Why have a business if you don't want to run it? I called Saturday and they told me they were closing soon but they will reopen on Monday at 10AM. I drove over an hour from Orange County on Monday morning excited to see their offerings. When I got there they were closed. I called 3x and texted and no reply. After waiting 20 minutes, I left since I had no idea if they'd open at all. Then when I got home, I saw they wrote back saying they're open now and was running late. What happened between Saturday and Monday to be a no show when opening? Gas is $5.10/gallon now and they wasted my time and money. Oh and this isn't the first time they pulled this. So glad I found this place . Found them on google , went right before closing on the weekend to get leotards and tutus for my daughters first ballet class . The pricing for the leotards are very reasonable , the tutus were about 8$ each and the ballet shoes were 20$. The 4 stars is because the store is very unorganized . Very few items are separated by size. I shifted through different boxes of leotards trying to find my daughters size . The things in boxes don't have price tags so you have to ask the price every time you find something . I have been coming to Danny's Warehouse back when he was located in Culver City. I don't want you to think that this is going to be a quick "dash in, dash out" trip. You will need a considerable amount of time, because you literally have to dig and sometimes dig deep, to find items. Dance apparel is organized in boxes by colors, the items, size. There are aisle of boxes galore from floor to ceiling. And yes, you may find items that are displaced and/or dirty, but remember the key word I shared with you: "WAREHOUSE"?! So yep, some things will dirty and you won't find everything you are looking for. I come up on the dance shoes. Jazz shoes and ballet shoes can be quite expensive at dance stores, but at Danny's, you can find some for $10 or less. But it's not all of the time I will find my size. So if you're up for a "digging adventure", you will find Danny's Warehouse to be a good resource for dance, gym, and costume apparel. read more

"Why did I pay $18.00 for tights when I could've have gotten them here for $2.00?" That's the first thought of many dancers visiting Danny's for the first time. At Danny's, you'll find leotards under $10.00, ballet skirts under $5.00 and, if you're lucky, ballet shoes in your size also under $10.00. The warehouse is huge, with items separated by color and thrown into huge boxes. In this sense, it's an organized mess. Along with ballet wear, you'll find jazz attire, some ballroom stuff, and a ton of cheer gear. This is a real warehouse, so I did get a sense that I was shopping amongst cockroaches. Also, there is a no return policy, which means you should try on your items before purchase. It's often hit or miss here, and I've had much better luck with Discount Dance. All that said, if the price difference were negligible, I would give less stars bc of the quality and the chaos. But for high school students and others dancing on a budget, why buy a $35.00 leotard when you can more than likely find a decent one here for $5.00? Great deals. read more

1 day before Halloween and I was in desperate need of a royal blue tutu for my daughter cookie monster costume. Wow, what a mess! I wish some genius had chosen to sort the leotards by size rather than color! It's quite a headache to dig for a size small only to find that you're not a size small because leotards were made to destroy women's self-esteem and then have to go back and dig for a medium or a larger small! (Apparently, there is smaller and not-so-small, both marked S). The costumes are all pretty retro - only browse if you're in the mood to dig, have way too much spare time, or know how to tailor because everything is just thrown onto a rack. I am officially obsessed with this place. My dance shoes were all on their last limb and I needed new ones, but wasn't looking to spend a ton of money right now. I went in and the woman at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming and immediately started to help me out! Their jazz shoes and ballet shoes are all pretty organized and you just tell them your size and they can get them quickly. I also needed new character shoes and character tap shoes, but those were a little harder to find. Those are all in bins and not organized by any size, brand, or color, but if you take the time to sift through, you will find amazing stuff. They have top brands and their all brand new! I never thought I'd be buying brand new capezio character tap shoes for $10! So all in all, I went in and came out with brand new jazz shoes, ballet shoes, character shoes, and character tap shoes for $40. I'd say that's a win! I'm a fan because I bought my ballet slippers, my leotard, and tights for 25 dollars. You really cannot beat that. People have questioned the customer service. I have no complaints. As soon as I walked in, Danny (I presume) asked if I needed any help. He pointed me towards the back-the warehouse. If you need a leotard, they come in all shades of green, blue, purple, pink, fushia, white, black, black with a coloured stitching...its there but you do have to literally DIG for it, lol. NO lies, dig. And the items aren't individually wrapped in their packaging, (although you'll find a few) they're piled in boxes. If you need ballet shoes/slippers, they're behind the counter as you walk in, at the moment I believe they only have pink split soles. Another woman helped me with the tights. 3 dollar tights, I mean c'mon ! This place is a steal. What it lacks in organization, it makes up for it in price. I went to Danny's Warehouse yesterday to find my Halloween costume. Although it can be very tedious and time consuming to dig through all of the boxes of dance attire, you can find anything here. SO MANY TUTUS!! Having been a dancer growing up, I recall my mom spending A LOT of money on clothes, shoes, costumes, etc. Danny's has all of this and for SO cheap! You may feel like you are entering utter chaos when you go into the back room, but they do their best to keep items grouped by item, color, and size. We purchased way over $100.00 worth of dance gear for about $50.00. The great bargain was worth the REALLY BAD customer service. BAD Customer Service: 1.) The staff will tail you in case you decide to shoplift. Sort of embarrassing. 2.) They don't even bother to thank you for your business. 3.) When you walk in, they ask you what you're looking for and proceed to tell you what they don't have. I tried! I tried! I TRIED! I went down there with a happy heart in an effort to find a long-sleeved leotard and or unitard for my daughter and the rest of our praise team before I sent the other parents (basically, I wanted to check it out first)... I was not built for that place! For a lot of the items, $10.00 is too much. If you are looking for leotards for toddlers, it's your place. If you're looking for long or short-sleeved leotards for teens or adults FORGET ABOUT IT! If you're looking for unitards for teens or adults, FORGET ABOUT IT! All of the leotards are tossed in boxes by color (waaaaay in the back of the warehouse-style) and a lot of them are dirty/stained. It was a complete waste of my time. There was one guy who led me to the leotards when I first came in, and then *poof* he was gone. I heard voices of other employees while I was on my expedition, but at no point did anyone else offer to assist me, not even when I was leaving out empty handed. At least ask if I found everything I was looking for. All in all, if you enjoy dumpster diving, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Personally, I would rather learn how to make a long-sleeved leotard by myself than to EVER go back there again. read more

