Excellent fish fry during Lenten season. Always wise to arrive so you can avoid being shoehorned into the tables.

Great food, can't beat the price. Also $2 beer. They have carry out and dine in options.

St Seb's is a Westside classic church fish fry - the kind that used to be everywhere but is fast disappearing.

should've listened to fellow yelpers... I've had J&J before,…read moreand loved it. I figured it was a chain, and things can't be that different from store to store. Except it can. I did give an extra star to reflect the friendliness and efficiency. Calling in to order was a breeze, and the staff was super nice. Picking up was also easy, and the portions were huge. So everthing was rolling on smoothly... Until we ate the food. It... just wasn't the same... I'm trying to limit our "chicken" day to once a month, and I wouldn't come back here for that. I'm a little sad. Other J&J locations are better. I also noted some discrepancies in price between here and the website. So maybe they're not a legit J&J? Anyway, the food was just bland... not crispy enough... Wings - too dry. Like old wings. They weren't even hot. Felt like they had been fried some hours ago. Catfish nuggets - fishy. "Fishy" smelling fried fish means NOT fresh fish. But these were newly made - piping hot. So comparing their warmth to the chicken, you could tell the chicken was definitely made earlier, before we had called. Fries - soggy. Period.

If you've ever ordered from a jjs before you know this is not how the chicken should look! It looks like they ordered kfc and tried to pass it off on us, wtf. Although the chicken was not horrible it definitely was NOT what we were expecting. Very disappointed. Will not be returning. We had to go to the jjs on MLK and order 20 wings from them because we were craving the real thing.

These folks regularly appear at the South Shore Farmer's Market. And I have never tried their…read morenormal barbecue items. But whenever I am there, I try their vegan specials and every one I've had has been delicious. A few weeks ago, it was a jack fruit stew. (While I was waiting for my order, another vendor from the farmers market came by and told the operators that the stew was the best thing he had every eaten at the farmer's market.) Today, I had a squash curry. It was rich, bright yellow, and smelled and tasted delicious. Some restaurants' "vegan" food is bland and plain. Not this place. Highly recommend for people looking for vegetarian or vegan options.

I found this BBQ place that I have never heard of at the Greenfield Farmers Market so I looked into…read morethem and it's a real Milwaukee BBQ place so I'm adding them to Yelp so everyone can check them out. I have to stop when ever I see a BBQ place that I have not tried before. I would try the brisket sandwiches and greens for $9 which is probably one of the most expensive plates at this Farmers market but very reasonable for a BBQ brisket sandwich so I was not expecting a whole lot. The styrofoam box didn't feel like much so once again I was not expecting much. The first opening of the box was Fu%k it's not sliced brisket but that lousy pulled pork style which I despise, if your going to put the hours in to a brisket give it a nice presentation with slices. The bun looked like commercial grocery store cheap burger buns. The greens on the other hand looked fresh, I heard them say they get them from a vender in the Farmers Market. They pushed the sauce on me and I told them I wanted a naked tasting to get an idea of the BBQ. The greens were ok and needed a little seasoning but a good start. The naked brisket had a smokey flavor and pulled style which is least liked by me, slices with that little fat ring left on for flavor is how I like it but it has potential. Overall was it the best BBQ, no but it was not the worst that I have had and there website has some good looking BBQ so I would like to stop by the place and try some other BBQ options.
