I'm leaving this review to share a balanced but honest account of my experience. While the end…read moreresult of the project was acceptable, the process was far more complicated and frustrating than it needed to be. The sales interaction set the tone with high‑pressure tactics, including statements like "this price is only available today." We moved forward anyway because we knew we wanted the work done. When I later asked to adjust the scope, the salesperson resisted for nearly ten minutes before agreeing to send a revised contract. The first crew delivered solid work on the drain line and concrete, but the vapor barrier installation was sloppy--uneven trimming, gaps, and inconsistent application. They also removed a board supporting the incoming water line without explanation, leaving it hanging from a wire and damaging the clamp. Their initial attempt to "fix" it involved taping the board to a pipe, which was not a proper or safe solution. The sump pump outlet was also installed in a way that caused the discharge pipe to partially block it, putting pressure on the plug. Communication was another major issue. I was never given a dedicated point of contact. I had to reach out to the salesperson again just to report problems. He forwarded my concerns to the office, and I was eventually contacted by Christal. She was professional and genuinely helpful, but her phone number repeatedly showed as disconnected, and only some text messages went through. I had to call the main line each time and ask to be routed to her. A week later, two crews returned and corrected the vapor barrier, repaired the board, and moved the outlet so it was no longer obstructed. The final work met expectations, but the overall experience involved unnecessary sales pressure, communication challenges, and multiple days off work for corrections and inspections.

The salesman invited himself inside to go over a lengthy PowerPoint presentation, asked if my husband was home so I could run things by him (because we all know women can't make decisions), and when we finally got the estimate, we were pressured to make a decision on the spot for the "best deal." Honestly, if he hadn't explained so much, we might considered signing but he talked us out of the job by saying how much could go wrong.

After getting a number of estimates, we contracted with Salzano to replace our old brick patio with…read morea new flagstone patio on a concrete foundation. Their price was competitive, and their work was outstanding. After removing the old brick and leveling the ground, they poured the concrete foundation, making sure that the slope was away from our house. Then, a few days later, when the concrete had set, they cut and mortared in the flagstones. CJ Salzano was our main point of contact, and he was always very responsive. The 2 crews that did the actual concrete and masonry work were very friendly, and were very respectful of our property. (When they left, you honestly didn't even know that they had been there.) And of course, the work looks great. We would recommend Salzano to anyone.

There are control joints in place are where it is hoped that the inevitable cracks will happen, unfortunately the cracks in our driveway occurred outside of the control joints. The owner of Salzano's came out to see the cracks and treated them with a product that will hopefully keep them from getting more noticeable. The previous asphalt driveway was probably not even aesthetically pleasing when brand new. The concrete and brick edging from Salzano's is a tremendous improvement still after four years. I just wished the concrete and Mother Nature worked together to have the cracks happen inside the control joints.
