We were in line for about 40 minutes, and when we left the line was wrapping around outside! I asked the cashier what they did to advertise and they said that they haven't! It was just locals coming out and supporting their community! Their cider donuts are UNREAL- probably the best cider donut I have ever had. My husband raved about their coffee and the cider was equally delicious! The staff did a great job handling all of the foot traffic! Ever since moving to RI, I have been to Farm Fresh Providence Farmers Market multiple times. The prices are a bit more than a local supermarket, but I still enjoy checking out the local farms produce and items. There is something for everyone-honey, kimchi, and so much more. The most recent time I went, there were even alpacas that you can pet. At Farm Fresh RI Market Hall, there are also some other local businesses that you can check out. Some are Anchor Toffee, New Harvest Coffee Roasters, Providence Brewing Company, Rhed's Hot Sauce, Tallulah's Taqueria, and Wright's Creamery. Also, there are usually food trucks outside. But then I discovered this little gem! This is a smaller market, but I find this to be less overwhelming then the larger ones. There were a lot of farms I was unfamiliar with and they were all very friendly and had plenty of variety to choose from. The prices here are in most cases almost 50% cheaper then what I've seen at Hope St. We walked away with some delicious and sweet corn that was only 35¢ an ear, patty pan squash for 50¢ each, pint of cherry tomatoes for $1.50 . . . you get the idea. We had a fantastic dinner when we got home! So mad at myself for not finding this market sooner, it will certainly make it's way into my weekly shopping routine.

I would rather take my business elsewhere where I can shop in peace and enjoy family time. If they're going to be this unhappy and rude, don't work at a farm. Simple. Across the street is a picturesque white clapboard historic church, and a cozy library. This all makes for a lovely setting for the Scituate Rotary Farmers Market. Each Saturday from 9-12 you can shop from not only local fruit, vegetable, and meat farmers, but you can also purchase handmade foraged art photo prints, goat milk soap, a variety of crocheted items, plants, flowers, and so much more. There is often live music, baked goods to savor, and sometimes food trucks. This is the perfect Saturday morning place, and you can also stroll through the lovely shops and cafes of North Scituate after perusing the farmer's market. You can build a scarecrow- they offer clothes or you can bring your own. The price was really good. And the experience was even better. You sit in all the hay- you're given instructions on how to build him/her and then you make memories. Once you are all done, an employee puts your scarecrow together for you. And then you can draw the face. It's exactly the same process from when I was little and It brought back so many memories. They also have a small farm in the back . You pay for food and then you can see the chickens the horse, the goats and a few other animals. Also, during the weekend you can do pumpkin picking and go on a hayride. If you haven't been here, this is for sure a hidden jam that's been around for an extremely long time. My niece enjoyed her time and our scarecrow is so cute.
