I have a problem. I really like greeting cards. I enjoy giving them (to those who appreciate them). I enjoy getting them (well, with a heartfelt message on it). This particular Stacy's Hallmark Shop is my go-to location for greeting cards and often other fun items which make great gifts. Unfortunately my wife and her family aren't into greeting cards, but I still make trips every month or two to this Hallmark shop. I typically have Crown Rewards coupons before I even step foot in the store. I enjoy getting a free Just Because card each month and then I think of which occasions I need a card for. A birthday. A wedding. A new baby. A thank you. A congratulations. A holiday. An anything. When you first enter the store, there are gifts immediately to your left and right. The register is in the middle of the store, and the cards on the back half of the store. Clearance items are immediately to your right against the wall. Fancy cards are in the middle aisle across from the Just Because cards. The staff are also helpful when you ask them a question. If you need a mailbox, there is one just outside the front doors. Also, when you make a purchase, you are always asked if you want gold seals for free on your way out. They also sometimes have physical coupons they give you for your next order even if you don't have a Crown Rewards account. Today, I received a "Big Heart, Sweet Perks" coupon of $5 off a $20 purchase starting in a week for the rest of February and March. The coupon can also be used online. If you join Crown Rewards, you can earn points on every order, get rewards to save on orders, get free shipping on $30+ and my favorite part of Crown Rewards: occasional reward or bonus dollars, buy one get one free cards, and free monthly cards. I have learned that sometimes the bonuses and rewards do not work well in-store (especially at this particular Hallmark shop) though they often work well together online. I enjoy using the app, which I only learned about recently. Instead of printing up the coupons or showing each one individually from an e-mail, you can access them all in one place on the app, and some coupons even take place automatically without you even realizing (often the bonus points). read more

Stacy's Hallmark Shop - State 48 display - Cards & Stationery Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

One of the worst customer service experiences at this store. Associates were doing nothing and just hanging around but refused to direct us to the cards that we were looking for and then in a condescending way they are saying it's right there. We don't live at the store so not sure how are we supposed to know where the cards are kept. Found that rather humiliating. Wanted to buy more cards but this was bad enough to pick up what i needed and leave. read more

Unlike some of these reviews I actually stopped here not knowing what to expect since I carry a huge purse that I seriously haven't taken the time to clean out yet from a trip . Upon entry the cashier who appear to have been the owner or a manager, spoke as I walked straight to the cards. In no way did they make me feel uncomfortable while doing and browsing the store. There was a new employee who had just started working here in which she was really nice and she watched me as I browsed items close to the checkout but, in my mind, she only watched to see when I was ready to check out idk I used to love Hallmark stores to browse, but this location was a smaller version and didn't have interesting knick knacks that you can't find anywhere else, but they had things that were pretty average and that you could find pretty much anywhere. I often think that stores such as these would have interesting items ( gifts) but things changed. Don't get me wrong, as they still have cute things but nothing spectacular is all. I liked the blankets though. The location is easy to locate and there's tons of parking surrounding the strip mall of it's location. If I needed a fast gift, I'd stop again but maybe not carry a huge bag next time. ‍ I did notice that the receipt stated KARENS HALLMARK with the same address but on yelp it's showing Stacy's... perhaps Karen sold to Stacy. read more

Called to ask about some dept 56 stuff. Girl seemed irritated just that I asked, and told me they don't sell it, but arrowhead does. Which is totally fine! Nbd at all. I let her know that The Dept 56 website lists them as an official retailer, so they could get themselves removed. Girl acted like she didn't believe me and snarkily repeated with attitude that it was a location in arrowhead and not them. Look up our zip code. You're on there. Took a screenshot for proof. Sorry I tried to help! And you guys wonder why people buy gifts online for black friday. read more

Stacy's Hallmark Shop - So they can get it fixed :). They don't sell Dept 56, and seemed pissed when I let them know they're on the retailer list - Cards & Stationery Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Um, they have shoes here! So one would think that the majority of items in this store would be some form of a greeting card, but you would be wrong. This place has hundreds of little knick-knacks that entice you to forget about the "hey, sorry I missed your birthday, but I was too lazy last week to pickup and mail a card out to you" card that you need to send to your friend. This store has, like I mentioned previously, shoes, purses, mugs, wine coozies, dog accessories, jewelry, and much much more. The store also has a little section where you can personalized stationary and/or announcement with a rather large selection of options. They also have helium balloons here and some pretty awesome and unique wrapping paper, gift bags, and tissue paper that would be a nice accompaniment to your card that you probably forgot about. Since the Stacy's by me moved, I only go when I'm in the neighborhood. I had a few coupons and one mailer for a free gift if I spent $50.I spent $50 and the salesperson took off the coupons first and then said I didn't have enough for the free gift. I said just do that one first-she said we can't-even though salespeople there have done it before in the past. I can get cards at the grocery store and I found the other stuff on-line for cheaper. So, I voted with my feet and didn't buy anything. I don't know if I will go back. read more

I love Hallmark stores and normally spend a lot of money on cards for everyone, even picking up little gifts. I have to say, this is the first time that I've ever had such a disappointing experience with a Hallmark store and I don't believe I will be returning. It started when I walked into the store on 4/22/14 at around 12:45p. A store employee (middle-aged, blond woman), was busy re-stocking and turned to see me come in. She didn't greet me, didn't smile. She turned her back and went right back to what she was doing. I thought to myself, "ok, maybe she's just caught up in her work.." I stay in the store for about 20-25 minutes picking out birthday cards and bring them up to the front. There wasn't anyone available for a couple of minutes and then the same store employee approaches the cash register, doesn't greet me, doesn't look at me, doesn't apologize for the wait and just takes my cards and starts ringing them up, but not before she stood there for a few seconds watching me adjust each card for her so that the UPC code on the back was visible for her to scan easily. Again, stoic face..and not even a thank you. She rings me up, asks if I'm a Hallmark member (which I am) but didn't have my card. She looks it up for me, verifies my name and completes the transaction. There was no smile, no warmth, or friendliness...more of a scowl. She just hands me my bag and quietly says "Thanks, have a nice day.." as she walks away from the register. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she was having a bad day, maybe there were personal issues I wasn't aware of....And I'm sorry if that was the case. But it was pretty disheartening to have this experience at a Hallmark where customer service is normally exceptional. And if this was "Stacy" of "Stacy's Hallmark" that I encountered, I hope this review helps change things or that you become more aware of how important customer service is and how first impressions really make a statement (things that are pretty important when trying to run a small business). I can choose to shop anywhere, and on that day I chose Stacy's Hallmark. I don't think I'll be making that choice again. Thank you and good luck. read more
