Great hidden gem! The food is always consistently delicious. We usually order the Platanos Fritos. Just a heads up, you'll need to request a side of beans since they don't typically include it. The only downsides are that the restaurant often feels understaffed and the food can take a while to come out. We've visited several times, and these seem to be the two issues that come up each time. Otherwise, we are very happy with this spot! It definitely satisfies our Salvadorian food craving! There's usually a lot of seating; and the environment is clean and decorated very lovely. I also tried the yuca frita con chicharrón, which was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. It instantly brought back memories of the good yuca spots in El Salvador. For my drink, I went with coffee, and it did not disappoint. I always drink my coffee black, so I can say with confidence that it was rich, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff were very friendly and attentive, checking in to see if I needed more curtido, salsa, or a coffee refill. That kind of hospitality really makes a difference. The waitress/cashier was very friendly and polite. She was very helpful and the food came out rather quick for pupusas. I saw that they opened up recently near Latimex Market. I bought a plate of Churrazco ($20.99), which has casamiento (beans and rice), avocado, chimol (salsa), sausage and grilled green onions with a large grilled skirt steak. I ordered revueltas ($3.75), horchata Salvadorena ($5.99), and Ensalada ($6.00) to try as well. Their curtido and salada were good, the revuelta was fresh and hot with plenty of filling. The churrazco was tender and seasoned nicely. The casamiento was the only one I did not like, it has a very sour smell to it but everything else was good. The drinks were a good size and tasted fresh, the ensalada had lots of chopped fruit bits inside. The horchata was a bit different from Mexican style horchata but it was good too, no rice inside but I think a dried fruit seed grounded and mixed into the drink. Spacious restaurant, warm ambiance Service is very, very slow as they try to accommodate customers. Food is made fresh to order to ensure quality, hence the long wait. An hour and 15 minute wait for my to-go order. Understandable, being it's soft opening day. Alexia, (not sure of the spelling) one of the servers is very nice and friendly. It's hard to find good pupusas in the I.E and this place isn't what I thought it would be. It has good reviews so we decided to try but the pupusas are not good. We walked in, and were promptly greeted. We placed our ordered 2 rueveltas, 2 cheese and bean, 2 of cheese and loroco. Unfortunately the lady took our order wrong and blamed us. She offered to make new ones for an extra charge. Despite that the pupusas of cheese and bean had no cheese. The 4 rueveltas she gave us honestly had a weird after taste. Overall the pupusas are pretty flat, they aren't masosas but just didn't do it for us. It is also pricey 4 dollars for one pupusas. We will not be coming back here. read more

Upon entering we were immediately greeted and asked if it would be for here or to go. We let the waiter know it would be for here which he then told us we can choose where ever we would like to sit. The whole restaurant was very peaceful and well decorated with beautiful pictures. After reviewing the menu I decided on a hot chocolate with milk which was actually really good, it taste like Mexican hot chocolate but with a mild peanut flavor. I also decided on a side of rice for my baby and for myself 2 pupusas one cheese and jalapeño, the second one was cheese and spinach. Once they brought out my pupusas I then realized why they were almost $5 each as they were huge, I was only able to eat 1 at the restaurant. The cheese was really cheesy and flavored perfectly with the jalapeño and spinach . The veggie mixture (curtido) that is placed on top of the pupusas didn't have the vinegar flavor I love , had more so flavoring of water so that was the only downside . For the salsa it wasn't spicy for those of you that don't like spicy flavors this would be good for you . My baby's rice was really good and she enjoyed it. Also pictured in my review pics is what my mom had ordered but I didn't get to try it. She ordered a breakfast platter which she said was good. Only recommendations I have would be to have a meal platter that has the pupusa, rice, and beans like how they have their platters for breakfast. Secondly I wish there were pupusas with no cheese for those who can't have cheese.
