My friend and I rented paddle boards from SUPCO and we had a great time on the river but no thanks to the employees at the Rancho Del Rio location. The men who rented to us were incredibly rude from the get go. We made a prior reservation for two boards but when we arrived we asked to rent one more. They lied to us about the number of boards available to rent because they were too lazy to count them (we overheard their conversation saying they only pretended to count). Also, before we left they asked if we could be back by one and we said probably not because we were floating from pumphouse back to Racho. As river professionals I would assume they knew that it would take longer than two hours. Since they did not object we thought they wouldn't mind if we took our time. When we returned, they came up to us and instead of asking why we were late they immediately started yelling at us. Blaming us for wasting their day and being very sarcastic. I would SUP the Colorado River again but I will NEVER rent from SUPCO ever again. read more

My husband and I are frequent stand up paddlers, but haven't done a ton of rivers yet. We did the 10 mile Advanced SUP guided tour with Javier yesterday and it was just fantastic! Javier was an excellent guide - having us practice river techniques, walking back up with my husband to run the Class III sections a few times until my husband was able to clean it, and full of great knowledge. SUPCO's advanced trip was fantastic and in the area of river SUP'ing, it is hard to find things that are not just for beginners. Yet, from what I've heard from others, they do a great job with beginning instruction as well! If you're interested in SUP, this section of river is truly gorgeous!! Couldn't disagree more with the bad review of these guys. The staff was amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. We showed up a little late but everyone was still ready and waiting to help the 7 of us get rocking. After a ridiculously funny presentation of the do's and dont's...... on the the river we went. Most fun you can have on a river. 100% recommend his crew. Luke, Ben and Dewey were our guides...awesome. But don't forget Buckley...the man with the plan. read more

Great experience, and you can't beat the views from Dillon Reservoir! We dropped by on a Tuesday, and staff were friendly and relaxed, plus they got us out quickly, in front a larger group still figuring things out. Adjustable paddles and BIC boards, with the option of demo boards. We weren't sure about the chilly water with overcast, low 60s weather, but with a t-shirt, it was perfect. read more

I went on an adventure with Stand Up Colorado and it was easily one of the best things my family did on vacation. This company is highly professional, and very organized. We rented three paddle boards and a two person Kayak. Very poor customer service especially from a man named Nate. We actually loved our time on the water however we ran into a storm which of course is not the Company's fault. We were very disappointed they made no effort to assist us or to ensure we were ok after the very difficult trip back to shore. All they care about is getting on with the next rental. I would NOT recommend you rent from this company. Another person who actually trained us and did a very good job is named Nancy. Outside of a positive experience with Nancy, all they want is the rental fees and then on to the next person. JD read more

Family owns 3 time shares in Avon. Been coming to Avon Park for years. Had a small family reunion. Had a great time, until we went to Stand Up Paddle Colorado, on Avon Lake. Trinity, an employee, treated our children and the adults terrible. Rude and disrespectful, as we tried to rent paddle boat and kayaks. If Trinity is a true representation of the company, we will never refer anyone to them. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but she needs to work on her people skills. read more

It was a fun day on the river and I'm glad we had guides since it was our first time to SUP on the river. Only negative was I had asked on the phone earlier if there was a local's rate. The answer was yes 10% discount, but then Buckley wouldn't give it to us on-site after the trip when we were paying. Lame. We live in Eagle and had taken an out-of-town guest with us. Next time we're looking for an activity with people in town we'll spend our $100+ somewhere else. read more

This review is for the dome at rancho del rio during august 2015. I feel bad for the owners who seem like good people. Their staff was rude, condescending and one guy was borderline threatening when we showed up a little late for his shuttle. We were able to rent paddle boards but the experience at the dome put a negative feeling on the whole day. When in such an incredible place, it is mind-blowing that a few disgruntled employees could ruin an experience, but they somehow managed to. It is close to 6 months after the event and I stumbled across their yelp and still felt the need to write this review. If planning on paddle boarding the colorado river near rancho, I would recommend renting in town and bringing the boards out there like I have done before with great results.
