A very nice thrift store with a lot to offer. All of the items that they seem to get are in great condition. The store is organized very well which can make it easier to shop in and less overwhelming than other thrift stores. The clothing's is organized based on whether or not it is a "high-end" brand, which shows you just how carefully the items are looked over. Prices can be a little more expensive than other local thrift stores and sometimes their racks and floor space can seem empty. But like any thrift store, its either a hit or miss. One plus is that they have a variety of different discount days that they offer which can make some of the items even cheaper. Check for these days on their road-side sign. read more

It used to be such a nice thrift store then some CEO decided to make it more like Goodwill. Dirty looking, too much clothes, baby clothes thrown on a table, and very expensive! This store is supposed to help people struggling! All I see is a very greedy board of directors. I used to shop here once a week and got all my clothes here because they were so nice. Thought I would make another visit to see if the store's layout and cleanliness had improved hoping my last visit was an aberration. Nope, unfortunately, the state of the store is as it was. Simply put, this particular store once took pride in organizing and displaying merchandise, meaning those who ran this store cared as much about second-hand items and those that donated and bought as much as if the items were new. Everything had its place, set upon shelves and racks with care. That is no longer true. Merchandise looks as if it were just tossed on a shelf, to land as it might. Racks of clothes are not even attempted to be adequately sorted by sizes or straightened. Honestly, it appears that all this store's workers despise those who both donate and shop thrift stores. I will no longer be either donating or shopping here and, believe me, from past posts you can see, I have shopped here plenty and found great finds in years past Shame on St Vincent De Paul for allowing this store to be in the shape it is. read more

We love this Saint Vinnys store. Everyone was super friendly, incredible inventory. We left with many treasures excellent prices and staff that had a sense of humor. We have visited many thrift stores across the country and this is one of our faves. read more

Does not offer a place to try on the clothes you want to buy. And also does not have a return policy; everything is do not return. I recently bought a wedding dress from here, hoping to use it at my wedding this summer, and it does not fit correctly. It is too short so I cannot get it altered. It really sucks because now I can't even return it. This store is overpriced as well. My least favorite store in the area. The SVDP in Apollo is much better than this one. They get my business multiple times a week rather than once a blue moon, like SVDP Monroeville. So much for a person of low income finding a wedding dress that is affordable! read more

I use to love shopping here but the store has gone downhill. I do not like that they have just dumped the children's clothes in bins. They used to be hung up on hangers. This is a huge mistake. Who wants to be searching through bins? The layout of the store is bad. I also don't like the loud music they often play especially on the weekend. I hope to see some improvement. read more

The prices in this place make me sick to my stomach honestly. I don't know who does the pricing but they have lost their mind and need to be admitted. Just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth anything and just because it's carhartt does not mean it gets priced above retail. With holes and the zipper busted out, still pricing over 30+ dollars is mind boggling. This place completely defeats the purpose of it being called a thrift store. I tend to frequent this chain. Their prices are usually fair. This current location is crazy. If any item says "Pittsburgh" it's automatically $20. This isn't a vintage store, it's donation based and a religious organization. Charging $100 for a donated jacket whether it's "vintage" or not is a crime. Support a mom and pop shop instead. The service women were incredibly nice. My friend had to furnish her whole 1 bedroom apt. She is 75 and really on a restricted income. She got a beautiful purple stains looked new for $79, a like new bed frame, box spring, and a mattress for an extremely decent price and lots of lamps and tables, as well as a purple living room chairs that perfectly matched the couch. We found all the linens, blankets, rugs, etc. at the Red White and Blue on Rt 51. Also, because my friend bout so much, she now has free stuff to get with her St. Vincent De Paul's thrift store! Can't beat $180 to furnish your whole apartment. It was $90 to get delivered, but if you have someone to move it cheaper you can do that! read more

One thing that makes thrifting fun is a treasure hunt, because you never know what you're going to find! Except at this store, they keep all the name brand items "to sell at corporate" as if they didn't get donated for free. I literally asked to buy a watch and the manager refused to sell it to me after pulling out her phone and checking to see how much it would go for on eBay. Extremely innapropriate and absolutely demeaning to only sell the worst items that get donated. Shop anywhere but here. read more

This used to be my favorite thrift store, and I'll keep going to see if it can return to its former glory. Now don't get me wrong, this is a great thrift store where you can usually find some really good clothes with really great sales. But, maybe it was the everything 50% off sale the last time I was there, but there wasn't much to choose from. The clothes are very nicely organized in age range (junior/misses) and then into subcategories of athletics, capris, casual, jeans, you get the picture. They also have separated out 'name brands' which I love. They have a small selection of purses, shoes, accessories, and a very small amount of books. If the selection was larger it could have gotten the 5th star, but I'll keep coming back to see if I can hit another 50% off everything, or 99cent tag sale. read more

This store is racking up stars for me why? Biggg Big is good the more merchandise to sift through the more you may find something you like. For resale or otherwise. Decent vintage factor to most of the clothing here. Mostly 80's but hey you never know. Also decent plus size ladies clothing selection. A nice furniture selection if you are looking for that. I will say the customer service did drag on assisting us with our clothing voucher we had to wait an extra twenty minutes for that but, price and selection were pretty good at this store. It is out of the way in Monroeville a bit, just an FYI if you are traveling from the city. Also there is space in this store and more changing rooms which is nice. Also look for tag sales. The picked over factor was not bad at this store visiting a few months after the holidays. Bonus for having a large parking lot. Thrift factor 4/5 Resale Antique factor 3/5. I do a lot of thrifting. That much is clear. I remember once almost a lifetime ago I stopped in here on my way home from work one day. It was as if the heavens had opened up. Not only did I find clothes I liked, but a 2 foot high old painted Virgin Mary that had adorned many an apartment since then. The store is fairly well laid out, although truth be told I feel like it's lost some of it's punch. I was just here two weeks ago on a multi-thrift store venture for the perfect kitschy Christmas outfit for none other than the Yelp Elite Kitschy Christmas event. I didn't find any clothes for myself, although my sister did find a few things. They have an extensive costume jewelry section. The place was packed, but seemed well laid out. The employees were really incredibly friendly. Making small talk and joking around. It was an all together pleasant thrifting experience even if I didn't find much I wanted there. read more

High prices. I didn't see any high-end brands, Mostly old stuff from Target & Kohl's. Casual dresses priced at $9.99. Short sleeved, older pullover from GAP priced at $8.99. I can get stuff on clearance cheaper. Not much merchandise either, lots of empty space on the racks. One star for it being clean, another for it being well-organized. read more

Love this store too and things are a bit limited, but probably it is catching on. I feel everything is much cleaner than most of these stores in our area and they also receive much nicer clothing donations. The staff has always been very friendly too. Nice and big and well organized, but prices are higher here than any other thrift shop nearby. When they realize that $3.99 for a stuffed animal and $10.99 for an extremely used jacket (Northface brand but not in good shape) is waaaaaay too high for a thrift shop and lower their prices I'll check it out again. read more
