    King sized bed

For a little over $200 a night (plus $20 / night parking), stayed here for a couple days; the entry to the parking garage was closed due to some maintenance around that area, so go through the Hertz entry around the corner. During the weekend, very busy parking (had to go all the way to the top) due to a convention in the building. Parking slip from the lobby desk. Convenient location to the businesses and train station in Stamford. Plenty of conference space. Slow parking deck elevator; I used the stairs and made it down before anyone on the elevator could. 15 stories of rooms. Staff was friendly and checked in quickly. The hotel itself feels a bit older; older carpets, older elevators, scrapes and dings and dust behind the desk and bed that are pretty thick don't lend it much help. They didn't have our main room trash can emptied from the prior tenants before we entered (we called and someone came to clean it out), and though we booked for 3 occupants, they had only 2 towels in the room. Hm, not exactly prepared there, but at least it didn't take long to get another set of towels. Outlets were loose; a few didn't provide current right without wiggling and the one by the desk was loose from the wall. Only one side of the King-sized bed has outlets; the other just has a light and outlet was behind the headboard, rendering it useless if you had someone that wanted to charge on that side. The bathroom has a sink inside, sliding door was sticky and hard to open. The double shower head was nice, though (the rain version at the top was helpful for washing hair). Standard TV, hair dryer, iron, laundry bag, mini-fridge (empty), coffee maker. Wifi for members was ok; the wireless signal throughout the building was good. As of Monday May 2nd 2022, the pool was permanently closed, so if you're looking for that, you'll be out of luck. Overall, had better Marriott experiences. This place is overdue for a renovation. Would do well with hardwood/fake wood floors and a cleanup of the lighting and colors.

Very clean hotel in downtown Stamford. Attached parking garage and close to all the things in the area are close by.

First we are reward members of Marriott. We were given our room, and upon entering we noticed that he bed wasn't maid, the curtains/blinds were broken and the closet door was broken and off its hinges. Called downstairs and asked if they could change the bedding as we were only there one night. They could not because the cleaning staff had left for the day. The front desk person said all they could do was move us. We were NOT HAPPY at all about this, but moved down the hall. We were downgraded, but not refunded and $$. This section clearly had not been remodeled (or deep cleaned for a long time). Our shower had a huge water spot which was black (hopefully no mold), and the room and amenities were very worn. The fridge did not work, and we had to have it replaced. I let the front desk person know and he said he would have the hotel manager call me first thing tomorrow or Monday at the latest. That was 3 weeks ago. Their breakfast was good, but the hotel rooms really should be inspected before you assign someone to them. And if you promise a call to discuss a partial refund, or issues we had, you should call.

Stamford, Connecticut. I am surprised this hotel does not get better reviews. It is a nice hotel, well apportioned, nice size rooms, clean, and has excellent staff. There is an okay restaurant and nice lounge on site. The workout room is well equipped and for those who qualify the Concierge Lounge offers free food and free adult beverages in a nicely decorated space. See photos.

Dump and a half! Dated, poor service, room assigned behind elevator shaft and pool closed without any communication.

Nikki, Charlotte, and their team flawlessly planned and executed our 100+ person wedding in Connecticut and transformed our backyard and home into a beautiful, professional venue. During the planning process, our coordinators maintained transparent communication with us and were extremely responsive to our ongoing questions, concerns, and changes. They helped organize with our other vendors (DJ, photographer, etc.), and provided meaningful advice and guidelines every step of the way - from selecting our menu to choosing venue décor and even providing advice as to how to word our invitations. On the day of our wedding, those same coordinators ensured that the event proceeded smoothly, monitoring the timeline, flow, and jumping in where needed. For example: when we arrived home from the ceremony, we were immediately met by Nikki's staff who had specifically prepared appetizers and drinks for the wedding party to enjoy (and to replenish!) before making our big introduction to the rest of the wedding guests. Many of our guests raved about the food being among the best they have had at a wedding. This is by far where Nikki Glekas Events stands head and shoulders above other event planners / caterers - her food is simply excellent. To successfully plate 100+ meals outside in Connecticut during October, to keep them HOT, and to maintain quality is no small feat. Nikki's team executed this with ease. We were so thrilled with the process and outcome for our wedding that we hired Nikki's team for our baby shower - which once again was an absolute home run. To Nikki, Charlotte, and the entire staff at NGE, thank you so very much for your tireless work and your impeccable attention to detail. We look forward to working with you again for our future celebrations.

