Man this place deserves 10 stars from me. I love how I RAVE AND EAT at the same time. Both the food and the music were banging! Once you enter, I immediately noticed the kitchen manager checking all food before sending out. It looked like the street food stand they used to have. It gave me a feeling of night market in Asia. Love that vibes. I got Kua Gai (pan fried noodle with eggs, prawns, calamari, chicken). It's easy to over season on those noodles because they soak up all the sauce and tend to make it salty. But wow their flavor is impeccable. The ingredients are fresh, great portion, prawns and calamari were cooked beautifully. Chicken satays were good. Not dry. The peanut sauce elevated the dish to another level. Sweet sticky rice with mango was a good finishing dessert. The coconut made it fresh with the sticky rice. Highly recommend this place. Staff were attentive. They have indoor and outdoor seating (playing different music). Decor is cool.

Came here Saturday night, checked in on the Yelp tablet. Wait was about 50 min. I think we checked in 8:15pm and were seated at 9pm. This place was fun, loud, lively, casual, energetic and colorful. Definitely remind us of Bangkok's night market. There was parking in back too! We were seated quickly. There was so much seating from booths, tables, bar seating, wood bench seating. Very creative and fit the vibe well. There was a DJ playing also as we were leaving so it felt like a legit bar/club. We had an awesome server named Ben and he took care of us well! Once ordered everything came out quick! We ordered old fashioned and the princess cup. They were strong and very good! Princess cup reminded me of a melona bar. We ordered Thai boat noodle with beef, Kao soi with chicken and crying tiger. There were also some sauces on the table that were authentic (chili oil, prik nam pla or fish sauce and Thai chili, jalapeño and lime, and a red salsa). The crying tiger was so flavorful and soft and came with nam jim jaew dipping sauce. You could tell it was brined well and tender. Slightly sweet. The Thai boar noodle was dark which is authentic because of the pork blood in it, but a little too thick and too much star anise. Wish there was more broth. It needed to be diluted a bit. It felt like the noodles absorbed the broth. The Kao soi was delicious also but came with crispy noodle on top which was too much and absorbed the broth too. It didn't really soften that much in the broth. Overall love the vibes and drinks. Fun and causal dining. Would come back or check out if in town!

We came here recently and had such a great experience! The space is super cute and vibrant, with colorful decor and a cozy, laid-back vibe. They also have a nice outdoor seating area which is perfect on a sunny day. We parked on the street. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was delicious. The fresh rolls were light and refreshing with great texture, and the sauces paired really well. The pad see ew was flavorful and had that perfect wok char. The grilled skewers (especially the chicken satay) were juicy and well-marinated, and the beef was tender with a nice smoky flavor. We also tried the grilled squid, which was cooked nicely and not chewy. Overall, the food felt authentic and well-balanced. Portions were generous and great for sharing. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Would definitely come back again and recommend to friends!

Very busy and casual. I had Garden Rolls with shrimp and a Thai iced tea. The woman behind the bar was very nice and efficient. Everyone working there was beautiful. The food was delicious (the peanut sauce dip was yuuuuummmmmmyyyyy! Highly recommend. Oh, and I ordered a pad Thai with chicken to go, for breakfast tomorrow before I catch a plane home!

This colorful, uniquely decorated food spot is a real vibe and honestly a bit of a game changer. The staff works hard to make you feel at home, which adds to the overall experience--like you're visiting a very lively friend who also happens to run a restaurant. The menu was a little difficult to navigate at first--I ended up asking for a paper menu because the digital one on my phone was not cooperating and briefly made me question my eyesight and life choices. That part was a bit overwhelming, so I may have ordered a few extra drinks while regrouping. The drinks were actually really fun and helped me recover emotionally from the menu situation, and my guy had a yummy non-alcoholic drink that was surprisingly amazing (yes, I tried it... yes, I considered switching careers). Once the food arrived, it was really good and worth it. Overall, a lively place with great energy, solid dishes, and a small adventure just trying to place the order--but I'd definitely go back.

