Kids are mean, teachers only care about the kids who HAVE a future in dance and have been with them for a long time. I understand in dance there are "Clicks" and all, but teachers should NOT be apart of them. Please, I encourage you, if you would like to put your child in dance, DO NOT COME HERE! She hasn't looked back since her first class! Ms. Anna (her instructor) is so patient but firm, a great combo for four- and five-year-olds. They've learned super cute choreography for the upcoming recital, so the littles can feel just as accomplished as their older counterparts. And not only that, but the studio is incredibly body-positive. I'm a large woman myself, and Sarah, the owner, encouraged me to try lyrical or ballet with my color guard and winter guard background. I've only been going a few weeks, but Danielle (the instructor) and other students are phenomenal, supportive, and encouraging in my own journey of dance. The last part that I am grateful for is that the prices are not outrageous, and when there's a change Sarah is quick to communicate with parents. Other local studios charge insane fees, even for their classes and students who are not a part of the competitive teams - but RMDC doesn't do that, and for that I'm grateful. It makes dance more accessible to everyone financially as well as physically. Super grateful Sarah and her team decided to make Stafford home! We love them!

All the instructors are great but I want to shout out our instructor, Jason. He is extremely patient, gives honest feedback, and is encouraging. When you can't dance it is similar to public speaking, when you get nervous you feel almost sick, and the embarrassment can be overwhelming, but I've never felt that while learning. Sometimes there are other people there waiting to start their lessons so they're watching, but it doesn't matter, you get lost in the learning and it's soooo much fun. This is an amazing dance studio, but here's a word to the wise if you don't practice you won't get better. There's only so much a few lessons a month can do. Get the best out of your money and take those lessons out for a spin (literally, we spin a lot). Wear comfy shoes and don't waste anymore time, this is the place to learn.

I hadn't danced in a while so this class was good as a refresher If you are absolutely new to dance, the class might have been harder to follow. I found DivaDance in a random Google search of dance classes in the area, and my expectations have been absolutely surpassed in every sense. DivaDance is such a wonderful community, and every class is such a comfortable and judgement free zone (which is important when you are throwing it down and shamelessly trying new moves & choreo). DivaDance has been amazing for my work-life balance, and for pushing my homebody self to step away from my computer, get moving / trick my body into exercising, and meet new people!! As a side note, DivaDance classes always feature really amazing & wonderful women, as a woman in STEM I don't see a small number in my daily life, so dance has always been my favorite way to meet more diverse sets of people, and DivaDance has certainly been a great source of this in my life since they value empowerment and confidence.

I got the 7:50pm cause the time posted was 8pm class, but apparently it would start at 8:30pm. People did their own "stretching". As soon as the class started the with choreographer begin with his first step. He gave a good class but not the usual type of classes I attend to in the Philippines. They usually start with an intro about the piece and what to focus on when doing the class which eventually came up during my class here. The technique and choreography is good. :)

The…read moreclass that runs in the morning takes over all but one lane in the pool before the class is even scheduled to start. They will not use less lanes even if only 5 people show up. Also, if you are disabled, there is one bathroom in the pool area that is designed properly but it is frequently used by non disabled people who leave it gross and dirty. The ladies bathroom has a shower with handles but the bench is too big for the shower and is used by patrons to rest their belongings while in the sauna. Also, non disabled patrons use it when regular showers are open (probably because they like to put their gym bag on the bench chair) leaving people with movement issues to either have to wait or risk a fall by using the regular showers.
