos that were stuffed with great breaded shrimp and mango salsa. Tots were a must but generous portions so enough to take home! Full service bar and happy hour specials that we will need to come back for. There's something about a place with this name that draws you in. It's creative and yet intriguing. We went there for dinner not knowing that they were having bingo night. The menu is unusual and it's clear that they take pride in creating delicious dishes that are creative and stand up even in their food truck. Unfortunately their food truck was having some sort of mechanical problems, or might've been stolen, I'm a little fuzzy on the details. Nonetheless the hot honey tater tots were amazing and the drinks delicious. Most of their pork sandwiches that we tried were phenomenal. The service was impeccable. As I mentioned earlier they had bingo which was free and super fun. They awarded prizes and played about 10 games of bingo over the course of an hour and a half. That added to the atmosphere of the bar as everybody was basically celebrating and having fun while playing a game. It was just ok. Wish the chicken would have been marinated first and the sandwich bread wasn't so greasy. Bacon was soggy too. I got it without the ranch and did Buffalo sauce instead and it tasted decent. Tots were ok. Didn't know they were ganna come with a ton of sauce on them. Woulda preferred plane so gotta specify next time. My wife got the chicken Caesar and it had the same mediumly dry chicken. Not bad but not great. The experience was a solid 3/5 for me. I honestly didn't know what all the hype was about for this place but whoa! Decided to order ahead of time for a pickup order on a Sunday afternoon and whoa! The food was so tasty! The pulled pork torches were PERFECT! I am a picky eater and I loved the option to pick what I wanted on my food. The tots were cooked perfectly (perfectly browned!), the pickled jalepenos were the perfect compliment to them along with the shredded Romain lettuce, and the lovely bbq sauce! They were very nice and helpful. Explaining happy hour offerings and when I presented two options to choose from I got an honest reply which I appreciated. I ended up with the street corn tacos which were indeed as delicious as I was told. On the side I had an order of tots and queso. While I enjoyed the tots it was way too much food lol also the queso was bland and I would have liked a bit of a spicier blend. My mother got the pulled pork sliders and she said that the pulled pork was good. I was surprised to hear her say the pulled pork alone would make her come back... this was my choice and I am a more adventurous eater than she. The one thing she did complain about was that the tots were too crispy, but as the man at the counter said they are known for their Totchos I kind of figured they were made more crispy to hold up to the toppings that go on them. I did not mind their crispiness but it is a taste thing. Overall I would definitely come back for some more of those Corn Tacos and a couple other things on the menu. Today, a friend took me to Truck Norris's. It's right behind the Dairy Queen on Clayton east of Clarkson. The food was outstanding and the service was amazing. I looked over the menu and thought about trying one of each -- so many choices and new combinations. Good thing I ordered the small smashburger and Tater Tots. I took half of it home -- the portions were generous. For those who enjoy a drink, there are wines, beers, and cocktails available. l Good food, fair prices, and outstanding service. We decided to order 2 different sandwiches and split them, along with changing the sauce options on the tots. The 1st was All Hail Ceasar Sandwich, 2nd, Chicken McFly. Workers are great - came by to check on us several times during meal. I got the hail chicken caesar sandwich. It was just OK. Chicken was on the dry side & caesar dressing was kinda bland. Didn't have that normal caesar tangy zest flavor to it like I'm used to. The tots were crispy, but all the sauce on top makes them soggy really quickly. I really wish this place would offer more side options than just tots. Not everyone likes that. The staff was so nice and friendly and made sure our order was packed without errors. Toppings were carefully packaged individually to prevent a soggy, unpleasant experience at home. The food travelled relatively well, but since most of it was fried, it probably would've tasted best onsite. New place - had to check it out. We had never been to their food truck and were not familiar with their menu prior to going there. The place is super clean! And the service is friendly and pretty quick. Orders are placed at a counter and the food is brought to your table. There is also a full bar there. It wasn't busy the night we were there, so I don't really know if the noise level could be kind of loud sometimes. I counted 13 televisions. I'm guessing it could be loud during