This place has been on my list for a long time. Finally got to try it this past weekend with friends that are regulars. Let our one friend take the lead on ordering for the four of us. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. It's set up to be like a street market we were near where they were expediting food and it looked like a stall at a Thai night market. Very lively atmosphere with great music. Bright decor you can't help but be happy in the space. All the food we had was delicious. The cocktails have a little something for everyone. Loved the Tom Yum which came out first the clear clean broth was so comforting. Pineapple fried rice is not a dish I usually order but theirs was delicious one of my favorite dishes and generous portion. And of course you can't go wrong with Mango Sticky Rice. Will be back

Thai food is our favorite, and we are always glad to find a new place to try. This Thai street food place is always busy but worth the wait! All of the drinks were delicious - thom kha martini, mango margaritas, Contact hazelnut IPA, and my wife, needing a break from too many margaritas- is that even possible?, enjoyed the blueberry lemonade. The food is made for sharing - everyone can order different veggies, proteins and sauces, and have a street food feast. The green beans with garlic sauce and shallots were a perfect starter. The crispy pork belly over jasmine rice was perfectly done - rich and crispy not rich and chewy. the pad med mamuang (chicken in cashew, bell pepper, and chili paste, and pineapple) was spicy but not ridiculous. Everyone loved the gang keaw wan (tofu in green curry with Chinese eggplant, bell peppers, basil. The beef Panamg curry was the usual flavorful dish.

Vibey spot but was a bit taken back when they greeted us and immediately listed a whole terms and conditions starting with only one card and a 1.5 hour dining limit. This was at noon for lunch as a party of four when there was no other party seated. Hadn't heard anything about this before and felt targeted for whatever reason. Doubt it's malicious, but I think it sets a terrible impression. Ambiance feels priced in because items are a bit on the pricier side. I felt that my entree fell short of expectations but there is a solid selection that seems promising, may have to try a classic in the future. Yen Ta Four - a popular street food in Thailand with a unique pink tint from fermented red bean curd. Included in the noodle soup are fish balls, squid, fried tofu, and morning glory. While I expected a sour tanginess, I didn't expect the entire dish to be entirely sour and acidic. Was expecting the four "S" flavors of sour, sweet, savory, and spicy. There was a kick of heat from just 2 stars, but I felt like there was too much vinegar perhaps, as the entire dish tasted like pickled vegetables. The lack of sweetness was particularly surprising. Portion was filling though.

I recommend coming here during happy hour for great prices and delicious food and drinks! The green beans were so good and are on par, or even better, than din tai fung ones. It was also on the happy hour menu, so the price was great. In the general the portion size for the happy hour menu was good with 3 skewers of the moo ping for like $6. The presentation was cute inside, and the Long Island iced tea cat cups were really adorable. I really enjoyed this place so I recommend it if you're in the area!

When I saw the name of the establishment ("market") I did not expect that they had a food stall esque aesthetic! There are two "sections" to Bangrak market, one that feels more "standard" restaurant with a bar and tall bar tables while my friend and I chose to sit in the "market" side of things. There is a QR code on the table that you can scan to view the menus and a server will come around after to get your order. At each table there are plates, forks, and napkins set up-- perfect for sharing plates! We also got cups with iced water as we deliberated over our order. As someone who doesn't have much experience with Thai food, I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. We ordered the curry on a spice level of 2 (out of 5) and I found it tolerable (I have weaker spice tolerance). There is a pleasant enough kick where it didn't feel painful. However we were told we could always add more spice after the fact if we wanted to. The beef in the Pad Kee Mao wasn't too tough and was fairly tender. I love the subtle sweetness and the occasionally spicy kicks that I experienced while eating the noodles! If I wasn't so full I woulda loved to try the mango sticky rice but that'll have to wait for the next time I swing by!

I had their crying tiger steak and it was pretty good! The steak was flavorful and I really liked the sauce that came with it. The steak was juicy and cooked nicely. I bought side of sticky rice ($4) as well which went well together. The service was good. The server was fast to take our order and the food didn't take long to make. The ambiance is great! Gives a fun ambiance that feels somewhat of a club due to the music. Lots of nice lighting too.

Probably one of the best green beans ive ever had. Delicious.

Came here with friends on a Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes outside before being seated. It was pretty busy, but once we got in, service was on point. Food came out fairly quickly, which we appreciated, especially for a busy night. The atmosphere is definitely a highlight of fun, lively, and a great spot to hang out with friends. The music was a bit loud, and it made it a little hard to hear each other at times. As for the food, it was good, but I'm still on the fence. I'd probably need to come back and try a few more dishes to really get a full feel for it. Overall, a solid first experience, and I'd be open to giving it another try.