After doing a little research, I came across The Wheel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Finding the entrance was a little confusing at first, and parking took a minute to figure out, but I eventually learned you can park for free at the Village next door, which made things much easier. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and shown to the outdoor seating area. Walking through the restaurant, I was impressed by how beautiful the property is. It is incredibly spacious, sits right on the water, and even has an additional outdoor area next door where you can relax away from the restaurant. The views alone make this place worth visiting. Our server, Freddy, was fantastic. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. Now onto the food. To start, we shared the Breakfast Pizza, topped with smoked bacon, crispy potatoes, roasted garlic, mozzarella, two eggs, and fresh cracked black pepper. It was a fun twist on brunch and had great flavor. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with cheddar grits, wild caught shrimp, a poached egg, and chimichurri. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich looked outstanding. Made with organic Murray's chicken, hot honey, coleslaw, and dill pickles, it came with fries and disappeared quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled hanger steak, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chimichurri. The steak had excellent flavor, although I ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It was my only real issue with the meal. We also tried a couple of cocktails. The Orange Crush was refreshing and perfect for brunch, while the bourbon, Aperol, peach, Earl Grey, and lemon cocktail was smooth, balanced, and equally enjoyable. Dessert was the perfect ending. The Take 5 Sundae with peanut butter crunch, pretzels, whipped cream, vanilla bean caramel, chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge was absolutely delicious. We also had the Tres Leches, topped with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream, which was light, moist, and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious. Aside from the slightly confusing entrance, parking, and my overcooked steak, the entire experience was outstanding. The waterfront setting, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and quality food make this one of the best brunch spots in Stamford. I will definitely be back. Next time I already have my eye on the Banana Buttermilk Bread, Village Breakfast, Braised Short Rib Hash, Wheel House Burger, Margherita Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for myself. For drinks, I want to try the Charred Citrus, One in a Melon, and the Orange Crush. And I definitely need to save room for the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Favorite dish selections per voting of the table, were the brussel sprouts (~$20), calamari (~$20), and NY strip (~$50) specifically because of the tallow fried rice that laid underneath the steak! Although we enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, the service was quite slow. Our waitstaff didn't come by very often to take drink orders, refill water glasses, or follow up. It didn't seem too busy that evening, so we were a bit surprised. We stayed in the dining room on this trip, but hope to come back for a nice evening when the outside patio area is available.

Maureen, Steve and Sarah are extremely helpful and made our arrival and stay pleasant. Our investment firm needed space for 2 to 3 months prior to moving into full-time real estate in downtown Stamford. Serendipity ended up being a great fit for that time period. Pros: 1. Immediate Move In - You can speak with Maureen and then bring in your laptop same day 2. Clean & Comfortable Space - Solid design, good furniture, and great conference rooms with solid flat screen TV's for projection. 3. Client First Mindset - Maureen, Steve and Sarah who run the location really do put the tenants needs first. They were flexible on several locations. Some small but important examples (needed documents printed quickly, needed temporary access for candidates to be interviewed, needed flexibility on our move out date) 4. Nice Kitchen - There is coffee, snacks (for purchase) and a large refrigerator. 5. More Professional Than We Works - I've been to several of the We Works in New York and some feel like a party. They're more of a fit for people right out of college. Con's (Mostly Minor): 1. Printing - The setup for printing was a challenge if you have a Mac computer 2. Access Door - The one access door between the two sections of the building didn't work very well. Steve and team spent a lot of time trying to fix it but it was a challenge for two months we were there. 3. Smells In Small Rooms - For some reason the small rooms can smell pretty bad (possibly the carpeting) and it seems to change day to day. Overall very positive experience. If you need something quick with people who will be your advocate to make it work Serendipity Labs is a good bet. I plan on using the location that is being built in the city I am moving to.
