Amazing, deliciousness and casual dining and coffee spot in gorgeous country! Worth the drive from Sun Valley to sit on the rustic porch and enjoy mugs of coffee with a late breakfast. The Quinoa Breakfast of two quinoa croquettes topped by perfect poached eggs and sauteed vegies was SUPERB - yep, capital letters GREAT! Friends gave us a nibble of the oatmeal pancakes which were a tad sweet in the best way, and had a nice crunchy chewiness. I'm going to look for another chance to go to the Stanley Bakery, but when oh when? A cross-country drive is great for exploring, and at the very least, making a list of the "go back" places. Fresh ingredients, good food, and beautiful views makes Stanley a must stop if you're in the red fish area. The bakery is a great place to enjoy baked goods and coffee or a full lunch. They also serve fresh kombucha, which can be hard to fine elsewhere in the town. If you're going to visit, make sure to double check the hours. They usually stop serving around 2, and by noon, many of the fresh baked goods may be sold out! read more

I honestly don't know what people see in the food here. It is average at best. I ordered the special of the day: Chorizo omlette. It was NOT good. But I ate it anyway and didn't complain because I was very hungry. No one in our group liked their meal much, so for taste I give this place a 1 out of 5 stars. That 1 star is for the homemade jam and people who work there. Do yourself a favor: buy some jam and go home and make your own meal. I think they are still in business due to lack of competition. After you order food at the cash register you get a playing card to take to your table and they bring you your food. Odd point: they don't bring you ANYTHING else. You are responsible for getting your own flatware, napkins, water (if you want it, which we did) from a counter by the cash register. Service was great. The girl who took our order was very nice and everyone who brought food or jam to our table was helpful and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. My fiance and I had breakfast here 3 days in a row. Not only was it one of the few choices we had for breakfast in Stanley but it was the best choice! The most memorable breakfast entree I had were oatmeal pancakes. I was apprehensive about my choice but my worries were all put to rest after my first bite. They were hearty, moist and a bit chewy. Try them! Their selection of sandwiches are worthy of a visit too if you're looking for lunch. A must if you are in Stanley. Over the years this place has remained consistent in terms of quality, service, and cool factor. I have not had anything on the menu that I have not enjoyed. Wow, found a new tradition when we visit Stanley each summer. Must make time to visit this place. My wife and I with our 3 kids ages 19,15, and 9 were all very satisfied with the breakfast. Ordering before you find your seat can be a little intimidating in a busy place like this but don't fret. It is a very efficient way to serve more people. I don't know where everybody came from but there were more people in that restaurant than Stanley has permanent residents. Super cute and eclectic decor! We ate there three mornings in a row. Highly recommend the Migas and the breakfast burrito with bacon!!! They serve an amazing homemade blackberry rhubarb jam that is also available for purchase. Wow!! The fruit in my granola/yogurt breakfast was so fresh I can't even explain how good it was. The granola is a special house blend that I wish they sold to take home. And the cinnamon rolls? Out of this world!! I haven't said much but what I ate (oh yeah the mocha they made was perfect, too) but all of it was SO damn good that I am at a loss for words. Been here 3 times now over the last 3 years and it looks like they have expanded which is good because the place is always busy -- but it's worth the wait. Coffee is really good as well as the food.