Great food and great decor. The vibe is you're outside somewhere tropical, ordering at a food hall of cute, local street food stalls. Servers were welcoming, attentive, and great at giving recommendations. Food came out super fast. I loved the prawn glass noodles (woonsen). We also ordered a pork dish but it felt like they skimped on the pot. Also, the pork belly was a big tough and the barbecue pork was a bit sweet for me. Music was a bit loud for me - they played a 2010s party playlist.

Fairly cozy restaurant with a back portion for events or more seating during busier meals. We tried the following - Karaage wings - quite umami, a hint of curry and spices, does not really look like chicken wings - Blasted broccoli - delicious with the lemon aioli on the side. A little overcooked but a nice take on the broccolini that is usually prepared in this manner - Duck breast - I liked the meat itself - very flavorful, but I didn't like the reduction and the sage leaves did not add much flavor - Pork belly - very hearty. The chimichurri kind of clashes with the flavor a bit but cuts down the heavy fat. Potato texture was a bit interesting - Sumac hummus and cucumbers - a healthy option off happy hour. Nice that it was served with flatbread - Cracked olive salad - a bit pickly, I personally do not like olives in this manner but my friend enjoyed it - Citrus Paradisi - quite a strong cocktail, but not quite well-balanced. For $13, it was satisfactory for alcohol strength, but quality could be improved Service is decent as food was brought in a timely manner and we did not need to wait long to get the bill, etc.

And no, that's not a bad thing, quite the opposite. Cornbread is almost impossible to cut without turning into a head of crumbles, but the flavor is on point. Note: the "topped with coconut shavings" is an understatement. There's almost as much coconut as corn here. So if you're not a huge fan of coconut you may want to steer clear. The place is hustling and bustling, and there is little space between the tables, but while seated you don't mind; the noise level is ok and your conversations don't carry between tables. These were some of the best scallops ever. The flavor of the whole dish was wonderful and I loved the decadent mint gremolata. My friend's dish had plenty of short rib and was super tasty. Such a lovely place and I can't wait to come back.

Came here with friends on a reservation and had a really enjoyable evening. Seated right away,…read moreservice was attentive, and the atmosphere was exactly what you'd want for a group dinner -- nicely lit, cozy, and quiet enough to actually have a conversation without it feeling dead. Good background music that didn't get in the way. The menu is on the smaller side but still offers solid variety. Highlights were the salad, gnocchi, and especially the scallops -- honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, naturally sweet, and generously portioned with zero stinginess. Dessert was a win too, that rare combo of rich but somehow still light. Not everything was a standout -- the pasta and fried appetizer were fine but more middle-of-the-road. Still, the highs here are genuinely high. Would definitely come back for a special occasion or when I'm in the mood for something a little more intimate.

Stopped into Shorty's across the street from Bangrak after lunch and WOW... this place was a blast…read more It's quirky as hell and I mean that as a compliment. They've got tons of pinball machines, but the thing I absolutely LOVED were the booths with the pinball machines built right into the tables. I've never seen that before and immediately thought it was such a cool idea. Definitely the kind of spot you stop into for a drink and then end up hanging out way longer than you planned. Overall just a really fun little bar with a lot of character. I'd absolutely come back.

Love this bar. We have been here countless times and it's great vibes every time…read more Lots of regulars. Smoking area in front of the bar. They have games, an ATM to get quarters to play the games, free condoms box above the quarter ATM. And my favorite part a Photo Booth! A great bar to me has a Photo Booth, street fighter, and private booths. This has it all. Love how we can have fun playing games, taking pics, choosing a song, and having great conversations in the comfy booths. Service is helpful. One night one of the games ate our quarters up and never worked so we let the bartender know and a few minutes later he gave us our quarters back. Staff is efficient and keeps the bar clean picking up any left behind glasses quickly. The bar is quirky and fun. Private and comfy booths, and lots of clowns everywhere. Sad clowns, happy clowns, creepy clowns, and more clowns than you can count! The bathrooms are unisex with plenty of stickers to look at. Always hand soap and toilet paper available even when busy. Hard working staff! Some areas of the bar like near the bathrooms have flashy lights and makes it feel like you're at the circus. The vibe is laid back and care free. Have yet to try the food so no words on that quite yet! Always a great time at Shorty's. Literally one of my favorite bars! Highly recommend!
