What a nice little place! The staff was so friendly, the food came out quick, and the restaurant itself is in great shape. The food, delicious! We have been eyeballing this restaurant for years, and finally tried it one day before going in to see a movie. It was fantastic! We came in during the lunch special but opted for wings. Our server was managing a full bar and multiple tables and he did great at it and was efficient and on top of our refills. My favorite wing place recently left Beaufort and I've been looking for a honey sriracha replacement, and I think I've found it. The ranch was delicious and I think homemade. We also got the Mac and cheese (not pictured) which was fantastic and also tasted homemade. Music was great, TVs had a soccer game on which was fun to watch. hi, this is the second time in a row that I have not been impressed by my takeout. My first takeout was the half chicken where they left a full bag of steam broccoli in pan dish and the mashed potatoes seem as if they were sitting for a while and was old secondly today I ordered your brisket. Sandwich with the brisket was tough every piece just tough. Barbecue I got ketchup. The coleslaw was dry and just tasteless. Gabriela is my bartender and although the place wasn't named after her it might as well have been because she is stunning. Her eyes are out of this world and a smile that could melt the polar caps! Getting an early start before I get to the Gavone level. Been here once before and I sassed the server when she asked how hot I want my wings... I arrogantly scoffed and retorted with take me to hell! She and the chef certainly takes a challenge seriously. I think they renderd some Carolina reaper and ghost pepper to rain on my parade. I'm back for something g more reasonable. This is one of two locations well appointed for an any-say visit for a good meal at very reasonable cost. Bar, high tops, tables in and out ! TVs adorn the walls and the noise level is very low considering. They offer some merc for the traveling and the staff is smiling , accommodating, clearly they enjoy the employment. They offer national brews and a few local barley bandits brands. They keep it clean and respectable... so far it's a great spot. We ate and everything was on the mark.. they definitely deliver value with the food and experience. This is a great spot near the movie theater. We actually popped in to watch a soccer game before our movie. The bar was not playing the game but kindly put it on for us. We ordered a couple appetizers and they were all awesome. We ended up sitting at a bar top table for four. There was also bar seating and table seating. Apparently a mix up with the tickets. No problem. Things happen. What was weird is the restaurant manager/front end manager was 10 feet away from us leaning on a pole looking at an iPad scanning the room. The whole hour and a half we were there. Not sure what he was doing but it was uncomfortable. Step over and say "sorry about the mixup!" Or something. He was in the middle of the dining room. Had to flag her down to see about getting warm sauce but my partner and grand daughter had already ate half their food. Just visiting for a week but so glad we stumbled upon One Hot Mamas! We were seated right away, our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was exceptional. The restaurant is nothing fancy but decorated well for a BBQ restaurant. I thought the prices were a little high until I got my plate. The portions are huge and they did not 'skimp on the meat. The pulled pork and brisket were melt in your mouth tender and the BBQ sauce was perfect. The chicken was a little tough for my liking but very flavorful. Not bad but not the best. My dings are again, mostly for service, which it feels like has happened a lot recently. We were seated quickly but it took almost ten minutes for the waitress to come, and when she did she wanted us to do drinks, apps & entrees all at once. Maybe that's typical at this restaurant? But it felt very abrupt and almost rude. Then, three of our five drinks took ages to come (hot water, kids drink & alcoholic beverage). My Diet Coke came quick though. Now for food. We got the cornbread basket to start. For me it was way, way, way too sweet. I love a sweet cornbread but the honey was overpowering and the jalapeños barely there. I ate one piece and passed it off to the rest of the table. My entree was the South in your Mouth salad. Good portion, great dressing (ranch bbq mix), and a good amount of delicious pulled pork. First time customers and from the hostess to the server to the runners, everyone was extremely friendly and polite. Our server Hailey was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations for our family as we were indecisive over some starters. The food was hot, fresh and came relatively quick. For starters we chose the Stack a Mac and Brisket Nachos. Both were excellent and flavorful. For dinner, my kids chose the pulled pork sandwiches and they said they were great. Very large portions but nothing wrong with leftovers! My husband and I chose the