My wife & I both had the burger & fries meal. The servings were huge & the service was impeccable. Someone mentioned in another review that the hamburger tasted different than USA burgers. We concur. It's a little off the beaten path; just far enough from the crowds of tourists and up a hill to get a sense of quiet and solitude and offer great views, but easily accessible to the Main Street in town with just three minutes' walking. There is a surprisingly spacious parking lot out front given the tightness of the region. Our room was spacious, clean, with lots of storage space and a mini bar and fridge. There was also a bench and table with two chairs directly outside of our room to enjoy the view. The restaurant downstairs is excellent as well. Picture a Swiss chalet in the mountains and this is probably what you're imagining. Wood trim, fire place in the corner, giant cowbells on the walls, etc. the breakfast included was an excellent spread of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, etc. We loved it and would recommend this to anyone staying in Grindelwald!

We ordered the two fondue pots for four people, but in hindsight, it was more than enough. Both fondues were very good; however, I prefer the champagne option as it was slightly less salty. I would still recommend both these options and thought the fondue was excellent. The texture and consistency was very smooth and did not feel too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience here. The one note that I will make about the place is that it was a little on the pricier side, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant of you are in Thun for the day.

From the months leading up to our stay to our initial steps into Grindlewald from the train station they thought of every way possible to make our stay extraordinary. We were there from Christmas Eve through the 30th and had the most magical Christmas. They brought a mini Christmas tree up to our room upon request so we could have an authentic Christmas morning with our kids. Staff reached out months prior to find out our son's names and then Father Christmas himself handed out personalized gifts to every child using their full names at a Christmas gathering. Even for the adults was a once in a lifetime experience. Skiing from this hotel location is a Breeze. Couldn't be a better location. The views are incredible. The pool table was one of the huge highlights of our stay. Food is amazing. Breakfast easy and divine. Can't say enough. You meet the owners and their family. You feel the love and care they put into the place. We've told everyone it's a place you must visit!
