Just wanting to share en experience I had at Stacked (shawnessy, and south trail) on a few occasions I've gone to have breakfast for the early bird special. Before 9 am, I've found a hair in my food at both locations on different occasions . I brought it upto the manager when I had noticed it. I've never gone in and demanded a free meal, I've always paid my bill and asked if they could remake it. The waitress rudely accused me of pulling out my hair to get free food. Why would anyone do that?? Especially over an $11 meal (with drink tip and tax) . The manager has since said I'm not welcome back... just wanted to give everyone a heads up this place is gross! read more

First time here and it was good experience. Breakfast I had was the NY blueberry cheesecake pancakes. Lots and very thick. Wife had bacon eggs Benny and that tasted very good. Big menu and the staff was friendly. Pricing was good and portions were large. If you in SE Calgary give this place a try! read more

Went for Sunday brunch for a party of 2. It was only a 10 minute wait which wasn't bad. You leave your number and they will send you a text when your table is ready. There is also a website for you to view your status in line. The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were so light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. 3 huge pancakes topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, it was so good. I had to hold myself back from eating it all as I did not want to feel overstuffed. We all know that pancakes expand in the stomach so I had to pack the rest to go. The eggs Benedict was just ok. Not the best I've ever had but fairly decent. The egg was funny just the way we like and the potato chunks were perfect. Staff was friendly and service was great. I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday and before I went I looked at the website and it stated that this is in fact Canada's first pancake chain restaurant. So I thought that was kind of cool. To me it almost seems like a chorus though? However at my table we got the Peameal with cheese on a bun and we got a Reuben. This place offers a lot of Peameal and before going there I never heard of Peameal. Both were really good. The portions are absolutely huge. I will be back to try pancakes next time! read more

Stacked recently opened down south in Calgary. I noticed that they are a chain and many locations are in Ontario. Prices are good. You can get a pretty big meal for descent prices. The food is comparable to Ricky's, Denny's and other simple breakfast spots. It's not fancy. I really think some of their products are bought from a wholesale. Their waffles, even though it was yummy did not taste as though it was made in house. The eggs they use are the cheapest quality. Their potatoes need more seasoning. Service is good. Overall, a great place if you are wanting a nice place for breakfast. read more

Loved their stacked HASH!!! Omg I ordered it off Uber eats and it was SO BIG! It could fill 3 people I had to get 2 of my other co workers to help me eat it and they loved it. I ordered extra hollandaise which I recommend if you like SAUCYY which I do. read more

I called on the Saturday the 22nd of February to make a reservation for Sunday the 23rd for 4 people at 12:00. I was informed that stacked pancakes don't take reservations on the weekends. It was recommended to me to call on the Sunday, a half a hour before coming in, to go on the wait list. Sunday morning came and I called at 11:30am to go on the wait list. The owner/acting manager Kevin was very, very rude to me when I asked to go on the wait list and I quote "you come NOW I have a table Now, plus other rude comments. I told him we were 4 friends and we were all meeting there........ he hung up. I called back again and a very nice server said, let me check if we have a wait list going. I was handed back to Kevin, again unfortunately and he was loud once more and hung up on me for the second time. I just decided to not bother and meet my friends there as prearranged. Arrived and got a table straight away. Kendra our server was friendly. We all ordered and then waited for the food while drinks were served. One of my guests ordered the cowboy hash, he asked if it was possible to get scrambled eggs on top of the hash and was informed it was no problem. What arrived for him was a small omelette on top instead. 2 other guests ordered build your own omelette. They both had issues with items/side orders of sauces etc missing from their omelette. I ordered the hot honey chicken hash and stated to Kendra that I have acid reflux, so no spices anywhere at all. I was informed no problem at all. When my food came out I started eat, and the 2 eggs were COLD not even warm full on cold. I started eating the hash and after swallowing some the spices kicked in. My throat started to burn! Flagged down the server and got a remake done without spices added this time. My remake was fine the second time. My friends were almost done by the time the missing items were brought to the table for them. Overall a very disappointing experience at Stacked Pancakes on 130th Avenue. I have been to 2 different locations of Stacked before. But by far this one is the worst experience. The owner Kevin, should not answer the phone at all and stay off the restaurant floor in my opinion. Certainly wont be back to this location again and will share our negative experiences about it. read more

Food was Excellent, it had everything you could want in it, everything was cooked really well, nothing was raw. The Service was amazing, the lady working there was really nice and apologized for mistakes being made, the ambience was about as good as any other restaurant/diner just playing random pop songs other than that absolutely amazing restaurant. read more

I was not impressed. After asking if the hollandaise was made in-house, I ordered the eggs benedict. The sauce may be made in house, but it must be from a mix. The pea bacon had an odd, sweet taste. I really did not like the coffee as it tasted like a cheap brand with no depth in flavour. Overall, I would suggest a big reduction in the menu size so the chefs can concentrate on making a few things well. The service was ok and our server was pleasant and did a good job. read more

Yesterday had lunch there. Amazing avocado toast, especially with pea meal bacon. But this is just. Side note to my story! We had a major emergency when my elderly friend experienced a blockage in her windpipe which developed into a serious situation. Fortunately a trained CPR lady also lunching at the time,came forward and performed the Heimlich manoeuvre, basically saving my friends life! Thank you a million times to this unknown Good Samaritan! The restaurant manager was also present,offering to call an ambulance, but staying well out of the way while the CPR expert saved the day. Once things were under control he came back, giving this amazing lady gratis jar of jam. Kudos to the wonderful staff, and to the higher ups for choosing an outstanding manager. read more

Have been here a few times, and it's been okay. Very loud, hard to enjoy company when ya have to shout. Our recent visit much the same, and the food is just okay. My meal was I believe the Canadian skillet? anyway it was very dry, mostly the hash browns were rock hard and lacked seasoning. My wife had standard breakfast and she liked it. I am guessing mine sat on the grill just a wee bit too long. Service was great, attentive, and friendly. And the server did remove my arid dish from the bill. So come for the service, not the atmosphere. The food seems just the same as any chain diner like Denny's. Priced about the same too. I may return, but in no hurry to do so. read more

Most people would agree that you lose quality when you use delivery - you have to manage expectations. But SPBH bucks that thinking.
