hired Dragonfly Designs for a 7yo birthday party -- I selected the combination jewelry making and tie dye, a 2-hour party. It went so well and the kids had such an amazing time. The team of 4 showed up 15-20 minutes before the start time to set up. Everything was super well organized and professional. They walked the girls through an easy system for jewelry making, I was amazed no beads got mixed up. The girls had so much fun making so many pieces, and then they moved over to tie dye in shifts as well. There were a bunch of options - shirts, hats, totes, headbands, scrunchies, and each girl got to tie dye 3 things (except one who got so into the jewelry making that she completely forgot to go tie dye!) -- they provided each girl with a bag with clear instructions on how to handle the tie dye, which was great, and little bags for their jewelry. They used the full 2 hours and the girls had so much fun -- not just making bracelets but also bookmarks, sun catchers, key chains. There were neat charms too. All in all the girls had a blast, I appreciated how hands off it was for me, and I would absolutely hire them again (pretty sure we're going to for her sisters Girl Scout troop). Used them for my kid's bday party. I think it is expensive for what they provide, and would be better for maybe 10+years old age group of serious crafters and beaders or for corporate team building - not younger kids even though website says 6+. We used them for an 8 year old bday party and it kept the attention of some, but not others. The instructions are pretty detailed for that age group. The teachers were very task focused helping close up the necklaces and whatnot, but weren't as engaging with the kids (I get it, that's not their job, but I thought if they do kids camps and parties they would be more extroverted with kids.... one barely spoke to anyone the whole time). They also charged a $100 mobile fee even though there is no possibility of having the party in-studio (no studio), and we had to procure our own tables and chairs - so not as convenient as I thought even though we are required to pay the fee for them to bring the party to us.... Doesn't seem that hard for them to have the folding tables and chairs they want to use, on hand and just provide it as part of the bday party setup... They also had a teacher cancel the day of the party (so we had 2 instead of 3), which I understand life happens, but the overall number of things that made it seem not super customer friendly kept adding up... edit to add: yes I am a legit customer and have used the business, I just don't use my actual name on yelp reviews for privacy. *Also, just noticed when I was on evite that the customized evite that was supposed to be a part of the bday package is a generic free version from evite. I struggled with it when I got it bc the pics they sent didn't match the size of the evite and now I know why.. it's not custom or easy to use at all.. read more

My friend booked a jewelry making session for us group of girls, and it was so much fun! You can surprisingly create a lot of pieces in 2 hours! Kelly was our instructor, and she was great! We had a (virtual) corporate cartooning event where Garry taught us to draw chibi superhero's. We drew Batman and Wonder Woman, and then eventually drew a superhero selfie. It was so fun! Garry walked us through each stroke and we were done drawing before we knew it. I was pleasantly surprised to see how good my drawings turned out. Garry started off the session telling us to imagine we're at a BBQ so that there wasn't too much pressure with drawing. :) The class was well organized in terms of structure and timing, and was an overall great experience! This is my second experience with DragonFly designs (took a Macrame class before this) and both were fantastic! Would highly recommend this company for any corporate or personal events. read more
