Despite the warm, delicious donuts and friendly girls at the front end, I had a rude interaction with a blonde lady that worked in the back (prob making donuts) -- if for not her, I'd give this place a 5 star review. I wanted to try a new orchard and have a nice time before the cold really sets in -- so I decided to come here with my family who adores farms and such. We purchased an apple bag that granted us access to the orchard and pick some apples. However, when we were loading them into the trunk of my car, I heard someone say, "are yall gonna pay for that?" Obviously we had paid for them already inside and I explained this to her but she insisted on saying that we weren't allowed to pick apples unless we bought the bag and that stealing is not something that they allowed at the farm... which really irked me because I already bought a bag and explained to her this but she seemed so bothered and didn't understand. Her customer service skills are nonexistent and not here at all. it's extremely rude to assume we were stealing apples when we obviously had a bag with the logo of the farm. Why would anyone jump to the conclusion that we were stealing? I definitely didn't like the experience and I won't be coming back here. I would rather take my business elsewhere where I can shop in peace and enjoy family time. If they're going to be this unhappy and rude, don't work at a farm. Simple. Won't be coming back to this especially if blondie wants to be so rude. read more

This is my favorite orchard. They have a large selection of homemade pies, jam, honey, cider, pumpkins, and gourds and holiday plants. They're also very reasonable for kettle corn and pies. Their fruits of the forest pie is my favorite. read more

Appleland is SUCH a little Greenville gem!! With "apple valley" having some great orchards there definitely is some competition!! This stand has to be one of my favorites though. Every time I stop in for "just a few apples" I end up with arms full of randomness LOL. The perfect mix of fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, specialty items (maple products, chocolate apples, hot sauces etc.) Fall decor and of course their house-made cider donuts!! The cinnamon goodness that hangs in the air as you walk in is to die for. My latest discovery after stopping in over the weekend is their Apple wine! Whaaaat! Hello :) I haven't tried it yet but if it tastes as good as their crisp delicious honey apples then I'm sold. I love the neat setup of the store front..always clean..major "country home" vibes which I'm a sucker for, and always great friendly service. There's just something about getting a few "simple" things in here that makes me happy. We purchase bags of apples, sweets, and pies every week! They have the BEST pies. Most of the pies we get are still warm when we carry them out the door. We have been to many orchards around RI. Appleland has the best pies! read more

Everything you need for fall! Candy apples, gourmet apples, hay bales, mums, cornstalks, etc! I grabbed two huge hay bails, 4 corn stalks, and 2 HUGE mum's. Not sure the going rate for everything but it cost me a little over $100 but that's because the mums were $25 each & IMO worth it! They were really large and in a clay pot. The majority of the Mum's and Hanging Mum's were $15 so that's a great price! The only thing Apple Land did not have that I always get for fall are the white pumpkins so I usually grab those white pumpkins down the street at Blanchard- as their the only local farm who have the white pumpkins- even though their prices are a bit on the high side. The staff here is super nice and friendly and they have the sweetest little German Shepard named Emma that greets you. I think this is where I will be coming for my seasonal fall needs every year just because they are so friendly and nice here- because there are like 4-5 farms all near by- with most of the same stuff- but this one was my favorite! The Gourmet Apple I purchased was huge and delicious and I literally ate the entire thing last night (I got the milk chocolate and heath bar). They also had great candy and their Apple Pie was delicious as well! I would definitely return and I recommend for all your seasonal Fall Needs! read more

Can not believe what I paid for 4 pumpkins. I'm not even sure they were weighed correctly. 4 pumpkins came to $53! If I wasn't embarrassed I would've returned them. Hope my students like them. Could have gotten the same size ones at Any other retailer for $5...never again.. read more

There are a lot of apple orchards in RI, especially in this particular area. Appleland manages to stand out with a fantastic array of high-quality, reasonably priced offerings. They're everything you want a farm stand to be. The drive from Providence is so lovely, especially during late September. I went just wanting cider donuts, but came out with so much more (typical). I got a huge bag of honeycrisp for only $15, they were marked as B grade, but looked and tasted amazing! They also have local honey, cider, pies, potted mums, pumpkins, and lots of other treats. Their cider is more tart-sweet than some other orchards (Barden), but deliciously fresh. Their cider donuts I liked as well. Not greasy or too sugary. read more

