This place is absolutely amazing. It's really cool the somewhat new owners Jim and Lauren....about as cool and easy going as it gets. I brought my family of 5, my wife, my 15 year old daughter and my sons 18 and 20....before my new grad heads off to West Point. We looked at some of the cabins, and you can see all the work the new owners have put into them, they look amazing, and a lot have been re-decorated. It's a very cool rustic. My wife and daughter loved the gift shop and the cool shirts. The guide Jeremy took us out, and my wife does not like the water, and he kept her pretty happy in the middle with the gear. We got out and saw some historical 1840's old cabin and other stuff, was completely awesome! We will be getting back there as soon as we can, the views driving in and out of there are almost worth the drive. They had a great little adult beverage store, pretty awesome to have out in the middle of nowhere...with no cell coverage which I loved....no work calls ,ha. Pretty family friendly, and the little wedding event setup looked cool.

WOOOOOHOOOO! I've gone whitewater rafting a few times, but…read morethis was one of the best. The guides were really knowledgeable and friendly. The ride went smooth and we were able to hit class III and IV rapids on Clear Creek for about 13 miles! It was affordable and great for the whole family. They do offer easier rapid trip for the youngsters. They also offer day trips, or half days in the morning or afternoon. When I return to Colorado, I will definitely go through this group again!

Lunch is not 'gourmet' as they claim, but catered from Subway, but still tastes really really good after a day of rafting. Okay, maybe it's 'gourmet' if you consider that they brought both water and pink lemonade coolers on the rafts! Not only does Adventures in Whitewater offer lunch on the river, but we also stopped at a cliff from which you can jump off 25 feet into the water. For anyone who wants to try cliffjumping but also wants it to be safe, this one's for you. There was also a smaller cliff for those a little less daring. We took the 'beginning to moderate' river tour, but due to low rainfall was disappointingly uneventful (June 2013), kind of like tubing down a river really, with very few rapids. Fortunately that was the only disappointing part of Adventures in Whitewater. These guys are pros, everything was well coordinated and a bucket of fun.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced kayaker who has not paddle the Colorado company this company has something for everybody For the beginner, they have amazing lessons and safety training and for more advanced paddlers, they have can take you down challenging river runs It's also the "complete package" --they have all the equipment all the logistics worked out . you just show up at their place in Edwards and they take care of everything and then bring you back to the point of origin. The drive to most places where you put in boats on the river are 30 to 40 minute drive so very close to the Vail area and convenient. A recent trip with " Matt " was one of the best I've had in which we had both experienced and beginners in our crew and Matt catered to every level as we went down the river and provided great river training skills and even acted as "photographer" for the trip .
