remember when i told y'all about the inconveniences? well, i just came across a new one.. called to place my usual wet burrito order at 8:30pm on a friday. business hours posted say today (friday) they are open until 10pm. the guy who answered would not stop calling me "madre".. cool, whatever. then he proceeds to say he's sorry but they're closed for the night. i was like umm "padre" your hours say you are open until 10pm today ? he said no that's the grocery store hours not theirs. i then told him i was referring to THEIR business hours as that's what i had yelp searched (not the grocery store). after being caught in a lie he said oh well we don't have asada anymore. i was like that's fine i wanted tripas anyways, you got that ? he said yes. then when i said i want a wet burrito of extraaa crunchy tripas he said "oh nah we don't have anymore tripas" mf what?!!!!!! you just said you did?!!!!! then you said you was closed but now you're open but with limited options like HUH?! if anyone knows where they sell bomb wet burritos (spicy, none of that yt ppl tomato salsa) & tripas in the area pls let me know. this is outRAGEOUS! stand up tacos? more like sit down tacos, take a seat y'all doing too much & not enough at the same time. read more

My wife loves tacos and we saw this small shop inside the Superior in Chino. Really small place but friendly staff. We got the 25 taco platter and upgraded some tacos to birria taco. It took about 15 minutes to have them ready, it was a lot of tacos. They presented them well, but the quality of the meat was fair. For the carnitas they were a little on the dry side, as well as the Birria tacos. Not worth the upgrade. The best meat was the chicken and Carne asada tacos. Overall a decent place at a decent price. The outside pictures on yelp don't show that this place is located inside a super market. They must have a more traditional location elsewhere. Either way, the Taco Tuesday special suited me just fine. I ordered three but was told it was a minimum of five for the discounted price. Was intrigued by their loud "Taco Tuesday" signage heralding $1.50 street style Tacos (asada, carnitas, al pastor or buche) and was hooked by the enticing smells emanating from their flat top grill, aka plancha. Worst rip off ever! I ordered the Caldo de rez to go and was a total of 18.00 dollars , only to come home and find 3 small pieces of meat 2 bite size pieces of cabbage and 1 potato . Ridiculous portion! It was all broth . Even the rice was a little amount, a quarter of a small cup. I was even charged a 1.00 dollar misc. fee . I don't recommend coming here at all, stick to Cardenas where they pack the bowl at only 10.99. Calling in was no help, just trying to justify the portion. read more

As you know, I'm a sucker for a good flauta. And this, while not the best, are a decent example of flautas for an under $10 price point for the combo on Wednesdays. It's crunchier than I like--I always think of a doughy fried flour tortilla around beef when I think flautas--but a crunchier corn tortilla is fine. But to me that ventures into taquito territory. And you do get four with the plate. The rice and beans were alright. The only letdown were the sour cream and guac, but that's easily remedied by asking them to hold it. The service and ambiance were fine; it is a joint inside a grocery store after all. But I thought it was serviceable and clean, and all the staff were very friendly. One bad point is that it had a lot of microtransactions, like charging $1 for refills on your soda and $1 for using a credit cards. If it were not for this nickel and diming, I think I would be back more often. But as it is, it really puts a bad taste in my mouth when the price isn't the price for the practices I normally do free of charge anywhere else. read more

The food is not bad. I love their fair prices and specials. Customer service is horrible when the manager isn't there. A female employee that is there weekday afternoon/evenings is super rude and immediately changes her demeanor when someone non-Hispanic comes up. She charges me $1 to use my card. When I'm rung up by someone else, I do not get charged. I asked her about it and she claims that it's a fee for using a card. Had the burrito graving and yelp led me here. The location is inside the Superior grocery store which at first I was hesitant but gave it a try. I ordered the Carna asada wet burrito which didn't disappoint. The red sauce was nice and spicy and had toppings on top with the cheese and sauce. Ordered the asada fries. Only wanted meat cheese and fries. The lady looked at us weird. Had to ask for her to put more cheese as there was barely any on the fries. They were ok. I wouldn't order them again. I also got the lengua combo. Husband loved it. Just wish it came with flour tortillas instead of corn. My biggest complaint is the menu prices don't match what they charge. $11 for the asada fries was charged $12.99. The lengua $13.49 was charged $15.99. I understand when online menus haven't been updated but no restaurant or fast-food should be charging more from what their menu in the establishment shows. read more

Place is a scam. Came in today for taco Tuesday order 5 bouche tacos For $7.88 for my self. I convinced my 8 year old daughter to try them and she liked them so I sent her to order two for herself, then we waited and waited and eventually I was finished with all my tacos and was becoming upset because no one was making her tacos. When they finally gave her the order it came with two extra chicken tacos. I figure they gave them to her because she waited for so long so we were grateful. We then went about our way and got our groceries and then I saw my bank statement and they charged her $9.74 so I went back and asked her how is it that I got 5 tacos and was only charged 7.88 but you charge my daughter $9.74 and the lady says well she also got 2 chicken tacos and I told her she never asked for those she only asked for 2 bouche and she said I heard her say two chicken which I know she didn't because I also listen to her only say 2 bouche. This place lemme tell you!! Absolute best street tacos in the area! Been here a few times while working out in Chino and have even commuted from Beaumont to here to eat! You know when food makes you smile. Stand up tacos did that for me. I wanted to grab a snack and to check off a bookmark. Let me just say, wow. I have had a lot of tacos.. But this place did it for me where I actually did the "yumm mmmm" in my car by myself.. I got a fish taco and a carne asada taco. The fish taco was something I was actually excited about, I been craving it and my craving is satisfied! Perfectly fried fish and all the fixin's to complement. Located inside Superior grocery store, it's a tiny place but they have great menudo on the weekends, and their fish taco is great too. The menudo has plenty pieces of tripe, hominy, and tender pieces of meat. Their taco tuesday is great too, I usually get their pastor and buche with plenty of onions and cilantro with lime on the side. I was craving buche and saw this place sold them so I decided to go during my lunch break. I got a buche taco, cabeza, and tripas. Tripas tacos are always a hit or miss for me because sometimes they come out chewy and sometimes they just taste dirty. These tripas tacos were honestly one of the best I've had. They didn't taste dirty and they were so crispy. I wanted to get another one right after but I had to go to work. The other tacos were good too but the tripas was my favorite.