When they're right out of the fryer, Appleland has my current favorite RI cider donuts. Appleland presses their own cider on premises, the cider goes into the donuts in the next room and it's their own batter recipe. Nummy num num. What else do I like aside from the donuts? Peaches! Appleland has lovely peaches (and pumpkins, apple wine, candied apples, fudge etc). These factors get me to 4 stars. And now a warning. Day 1: the lady at the register got us hot donuts from the back even though there were some older ones sitting in the front to make sure we had a great first impression. When she heard my friend and I wanted 3 donuts each, she suggested we buy them together so we can get the discount. And they tasted so good my 3 cider donuts didn't even make it out of Appleland's parking lot. Day 2: Feeling withdrawal symptoms the day before, my friend and I went back again the following day and ordered 6 donuts each. The same register lady suggested we buy the dozen together to get even more of a discount. Day 3: While I'm thinking about cider donuts again the following day, I get a note from my friend that she's going back again for the third day in a row w her kid who begged her to take him there after he ate her Day 1 donut #3. Carb lover/avoiders beware: I'm screwed, my friend is more screwed. 5 stars for the truly wonderful service with a smile. Been coming here for pumpkins and apples for years. The woman who works there is extremely kind and helpful. The prices are great and the cider donuts are AMAZING! Must haves when here are the delicious apples, the aforementioned cider donuts, the honey sticks and the fudge. The only thing that I have purchased here and wasn't completely satisfied with was the apple wine. It wasn't bad, just wasn't my thing. They also have a good variety of seasonal decor such as dried corn, gourds and more. I love this small family run business and my children do too. This is definitely a RI gem! read more

Adorable little place centered around apples! You might notice some apple trees behind the building. They've got what you need when it comes to apples. They make their own cider and cider donuts, DELICIOUS apple turnovers, apple pies, apple cider vinegar, even apple wine! If there is a bakery item you fancy but don't see out on display, just ask! They can usually get it for you fresh and hot from behind the scenes. They even have products from small brands across the region for sale. Think maple candies, dog treats, and all the things you might find in a country store- honey sticks and the like. Winner! 2017 Family Apple Cider Donut Tasting Competition As if one really needs a reason to get cider donuts, we decided to have a family taste-off, and Appleland took the crown this year. The lady told us where to go get them and which rows were the most ripe. It's sort of smaller than other orchards but we had the place to ourselves. The apples and peaches were hugeeee. Like the size of my head. She also told us we can eat some while we pick the fruit. They press their own cider on the property and make the donuts there. It smells so good. Wow, the peaches here are spectacular! We went for the early apple picking but couldn't help getting a few peaches, so glad we did! It's my first time at Appleland, and I'm very pleased with the all around experience. Staff was super friendly, explained the picking process, and was very knowledgeable of all the products. You pay at the storefront for either a $20 or $35 bag (both good sized), then head to the orchard. It's a cute spot but the customer service and care for the property are very much lacking. First, they're not family friendly. When we asked if one of our four small children could use the bathroom, they said no. To be clear: the cashier said no first. We didn't protest but, to apparently rid herself of the guilt of enforcing such an absurd policy, the cashier then went to ask the owner if our six year old could use their bathroom. The owner also said no. This was immediately after we had paid $20 to pick apples. They were not busy; we were the only customers in the building. Both the cashier and the owner were clear on who was asking. In other words, this was not a misunderstanding. It's important to understand what this type of interaction says about a business. Allowing a six year old to use your bathroom is not good customer service --- it's basic decency and hospitality. It's on the same level as giving a glass of water to a thirsty child. If you run a business, this should not need to be explained to you. There was also dog feces all over the orchard. read more

Last season I was on the hunt for a chocolate and a candy apple and failed miserably. This season I was referred to Appleland Orchard and it was fantastic. You can really tell that everything that was made was made with love. I bought a cider donut, a chocolate apple, a chocolate covered oreo, walnut fudge, and a candy apple. I was in dire need of an apple cider donut and some cider when I entered Appleland. I walked in their little shop and immediately eyed and grabbed a bag of 1/2 dozen apple cider donuts. Score! On the same shelf, I grabbed an apple turnover for my BFF before securing a jug of apple cider from the fridge. Lots of jams for sale. There were other baked goods for sale (pies, fudge), but I didn't find the way they were set out too appealing. Their apple cider donuts are delicious. Light with just the right amount of sweetness. I could have easily inhaled the entire bag. If this place offered hot cider by the cup and an area to enjoy it with my donut, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

My friends and I went to the farm stand yesterday (09/27/2020) the food we got was great the the service was decent. The candy apples and pies and amazing. This is probably my favorite apple orchard and my second season coming here. It's a great little place and the Apple cider donuts are to die for! They have a great little store with all kind of Apple and harvest treats. All the employees are very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the products, how they are made and where they're from. I am a little put off by the dog who is fairly large but very friendly. He always startles me a bit but has never bothered me and he usually gets up and gets out of your way. read more

We just moved to the area and thought that we would miss all of the goodies that providence has to offer. But then we discovered appleland. The owners are very nice so is the staff. The cider donuts are amazing. They have the best peaches we have ever had. We eat them with everything; waffles to steak. The chocolate covered apples are a fave of my step sons. They also have homemade everything like fudge chocolate covered Oreos and cookies. The variety of sauces, syrups and jellies is very nice. They also have great prices on cords of wood.