Danny's Dance Warehouse is a great resource. As it's name suggests, it's not a "normal" dance shop, it's a clearance warehouse with rotating stock. So, it you know what you're looking for, they may have it one month, and not the next. They may have all tiny sizes, or big ones, or plenty of Medium. It's a toss up. Very often you can call to get a general sense if they might have a specific item you're looking for- but for the most part, you simply have to go there, and find out for yourself. It's an adventure! If you're not up for a treasure hunt through boxes and racks and piles this store is not the one for you. If you're willing to do some digging, you'll be rewarded with very low prices. Everything is $10 or less! My very favorite leotard was found here, and it would normally have cost upwards of $60. I paid $10! read more

Dance store heaven... its like the costco for dancewear! 10 bucks or less for ANYTHING! leotards (of all brands, sizes and boxes of each color), tights for 3 bucks, costumes, skirts, shoes etc. You need at least an hour to sift through everything, but I love this place. This store is a great resource for LA dancers, skaters and gymnasts. I just rushed over after school because on Yelp it says the store hours are until 4:30 weekdays, but on the door it says they are open until 5. So if the owner reads this review, please submit the correct time on Yelp as I think you will get more shoppers. We picked up a pair of tap shoes and were out the door within 20 minutes. The damage? $10.90. Amazing. I take off one star only because the atmosphere is a little haphazard and will drive a fastidious person crazy. It's fine for me though. read more

First off, I wouldn't call myself a dancer...but my dance teachers do. Ok, since I knew what to expect when I got to Danny's, I wasn't thrown off by it all (thanks a ton, Yelpers!). It's a little chaotic, but the prices are really worth it. The only downside, is that being in there made me want to have babies =? I'm serious!! All those little shoes and leotards! ugh! They were so cute!! (and soooo cheap!!) My experience there was good, but not great for the following reasons: (+) Prices were ridiculously low. I'm talking $1 sections! (+) The place is HUGE and packed floor to ceiling (+/-) There is only loose organization. The people who work there can point you to the right box in the warehouse, but you have to do the treasure hunt from there. (+) The employees are very friendly and helpful. They apologized for not having sasquatch shoes (for my big a** feet), but told me I could periodically call to see if they have my size and style. I definitely don't have a dancer body, so I didn't find my size in anything (hence 3 stars instead of 4). But this place should be the first stop for moms and ballerina-sized dancers. Seriously, 2 other (petite) women came in and pretty much grabbed what they needed right off the top of the box, and it was in their size. This is a great place for parents to buy dance wear for kids, since they have lots of small sizes, potential outfits for dance shows, and lots of dance shoes in kids sizes. I would have saved sooo much money if I new about this place in my younger years! Everything here is $10 or less!!! I went here on Saturday only to realize it was closed. Boo ... Who closes on a Saturday?! Anyways, I went back on Sunday in hopes of finding some cool stuff. Cool stuff including ... a tutu (for me to wear during the day at work), neat-o tights, jazz shoes (for everyday use), and some dance shorts for S Factor. I was excited because everything here is $10 or less but of course there is a catch There is always a catch. The catch is, this place is a freaking DUMP. Its a MESS. Its like beyond a mess.