some games. I don't think there's anywhere to sit that you couldn't see a TV. The food was good, but maybe not great. My husband got the Tipsy Pig sandwich and it was pretty tasty. I got the street corn and chicken tacos and I was underwhelmed. There was way too much street corn and way too little chicken and it was lacking in flavor. The bf has been wanting to try Truck Norris Twisted Eats (the famous truck's new sit down restaurant) since it was announced, and it turned out to their opening weekend! Glad to see a steady stream of customers out to support a new local business, and the staff was friendly and seemed more than ready to handle everyone. We enjoyed everything we tried, I especially loved the Caesar sandwich, which comes on croissant bread with a large side of fresh, delicious tater tots. All the egg rolls we sampled were amazing as well. The interior is fresh and clean, with fun St. Louis and movie poster decor, both full of tater tot references. Had to make the trek to Ellisville after hearing the news story about Truck Norris's Food Truck getting demolished. The food looked right up our alley and we wanted to help out in whatever way we could. You won't have to smash the next truck to get us back, we had a wonderful time! The restaurant is tucked into the corner of a strip mall, but it is bigger than it appears from the outside. The vibe inside is awesome, you could come here for just about any occasion: watching sports, quick lunch, family dinner, date night...etc. The restaurant is bright and clean with great original artwork and installations throughout. The food is an innovative take on pub food with fun variances of your classic favorites. We had to try the egg roll sampler with corresponding dipping sauces. They were all delicious with the sauces adding that perfect touch. My wife had the Caesar Sandwich and I had the Big Fat Panda, both fun takes on your traditional chicken sandwiches. Our bartender/server Stephanie was a delight! She helped with recommendations, gave us background on the restaurant and was just an overall joy to speak with! First tip: find the Dairy Queen at Clarkson & Clayton - Truck Norris is behind that building. You're welcome. Now, on to the food....I tried the street corn chicken tacos and they were a winner! The chicken is roasted and has great flavor. Topped with street corn, a creamy sauce and a sprinkle of cojita. These were so good! I chose the side of tater tots, which were crispy and tasty. A bit bland but that was my fault because you could sprinkle a seasoning on them but I wasn't familiar with their blends and I was afraid they would be too spicy. Which brings me to my second tip: go in and chat with the staff to find out more about the menu before ordering. There's a lot here and you'll want to take it in before choosing. I'm sure those seasonings would have elevated my tots to the next level but I wasn't sure and I missed out. The service was pretty non existent, tho. There were 2 waitresses when I walked in but no one greeted me or asked if I needed anything. After a few minutes, I asked one of the kitchen staff if they could hand me my take out which was sitting in the window. NBD but I did think it was odd. I decided to check out Truck Norris after hearing Truck Norris opened a brick and mortar location, having had them on lunch on occasion from their truck I figured it would be nice to check out when not pressed for time at the office. Upon entering the location the atmosphere is bright and open. It took a few moments to be greeted, as it seemed like I arrived at prep time. The restaurant seemed surprisingly quiet for a weekday afternoon. I decided to order nash-chos and the mac n cheese grilled cheese with pulled pork, the nash-chos were solid, the chicken and tots melded together with a very mild buffalo flavor, the mac n cheese grilled cheese held together surprisingly well considering the construction of the ingredients therein, I would suggest forgoing the pulled pork however, as it added a bland dryness that the grilled cheese, which otherwise would have been a more pleasing mouth feel. Nothing really wowed me upon my visit, truck norris is great when pressed for time during lunch, but as a brick and mortar experience, it falls into the average category, and if you aren't getting totchos you're missing the point. read more

we had 2 chicken sandwiches, my husband's was tough and mine was VERY thin with a heavy crust. Both forgettable. The tater tots were good ( what could go wrong there)and my salad was of a nice size. The price was expensive for the sandwiches, plastic cutlery, served on paper and prison style steel plates. we also did not appreciate being nickel and dimed for $2 plus dollars for a minute sauce/dressing. The ambiance left much to be desired and the metal chairs were off putting. For the price of the menu, we expected at least bar/restaurant amenities. We will not be back. read more
