I can remember going to this place with dogs and being able to sit outside and be served. Today my out-of-town guest wanted to return home but first have breakfast. There were tables were outside, but there were no chairs. She went inside to ask, was rudely treated was told they were too busy and they would not be serving anyone outside.whether this place is good or bad for food I can't tell you, I can tell they were empty. Not my favorite place, the one in Pooler is better and a lot cleaner. We visited on a very loud, crowded Saturday around 11 am. Omelettes (western) were just ok, nothing to write home about. We noticed that the creamers were spoiled after we had put them into our coffee and it curdled. Mentioned it to the waitress after she finally noticed we were signaling to her. She brought us more from the same batch. We had to ask for new cups and coffee. She was nice but seemed stressed. I was told by my friend that this is a Mom and Pop place so when we were needing breakfast we decided to check this place out over the chain restaurant nearby. I gotta say, none of the food looks spectacular but trust me when I say it tastes much better than it looks. Hubby wasn't impressed but that's ok. We all decided to get omelettes. Grits come with the omelettes but you can exchange them for hashbrowns with a $.75 upcharge (which hubby did). You can also get the grits either on your plate (like our friend did) or in a bowl (like I did). I'm glad I got mine in a bowl because I don't like grits and am not sure what to do to them to make them taste better. But that's ok because I was too full to eat any of them anyway. The omelette also comes with a choice of bread, either wheat, white, raisin, and another variety of toast, or a bagel. I got the bagel and the guys got the raisin toast (which was the normal kind you can get at the store). I didn't get to try my bagel as I got full very quickly but I brought it home with me. It looked like a basic one though. I got the Seafood Omelette with grits because I was feeling adventurous. I really and honestly wasn't sure I'd like it but I really wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did. It tasted awesome! I highly recommend it. Our friend got the House Omelette and it was simple but good as well. Hubby got the chicken omelette but he changed his cheese to Cheddar, which I wouldn't recommend. I personally couldn't taste anything but the cheese until he broke his open and I could snag a few pieces of chicken by themselves. The chicken was tasty and seemed like it had been cooked in a sweet teriyaki sauce (which doesn't make sense for a diner but that's what it reminded me of). Hubby and I also got hot chocolates which were small but affordable. They also came with a dollop of thick, whipped cream on top that taste like it was home made more so than anything out of a can. Breakfast served all day! Score! They have an extensive breakfast menu including all the southern staples, pancakes and waffles but I've got to shout about the omelette. Incredible! I don't know how the cooks get the egg so thin, like a crepe. Wide variety of ingredients for every tastebud. My favorite is grilled shrimp and veggies. Served with the creamiest grits (they make them with whole milk). The pancakes are the size of a dinner plate and very tasty! Extensive menu of salads, sandwiches, hot plates and the biggest burgers you've ever seen. Mediocre. Toast was stale, grits were lumpy, veggie in omelete were hard and tasteless. The coffee is watered down. The cleanliness is questionable the ledge above the tile and the tile need to be cleaned as dirt is visible when sitting at table. Received breakfast for 2 people in several parts. French toast and toast for omelet came first. 10 mins later omelet arrived. No coffee refill yet. Then side of bacon arrived 10 mins after. Left there hungry as breakfast was so awful. read more

Being from out of state, maybe I just have different standards but the food just wasn't great. The service was alright, but the waitress wasn't very attentive. Empty drinks and I had to flag her down for a refill. I ordered pancakes which were thin, dense and overly sweet. When I think of a pancake, I imagine a slightly sweet, fluffy cake.. These didn't come close to that. We fiancé and I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy which were quite bland. The biscuits were hard around the edges and the gravy was pretty bland. My fiancé said his grits were okay and the prices can't be beat. They DONT serve nice fluffy meaty and cheesy omelets here..but, rather they serve thin flat egg 'sheets' cooked on a large flat griddle onto which they place a very small piece of cheese and meat cooked on the griddle next to it..and then loosely fold the ends over... VERY DISAPPOINTING INDEED!! Their biscuits and sausage gravy is even worse....instead of freshly baked biscuits and a tasty creamy gravy, here they take biscuits out of bags, "nuke" them in their microwave, and put them on a plate with way too little of a "grey" gravy which has no seasoning in it... Unfortunately, after eating here 5 or 6 times, I am going to go with a low review. You are only safe to order a burger or a breakfast. Those are really good. However, avoid the sandwiches. Grilled ham and cheese had one thin slice of ham and nasty (I believe it was fake) processed cheese. On another occasion, I ordered the BLT. It was HORRIBLE. One - two (MAYBE 2) slices crumbled bacon. ONE puny leaf of lettuce and ONE thin slice tomato. No mayo or anything on it. Sent it back, came back basically the same. Now, if you watch them make a burger, they put like 6 full slices bacon them. Why not a BLT? Anyway, the only reason I went back after that was because their omelettes are good. I've eaten here several times with family and it was always good as well as the price. However, I went in today to pick up a to go order and my usually $7 sandwich was $10.11. She told me I had to pay for my water and fries. (Which have always come with the meal) She told me the side in the drink is not included so I told her she could keep them. I have no problem paying the price for a good meal but I'm also not going to be cheated into paying 3$ more for something I know is included in the original price.
