Yummy! This is how a burger should taste. Stacks shares building space with a few other businesses, and is in a strip with a gas station. Plenty of parking. I'd honestly say that so far, stacks has the best burgers in Effingham. I'm still exploring - but stacks takes the cake! The menu is expansive, and there is t any seating inside. But this "hamburger stand" knows how to make a good burger. Prices are great, and service is great too. Staff are really friendly . They have special sauce that's really good too, added that to my burger and ate with my fries. Can't wait to try a milkshake from here! read more

The food is very good .But sometimes the staff is not to friendly or they won't fix a mistake on their part. We ordered 8 milk Shakes it took 90 minutes and when we got them 4 of them were all melted . We watched them make 4 it took about 20 minutes then they sat there for about 30 minutes cause the place got packed and the guy making our order stopped making them to do something else after the rush he made the rest of our order . When we said something to them they said sorry that was it the manager didn't help either. We left and had to throw them out. Don't get Shakes there go any place else. read more

Apparently the one in Rincon is so new it doesn't show up on Yelp. This was my first and last time at a Stacks. The burger was tasty enough, but it's a good thing I had the double stack, the patties are so thin, just a single would have been a joke. The fries were tasteless and the brown paper bag was filled with grease stains. They really should do something about the pricing, the double stack cheeseburger meal, came to $8.01, like the guy on tv I don't carry change, so 99 cents in change is a little much. Great to-go food! We came here from Atlanta. Just driving through and decided to stop by for lunch. We spotted this little burger joint attached to a gas station and decided to try it. There were a few people waiting and the service was good. The cashier was very friendly and gave us time to look over the menu. I chose the double melt (2 patties and cheese). It was soooo good! Just a bench to chill on while waiting for your food. I got a single cheeseburger with bacon and junior fries to go. I [almost] never eat at Burger King or McDonalds so having a fast burger place I will go to is nice. Staff is friendly, you can call orders in which is really convenient. This is NOT an eat-in place. This is a grab-n-go. They give a crazy amount of fries and they are pretty greasy. I don't think I've ever eaten more than a third of them. I like the burgers. Some people have mentioned they are a bit thin. This is true (no thinner that BK or McD though). I don't think that is all that bad though. If you are like me and fill up quick you may appreciate it AND there are larger sizes. It is a bit pricier than your typical "fast food" it tastes better though so I don't mind paying it. It's a locally owned business. Designed to be like 5 Guys which I absolutely love. Very disappointed with my recent visit this evening. No one is wearing masks. Had I not already ordered and paid I would've left. 3 teenage boys working and they were more occupied with throwing cups at each other and cussing, than taking care of the customers (there were 6 different customers in store). I paid almost $13 for a chicken finger meal that looked like a kids happy meal! Ordered 3 combos but only 1 French fry in my bag. When I asked for the others one of the guys in the kitchen wanted to argue he put 3 in the bag. 3 combos were crammed into 1 small bag so after taking everything out (even though I don't like touching other people's food), there was only 1 container of fries. He then said he was out of containers so supposedly put 3 scoops in 1 container. The food is for different people so how did he think that would work? Out of sweet tea and not making more, even at 6:30pm. Plus the food was already cold. Went to the one in Rincon. We called it in and were told 15-20 minutes. We got there 30 minutes after calling it in and still had to wait another 15 minutes. During that time, we watched three customers come back with wrong orders. Stacks is nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Their burgers are thin, flat top grilled burgers and are a little pricey for the size of the meat. If they had thicker burgers or decreased their price then they'd be something to brag about. They offer good service but that doesn't say much considering it's literally a stand. There's nowhere to sit so you only pick up here but if thats the case, i don't see a point in an option to leave a tip. Their burgers are good but taste average. Their fries are where you get the most of your money's worth in that you get a large amount regardless of the size of fries you ordered. Although they hook it up fat with the fries, they dont have much taste either. This seems like they should be the same price as fast food or cheaper since the burgers aren't much. I mean, its a burger place, not a "cup full-o-fries" place so the fries don't make up for everything. If you advertise you are a burger place, then at least have impressive burgers. They definitely are a burger place though because we got the chicken sandwich and we were told it was on texas toast. The sandwich was tiny and thin and the bread was absolutely not texas toast it was thin, lightly toasted regular sliced bread on really small chicken tenders that tasted almost exactly like 'Sonics' chicken tenders but these were more bland unfortunately. We asked for the buffalo chicken sandwich and it seemed like there was only tiny slabs of texas pete on the chicken. Not even buffalo sauce. It was more expensive than the double burger and i think the triple burger but it was smaller than the burgers an note that half of my review has said the burgers are thin. This is a nice spot to walk to if its really close to you but other than that they need more to offer to be worth what they charge. That doesn't mean add more fries lol just improve your food. Service is always good though, people are always nice but they dont have to deal with you much with it being a grab and go place so service doesn't say much here if im being honest.
