staying at the burrard was a pleasure. it's in a great location, offers first come first serve parking (be prepared to have to park elsewhere if you arrive late in the day,) has lots of amenities that make for a comfortable stay and have a friendly, welcoming staff. the price per night is reasonable for what you get, the proximity to elysian coffee is going to make people happy in the mornings and there are fun perks like non alcoholic happy hour in the lobby and games like ping pong and cornhole in the courtyard. i would assume when warmer weather hits the hotel is thriving but on the vancouver sun run weekend with thousands of participants, the hotel remained quiet and a nice refuge from the busy street. when i checked out, i was asked if i preferred a printed itemized receipt or delivered via email. i chose the latter and never received it which was kind of annoying but if i have an issue when i see the final charge on the credit card, i will call the hotel directly. i'd not only stay at the burrard again, id recommend it to others as a good value for the comforts they offer. the sheets and bed were very comfortable, the housekeeping staff was amenable and the bathroom was spotless when i arrived. it made for a nice weekend stay north of the border.

Hotel in downtown Vancouver with a coastal decor - sort of like Miami. They have a nice patio area in the middle of the building with a fire pit, ping pong table, and a few chairs/tables. Rooms are a bit dated, but sufficient. it's an older building that's had a remodel. Across the street from a hospital, so can get loud from the street noise and vehicles. Our room had an inside portable air conditioner, which was loud and kept turning off and on to try to hold a temp. Luckily I can sleep through the noise. But may bother light sleepers. Front desk was friendly and welcoming. There's also a video game machine that was free to play. Not my first choice of accommodations in Vancouver, but it was available and price was inexpensive.

I stayed here for the first time for two nights on the recommendation of an acquaintance. There is a hospital right across from the hotel, so it is noisy on weekends, so I was recommended to go to the garden side. The room was said to be spacious because it was updated. I had everything I needed, but the sink was so small that every time I washed my face, the floor fell and the legs got wet. , which made me uncomfortable. The soap provided in the bathroom was quite difficult to use because it would not come out without squeezing the bottle. The hair dryer was in the opposite direction, and it was convenient on the left. Other than that, the room is clean and convenient. The hotel staff is kind and gives a good impression. Next time, I want to stay upstairs.

Nice comfortable king bed in our room. The shower was hot and perfect at the end of a long travel day. Convenient location. They have a free non alcoholic happy hour- palomas and chips in lobby- 7-10 pm ish. Dog friendly. Felt really safe. Nice courtyard. And you get to wake up with fresh espresso in the room!

A 50s style motor lodge that's been kind of tricked out, brought up to date for modern times yet retains some of that vintage vibe. LOVE IT. We stayed 4 days recently and also got other family members a room for 3 days. Love the small, intimate and cozy nature of the lodge, the quiet rooms and best of all, King size beds. Plenty of outlets for electronic gear and a refridgerator. The second floor has a fire pit with plenty of space to sit around and evenings after dinners out we found ourselves enjoying the warmth of the fire and the lights (not to be missed) and palm trees behind the area. Just off the lobby in the hotel is The Elysian, a superb espresso shop with snacks and light sandwiches. Some of the best coffee in the area was to be found here. The staff is spot on service oriented, friendly, and a real pleasure to be around. Bottom line: this is a great place to stay and is close to Davie street which has a lot of great places to eat, bars and small shops. Love this place, very highly recommended.

We stayed during the Taylor Swift tour. While the prices were inflated as all hotels were during that time, the hotel staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. They provided a Swiftie welcome swag, snacks, and set up a special photo booth for concert goers to take pictures. Extremely convenient location with a new Starbucks right across the street.

We had a nice stay here. Free parking with hotel stay, and the coffee shop is great right downstairs. The rooms are comfortable and the courtyard has great vibes. Definitely would recommend it, the location is great.

The Burrard was the perfect choice for our quick little getaway to Vancouver. The location is great--many shops and restaurants nearby to explore. The staff in the lobby were friendly and even gave us restaurant suggestions. Also, they have a parking garage which is definitely a positive! Price was decent and the room was clean!

This gem of a boutique hotel is the perfect spot for our stay while awaiting our cruise. It is eclectic, fun and clean. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable-- in particular, Rachelle at the front desk. ELsa was our attentive floor attendant. She was extremely helpful directing us to the different amenities that the hotel has (i.e. microwave, washer/dryer). She also helped us with extra towels.

The room was very clean and bright. I also appreciated the nespresso machine in the room, and free coffee. You could grab extra capsules in the lobby as well as bottled water as you needed it. There is an outdoor seating area around an electric fire, and palm trees behind it. It's lovely because it feels like a piece of paradise in the heart of the city. It is centrally located downtown, so you can walk to the beach, to main shopping streets, restaurants/cafes and the art museum. If you don't want to walk, you can use the hotel's free bikes or easily access public transportation. The staff were accommodating and helpful with getting new towels and supplies. Because covid measures are in place, you need to leave garbage/recycling outside of your door and request new towels, bedding, etc at the front desk. Everyone is wearing masks in shared spaces, and covid measures are followed appropriately. The fire pit in the shared outside space could get a bit noisy at night when guests gathered around it, so it would be good if there were a cutoff time, when the fire is shut off. Also, some products in the bathroom, such as shampoo/conditioner/soap could be upgraded. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay in the city if you want a retro paradise feel that's close to everything.

These beds and pillows were some of the best hotel beds/pillows I've ever slept on. We all slept so well! We also ordered room service for breakfast and everything was so good, with reasonable room service prices for the amount you get. Didn't use the gym, but it's recently renovated and beautiful. They provide iced water infused with electrolytes and there are even Pilates machines! There's also a heated rooftop outdoor pool that we didn't have time to take advantage of too. Not only is this hotel amazing, but it's in a prime location to everything - especially if you're a first time visitor to Vancouver. A one-bedroom signature suite at L'Hermitage was significantly less than a regular room at the Pan Pacific and the Rosewood so I booked 3 nights ($625CAD/night). I got off the Silver Moon at 9:45am, handed my luggage off to a representative from Luggage Forward, and walked from the cruise terminal up to the hotel. My room wasn't ready, so I dropped off my carry-on and backpack and went shopping and to have lunch. I was still on my way to CF Pacific Centre when the front desk called, informing me my room was ready. I told them I'd return after lunch. Wow, I loved my room (707)! As you entered through a short hallway, you found yourself looking at a full kitchen to your right, bathroom to your left and then the bedroom, past a closet housing a stack washer/dryer. The living room was bright and airy because there were walls of glass. Past the kitchen was a den with a desk and sofa. Off the living room was a small lanai overlooking the pool. The kitchen featured a gas range, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. It was like a timeshare unit, not a hotel room, as there was tableware, glassware, etc. The only nitpick was the bathroom; it didn't quite measure up to the rest of the unit. It was small, with a full-sized glass-enclosed tub, a Toto (but without the washlet) toilet, and a small vanity and shelf unit opposite the vanity. It was totally functional, but I wished the tub had a shower wand, not just the rain head. If I could, I'd want this room moved to Hawaii to become my residence. The front desk staff were personable and friendly. The exercise facilities were fine. The L'Orangerie restaurant is located on the 5th floor ... more on that in a separate review.
