My son (5) and daughter (8) attended GrowFit for spring break 4/7-4/9 (2026)…read more My daughter was in a group with 8-13 year olds and her counselor in training was having issues with her boyfriend and told all the kids in her group about it. She told them she gets naked in bed with him and sucks on his....she then realized what she did wrong and told all the kids to keep it a secret from their parents. I've been told this counselor has been removed, but 1) why is a 14 year old in charge of 8-13 year olds 2) why isn't there a more robust training 3) what is the vetting process before hiring someone? 4) why are 8 year olds in the same group as 13 year olds? Don't ever send your kids here. My daughter's innocence was stripped away in a day.

There were multiple days that he came home and said Matt and Peyton are his best friends and multiple days where Matt and Peyton came up to my husband and I during pick up and drop off to greet us and give us a detailed report of how he was doing in camp. This meant the world to us. Thank you so much for a memorable summer and hope to see Matt, Peyton and team again next year!

Our daughter attended Sharmila Montessori from 2023 to 2026 and graduated recently. We are quite…read morehappy with the care and would recommend it to other families. The campus is well spaced, with three or four large mixed-age classrooms and two large playgrounds. The school focuses on social-emotional learning through mixed-age group play, teaching children to take care of their own needs (folding their blankets, cleaning up, looking after their belongings, etc., ), and art/creative learning. On a typical day, kids spend time reading books, doing fun activities with their teaches as well as outside play and often times singing or preparing for fun school events. Over the three years since we joined, Sharmila has grown this school through word of mouth and expanded her staff and school facilities. The student to teacher ratio is impressive (about 1:6) and kids get individual attention from their care-givers. Our daughter misses her teachers and the experience. Throughout the school year there were plenty of events for parents to take part in and to connect with other families. Whenever we needed help managing a challenge, Sharmila was always keen to work with us and accommodating. She has a good understanding of the individual nature of each kid and what would enable them to overcome a challenge. It is evident that Sharmila has years of experience and understanding in nurturing young children.

A Truly Exceptional Foundation for Our Children…read more Choosing Sharmila Montessori for our son and daughter was one of the best decisions we have ever made as parents. Nestled in a peaceful, bucolic setting, the school offers a warm and nurturing environment that feels like a natural extension of a loving home. But what truly sets this program apart is Sharmila herself. There is simply no one who goes the extra mile quite like she does. She also holds a high bar for her team. Both of our children entered her program on the quieter, shyer side. Sharmila met them exactly where they were, tuning in to their individual personalities with patience and unwavering support. Under her guidance, they blossomed, gaining both independence and quiet confidence. If you are looking for a pragmatic Montessori experience delivered with unmatched dedication, wisdom, and heart, Sharmila Montessori is peerless. We are forever grateful for the incredible start she gave our family.

Decided to finally leave this review as I am now looking for camps to send the little guy this…read morecoming summer. He loves Battle bots so I thought it would be great to send him to ID tech after receiving a flyer after attending a Battlebots show in Las Vegas. After spending $1600, we were disappointed. He had a great time, but he didn't learn anything, or do half of what was advertised. They didn't get to play outside like was advertised, not much of a campus tour, didn't learn coding, and spent a large amount of time on Roblox. In fact, his closest friend from camp came from the Roblox class. We were supposed to get to witness the final competition, which we later found out took place before parents were allowed in, and there was no certificate ceremony as advertised. By the time parents were allowed in, the kids were just playing with the robot and passing the controller around. He didn't really seem to know any of the kids in his class, and the other kids seemed to just be parallel playing as opposed to collaborating as a class or teammates. We had invited his relatives for the last day, as it was supposed to be presented as this big event to witness what our kids had learned, but in the end I was grateful they weren't able to make it. I feel like I would have been embarrassed of what they would have seen. Also for the price, he didn't get to keep the robot. And the flashdrive he received? It was completely blank. His favorite part of the experience you ask? The cafeteria.

We had a decent experience a few years ago, but this year was a crazy waste of money. The…read moreBattlebots camp was mostly just break time sitting in front of the computer playing Roblox or other games. There was supposed to be a coding element, but the counselors said they would do all of the coding, and the kids learned nothing. Then the counselors dropped the ball and failed to do the coding that was needed. The assembly work done for the bots was much easier than a basic LEGO set, so I'm not sure what engineering-interested kid could possibly learn anything from this camp. CoderSchool in Berkeley is half the price and actually teaches coding.
