This is by far my favorite taco spot in the area! Their asada is one of the best! It is very flavorful and has a nice smoky taste to it. They have homemade tortillas that are also better than a lot of other homemade ones I have gotten. Everything I have gotten here has been good! First time here came for lunch Right off the bat as I walked in I was greeted by the cooks which of course is nice. Atmosphere was nice, music was playing. I really came for the Quesobirria tacos I ordered the combo with 3 tacos and rice and beans. Also got a regular drink that did not come with the combo. Total was around $25 which kinda crazy but I understand price for meat has gotten higher so restaurants still need to make a profit. They had three salsa this I have to say was the only downside was that none of them were actually spicy at all. I'm not sure if the one I had was the habanero one that's what it was labeled, but it did not taste nor look like habanero salsa so perhaps they just didn't have that one at the bar. Once I got my plate, it looked great Every taco had a very good portion of meat inside they were nice and seasoned. The meat was not even remotely dry. It was nice and tender and juicy. Tacos were by far the best ones I've had in this area. Their rice and beans were good as well. All in all, I definitely will be coming back. Also, I love that they have outdoor seating. read more

Just moved to Chino Hills and my mom spotted this place while running to the bank. We had to try it, and I'm glad we did. The spot smells amazing when you walk in, super welcoming, and the staff were so patient helping all three of us order. I got a combo with a red chili cheese enchilada, crunchy beef taco, chile relleno, rice, and beans. The crunchy taco was  what I wanted, like homemade but better. The enchilada was okay, not the star but not bad either. The beans were honestly delicious, and the rice was fluffy and flavorful. My sister got a carne asada torta and it was bussin'! It had Mexican sour cream and real cheese, packed with flavor. One of the best tortas I've ever tried. My mom got carne asada tacos with rice and beans plus a carnitas mulita, and the meats were super flavorful across the board. Overall experience felt like a 5-star visit because of the food and service. If I'm being picky, I'd give it a 4.5 because there weren't limes out, no diet/zero-sugar drink options besides water, and the chairs weren't super comfy. But none of that would stop me from coming back. Definitely recommend, especially if you're new to the area like me and looking for a solid, welcoming spot. We'll be back for sure. read more

Perched on the corner of a shopping center right off one of the most busy streets in Chino Hills is Casa Juanchos, and it's been around a long time...for good reason and let me tell you why! The inside is cozy, small but not too small. There's some seating inside but when I got up and left a customer was waiting to take my seat. They've got nice decor and warm colors, it's a feel good restaurant. The menu is plentiful, from burritos to tamales to combo plates, everything to satisfy the craving. I got the crispy beef taco plate, and not pictured was 2 birria tacos. Both were outstanding, the price for the combo plate was spot on, and came with a lot. The beef was tender, I forgot that the cheese in these tacos normally isn't melted, it's not my favorite but with some salsa we got right back in track. The birria tacos were heavenly, all I have to say. Everything was good quality, it didn't feel like any corners were cut, you can watch them make the food in front of you if you wanted. Casa Juancho is very good. Especially since that side of Chino Hills lacks a good taqueria spot. Service is always friendly and efficient whenever I have been here. They also are happy to make recommendations or give more details on what's included. The burritos are a little more slim than some other spots so I recommend getting a side taco or two if you're on the hungrier side. I personally get a carne asada california burrito and a pastor taco on the side. I also eat like a blue collar working man sometimes LOL... Anyway, the place is very casual. Arrived to this shopping center looking for a poke restaurant that I had been to awhile ago and was in a hurry. Tried this place out for the first time and was very pleased with the food. Ambiance: The ambiance inside is decent. It's a quick stop shop to get some good Mexican food. Service can take a while but hey if the food is good, which it is, it's worth the wait. Three of us ate food from here. One wet burrito, a regular carne asada burrito, and nachos with al pastor. All 3 of us got sick even though none of us live in the same household. I had gnarly stomach cramping and the two others had diarrhea. So, safe to say I don't recommend this place. Also, the ambiance is meh. Had the chilaquiles verdes, menudo, and steak and eggs. Offer coffee and coffee with cinnamon. Everything was fantastic! Facilities were on the small end but very clean and obviously run by a professional. Beautifully designed and decorated. Indoor and outdoor seating. The cherry on top, VERY clean restrooms. After 3 visits it's time to agree this place Sucks. I tried redeeming a coupon and after the cashier shrugged with a smug face she found a way out of redeeming a free drink ! For a Mexican diner restaurant I say the decor looks decent. Floor is clean and in good shape. You can see the cooks prepping food behind the glass window. Staff taking my order is nice and friendly. Seating is limited but also because there's good amount of people come in to dine and also people there to pick up their orders. So the business is doing great. Manager dresses up nicely wearing nice shoes to check on customers. Staff and manager cleaned tables quickly as soon as customers left the restaurant. Only thing is that the food takes quite a long time to be brought out. Birria Quesadillas was so delicious. I also had the pozole, very delicious too. I wish they have the option of pozole in a cup (smaller portion). I also ordered a serving of birria taco, super yummy! I would come back again. This place is family owned and I try to support it as much as I can. It's a quaint little restaurant and you're able to eat indoors or outdoors. We have been several times and I feel the need to state what a fantastic job they do at providing great Mexican food. Food is always fresh and it's the best thing to home cooking. Terrible greasy food. Ordered a Carne asada burrito & torta and they were sooo greasy and my torta looked nothing like a torta I've ever ordered. Also, ordered a potato taco and it was super deep fried the potatoes were almost disintegrated. There were about five cooks standing around, and obviously one angry or unhappy guy doing the cooking. Sad thing is this place was good during COVID-19. Guess under new ownership or no management in charge. One star because the cashier was friendly. I will not be back.