sampler plates to try the different meats. All the meats were excellent. Not quite sure what all the hype is about this place. It wasn't bad, but it certainly did not "wow us". It is cute inside, but some of the staff did not seem to care about their customers. The cornbread fell apart in your fingers and was way too sweet. While the meats we enjoyed were fantastic, the sides were fried were bland and/or dry. Worst $200+ Thanksgiving take-out dinner ever! First we ordered a Fried Turkey and received an undercooked Smoked Turkey hate smoked Turkey!) without much breast meat. The side dishes were just as bad. Soggy green bean casserole (where were the onions?) cornbread stuffing was too sweet, gravy had no turkey flavor. What in the world happened with the cranberry orange relish? It was a red liquid with floating mandarin oranges. Thank goodness I had a can of cranberry sauce on hand! Very laid-back, family friendly restaurant. Besides the pulled pork, the food was just...disappointing. My chicken was flavorful and crispy but undercooked. My 12-year-old son suggested that we stop at an amazing restaurant that serves great wings. One Hot Mama's is located in a nice shopping area with a movie theater and other small businesses. The hostess was adorable and really nice. She sat us immediately after another couple that walked in before us. Our waiter Jay was very polite and very knowledgeable of the menu items. The restaurant is family friendly with a lot of TVs with various sporting games. Let's talk about the food. I ordered the Salmon with two flavors on the side that were amazing. Lord the baked beans were flavorful. My son said the wings were flavorful and perfect temperature. Now this restaurant is know for its BBQ and my daughter ordered the Pull Pork Sandwich. The sandwich was packed with meat. I did get to taste it without sauce and it melted in my mouth. It was soooo good. Did I mentioned that several items on the menu are award winning items. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the awards on the wall. I was mad because I accidentally left my to go order of Banana Pudding. In which I called back and spoke with the manager, and I was refunded the money since I did not receive the dessert. My experience this server was horrible, she came and took my wife and I order then sat down and started Eating. The vibe is a bit of a noisy sports bar. Even on an off day for sports (college women's softball was on) the bar area was hopping. The hostess team at the front didn't even seem to notice me as I came in. Not having been there I wasn't sure where things were. Best spot we've had in Hilton Head so far. Great food, great outdoor seating. Seemed to be a bit slow on the serving side, but everyone is understaffed right now. Really relaxed vibe throughout the whole place, hometown barbecue feel. Outdoor bar is great for their happy hours. Happy hour deals are great, you can get the sliders (which we got) for $6 per meal. Two sliders and French fries included. BBQ nachos were awesome as well, tons of ingredients, good chip to ingredient ratio, and lots of flavor in the pork. During the pandemic I'm trying to only eat at restaurants offering outdoor dining when I dine out. While on one of my common visits to the area, my buddy suggested we try this place. It was a Friday night, but wasn't too busy. I saw the bar area from outside & it looked full. We sat outside and they had a guy playing a guitar & singing. He was actually pretty good. Our server, Litzy checked on us often and was very helpful. I had the beef brisket dinner $18.79 which I knew was way too much food, but didn't mind taking it home! The brisket was delicious and I loved the honey jalapeno cornbread - never had any this good! The food at this location is great! We have never had an issue with what we have ordered here! Just like the Hilton head Location, it's outstanding. The service is almost as good. The big thing that has plagued us the couple of times that we have Dined at this location is food availability. We have eaten twice and they have not had our favorite chocolate ribs! Also, they have had issues not having all the beers on the menu and Sides available. My daughter ordered fresh fruit that they were out of. The waitress had to constantly check with the kitchen and bar to see what they were out of. I can not recommend this location over Hilton Head. But that being said its still outstanding food and I would not hesitate to come back here if I was not able to go to the other location, but it's worth the drive. The stack a Mac was good... cole sale and brisket on top of a fried mac n cheese ball w melted cheese. So so good I had the lunch special 2 brisket sliders and Cobb Salad. Brisket had a lot of grizzle on it but was good when removed and with bbq sauce. The Cobb salad was tasty w balsamic dressing. My bf had wings... Ranchenero and Devil. The Ranchenero had a decent flavor, super spicy. The devil wasn't edible. I laughed so hard when my bf ate it. He couldn't finish past one bite. But honestly, in my opinion, the flavor isn't good.
