Valkyrie doughnuts has some of the most amazing donuts and whats absolutely insane is the fact they are vegan and they don't taste it one bit! They are massive and delicious, plenty of options to choose from too! My favorite was the Florida cream and almond cheesecake, French toast was fun too! The dough of the donuts is soft, pillowy, delicious and weirdly enough gluten or bread items usually hurt me, but weirdly i had no issues having their donuts . Their Ube coffee was a treat, unusual, delicious and not too sweet! The vibe is so cool, but not really a sit down spot, more of a pickup spot. They sold out of donuts when I came, but they had plenty of other goodies for sale. I got a Lavendar & Matcha Bar ($7) and a Sassy Brookie ($8.75). The lavendar matcha bar was good but the flavors were a bit too light for me. However, the Sassy Brookie was packed with both flavor and texture. There was some kind of lint wedged into part of the icing part which was a bit off-putting, but not enough to make me abandon the rest of the brookie which was delicious. It's a very rich and fudgy dessert, so it lasted me a few days. Grab an extra fork because mine snapped trying to dig into the thick bars. I didn't know until after I had finished eating everything that Valkyrie makes all vegan desserts, so I am even more impressed. The interior is cute and has some other non-food items for sale such as cards and candles. Plan to take your items to-go because there is only one small counter that seats two. read more

Nancy and I stopped in during the annual Halloween street party for a sweet treat and boy did they have them. I've been wanting to visit Valkyrie in Orlando for some time now and the one time I was there they were closed, bummer. I finally decided on the Death Bar ($9) which has a brownie base, whipped peanut butter filling, chocolate ganache icing and candied orieos on top, delicious! I stopped by here with my girlfriend for a sweet treat on her birthday, and the staff was so knowledgeable and sweet! We got two cupcakes (7/10 but cupcakes aren't my thing usually) and the cheddar chive scone (11/10!!!). To our pleasant surprise, everything was VEGAN! That's their whole bit I guess. My partner and I recently popped in here and wow, I'm obsessed. Loved the vibe of the place and the staff member who assisted us, well he was amazing. The donut choices were great. My daughter has a cows milk protein allergy, so when it came to getting a smash cake for her first I decided to try Valhalla since they have nailed the vegan goods. One of the BEST cakes I have ever had and many others who tried the cake! We had strawberry frosting with graham cracker cake and it was to die for. These are vegan? Like for real? I've had some phenomenal vegan donuts but those have been the exceptions to the rule. More often vegan donuts are bad. Still, I keep putting myself out there. In the case of Valkyrie Doughnuts, I am so glad I did. The flavors at Valkyrie are very unique and interesting. You aren't only getting vanilla or chocolate topped here. During my visit, I opted for a Rose Pistachio, Guava and Strawberry Lemonade although there were at least three others I was considering. Texture wise, these donuts are on par with the fried pieces dough I grew up with in Central Pennsylvania. The Valkyrie version were not super greasy. They were sugary, as donuts usually are, but they didn't seem overly sweet. Price wise, Valkyrie Doughnuts are on par with vegan donuts I've had elsewhere. Four dollars for a donut will definitely make someone who doesn't eat vegan do a triple check, but for a vegan dessert this is pretty par for the course (and to be fair, they are pretty big). Clockwise, from light orange on: Thai tea, triple chocolate, French toast, vanilla lavender, and almond rose. I feel my mouth was baptized by that almond rose water donut. Wow! Potent! Very unique and tasty, but definitely more of an acquired taste due to the amount of rose water used this time. Vanilla lavander was a beautifully subtle, but bright flavor. Mmm. French toast was soooo good. That glaze was *on point*, more like a maple flavor. Triple chocolate is definitely more apt for real hardcore fans of chocolate. A little too rich for me, but still a nice donut. Thai tea was another unique flavor. They really nailed it! The frosting did taste like that distinctive flavor of Thai tea. Walking up I instantly liked this place with their Dog Friendly AF sign on the window. LOL. They have a bowl outside their store as well. Inside you find subtle artwork painted on the walls and I found an almost empty display case. But it was a little after 2pm so that is great for them, bad for me. But that also helped narrow down my options. I choose the Caramel Popcorn to try on my first visit. I took this "breakfast" item home to be nice and share with Ben. It was still fresh and "fluffy" and the caramel tasted just like the kind used with caramel popcorn. A few bites had actual peanuts in them which was also really good. I absolutely adore their pistachio rose water bar! And take it from me, get their cake slices. You'll thank me later. Sooo good. We had to get coffees too and those were great, too. Yikes! A doughnut place that didn't have a single doughnut when we got there. Drove 30 minutes because we loved all the pics we saw on yelp but all they had were a few sad pastries and cupcakes. My friend paid $11 for an iced coffee and a pathetic little cupcake. The worker was friendly enough. Place is tiny with just one table with a couple of chairs so definitely not a place to hang out.
