Once middle school starts, the environment shift's drastically. I have also learned most teachers here aren't qualified. Parkview teaches their own perspective of what a Christian should be, and quite frankly, that is very unprofessional. The lower campus is growing mold, the upper campus sells expired sodas, chips, and other treats. Last year was parkviews downfall after they hired a principle by the name of Kerri mccastland. The principle only showed up about 5 times a month, if that. The days she would show up, she would yell at students at a voice not even a mother could scream at her child with, and the way she would try and "resolve" problems was very inappropriate for a principal. She would bring the student into the office and talk to them in a tone so unprofessional, it was as if the student was talking to their peers. At the end of the discussion, there was no discipline, it was as if she just wanted to yell at them with the student getting no point across, just getting yelled at. When students tried reporting something, instead of resolving it, it would be a one sided argument. They're was a front desk employee named Mary Ellen West, she was always gossiping with the principle, locked in the office, and often times students would sit in the lobby, waiting for them to finish gossiping. With two locations in Yorkville, the facilities are easily accessible to families in Yorkville and in surrounding communities. Both of my daughters have participated in the tumbling program. My older child started tumbling at an older age, and YPAC welcomed her and built both her strength and confidence. The teachers are knowledgeable in proper form and safety. My youngest started in a parent/child class, Pre-COVID. It was more of an open gym/exploratory class, which was a fun introduction to tumbling. We just started back after a break for COVID, and the facility remains impressive. My now the year old jumped right in to participate, which impressed me. The teachers are obviously experienced with younger children. The facility has a great plan on place to safely check children in without a lot of close contact and traffic through the building, and parents can still watch class via Zoom. Prices are a little high- billing is monthly, and there is also an annual membership fee. I do believe that there are some scholarships available.

I sure wouldn't be opposed to my tuition going toward colored paint or art on the walls. The gigantic windows let in the sun which feels great when school gets boring and uninspiring at the end of the day. One thing that really bugs me is They have nothing for food here. If you can live off of chips and soda Or you don't mind the wonder of, if you have worms after eating a hotdog from the gas station across the street then you'll be fine. When I come in at 1030 and go home at 345 chip is not going to cut it and I don't want worms. The computers in the library are frequently occupied and each computer is so close to the next one you feel like your sitting on your neighbor so that kinda sucks. Over all I like the campus. It's convenient, it's sunny, and the pond looks like a good study spot if it would stop being winter in April! Go to school it's good go you!!!

I really love this place, it is truly a perfect fit for a family with young kids, that likes to…read morestay active, and needs options for sports and programs. We also utilize before and after school care (BASE, used to be called SAFE) and activity days during non-school days. The fitness room has been recently refreshed, and is kept very clean. The programs offered have a great variety and varied scheduling, and it isn't too hard to get into something of interest. We've been very happy with our experience in both gymnastics and swimming, and are looking forward to trying the revamped basketball program. We've been members for over 10 years, since before marriage and kids, and we love the Y - and I'm excited for the new North Branch to open soon, too.

This is the-flock The Lord has committed to him. Pastor Robbie along with the other pastors, are very serious about doing the work of the Ministry, which is preaching the gospel and making disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ-and that includes the children! My first grandson has been under the ministry of this church most of his young life... he has just graduated from high school and has made the decision that he wants to go into the Ministry himself. He is presently in college, preparing to be a minister! The children are very seriously considered, here and have a wonderful Sunday school /children's church ministry for the ones who are too young to be in the service . This staff, composed of men and women are very conscientious about meeting the needs of ALL people from the youngest to the oldest! I myself am not a member, but love coming to a baptism or any celebration! I have joyfully been going to the women's functions, which is also given a lot of thought and planning, and they are absolutely wonderful! I'm pretty close to becoming a member myself‼

Because of this, I have grown deeper in my faith. I enjoy the worship music. It is great! Pastor Jon Lawson is a down to earth, common sense pastor. He is extremely knowledgeable about the bible (as would be expected). The congregation in general is very friendly. There is a very welcoming atmosphere. New Life continues to grow and it's awesome watching how many people have been saved there! During worship...you can just feel the spirit tugging at your heart. It's an indescribable feeling. Thank you New Life Church for all of your caring and doing!!!
