Super cute quaint little place! We were just stopping in before our 3 day backpacking trip.. our last real food lol It was delicious! Super kind employees! Cute little place! Def recommend if stopping in Stanley!! The blazing bird was a bit spicy but delish! I needed more ranch they charge $.25 which was annoying cause I didn't wanna charge my card again! But other than that food was delish!

We reserved a few tables for a large family event. The staff were extremely helpful and made sure we had the space we needed. There are lots of different pizza options. We tried several different kinds and they were all really good. The crust was good and held all the great toppings.

Was camping up in Stanley this past Fourth of July weekend. And headed into town for the parade and street fair. Decided to order pizza for a large group online with a pick up time of 8 PM. When I arrive to pick up the pizza there was a line out the door and around the block for people waiting to order. They were running about 10 minutes behind, which was to be expected with the amount of people ordering. They let me know I could wait outside in the picnic area and the staff was so kind and brought all six of our pizzas plus plates and napkins out to us. Even though this was a to go order. We received the same service we would have if we dined inside. The pizza was hands-down delicious. It was lovely to enjoy outside with live music during the street dance. 6 pizza's fed 16 people and we even took a whole pizza back to camp for lunch the next day. The price was more than fair. $163 including a tip. We will definitely hit this place up when we're in town again. Pizza just hits different in the mountains.

A wonderful spot to hang and have a delicious meal. We sat outside with our dog; ordered the Caprese salad and the meatballs. Full of flavor and quite tasty. The team there were friendly and so fun. Go an enjoy all they have along with the tasty pizza nd calzones.

    Contest winner pizza

This pizza was excellent, especially for such a remote spot in Idaho. We had the contest winner and were totally delighted, hit the spot after a day on Redfish Lake. Good, fast service in a casual setting.

This place is a must. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Our 2 pizzas came out pretty quick and were delicious. Waited maybe 15 minutes with them being busy but you can enjoy a cold beer while you wait. I recommend the Notorious P.I.G and the Texan!!

Stopped at Papa Brunee's for a midafternoon snack with my group of friends. We ordered 2 large pizzas (Sawtooth Special & Howlly) and an order of wings. The pizzas are hearty, with thick crust and loaded toppings. There is a menu with several options to choose from, or you can even make your own. If you're not in the mood for pizza, they have calzones, wraps, subs, salads and appetizers. While you're here, add wings to your order, you won't be disappointed. Big, juicy and flavor packed, need I say more? The staff works hard to make sure your food comes out in a timely manner. If you're looking for a quick bite or to hang out, this is the spot to pick. Have a pup with you? No worries, there is an outdoor patio & grassy area for your furry friends to join!

Stanley, Idaho is one of my all-time favorite places to visit. I lived there at one point. The Sawtooth Mountains can be seen from the restaurant. The rustic atmosphere fits perfectly with this small mountain town. You order up at the register and food is brought to your table. I've had pizza and calzones. Both are delicious, but I think I had the best calzone of my life this summer at Papa Brunee's. You can customize! I did a cheese, ricotta and pesto calzone. It was SO good! It was not too overloaded with cheese and the perfect size for lunch. If you visit the beauty of Stanley, Idaho make sure and visit this spot. Don't forget to go out to Redfish Lake too!

    Medium Pepp-E-Due

After an 8 mile strenuous hike, this pizza brought me life. We've been eating food we cooked in our RV for a while now, but it just wasn't going to cut it after today's hike. Covid-19: you can order and pay over the phone. You have to go inside to sign the receipt. I didn't see anyone wearing masks inside. Our pizza wasn't quite ready and they brought it out to the car for us after I signed the receipt. We got 3 medium pizzas: Blue Apple, Pepp-E-Due, and Notorious P.I.G. We also got some firesticks. This was for 3 people and it was entirely too much food. I guess hiking all day will make you overestimate. We finished all of the firesticks and half of the pizza. Who doesn't love leftover cold pizza though? I loved both the Blue Apple and the Pepp-E-Due. They both had unique toppings and were delicious. The Notorious P.I.G was good, but it was pretty much just a meat lovers pizza, so nothing too exciting. I loved their crust. We got regular and it had a good crunch to it on the outside and a good flavor. The firesticks were good. They were like an upgraded cheesey bread. They had a little kick but weren't that spicy. I loved the cream cheese addition. This is definitely the best pizza I've had in such a small town and way better than I would expect to find. Check it out!

Considering Stanley has a population of 63 people, one would not expect it to have a great pizza restaurant but believe me when I tell you--they do! Papa Brunee's is great pizza. If you're hiking around the Stanley area, you should absolutely try it after a long trek. My wife and I shared several of their pizzas after hiking 10 miles to Goat Lake while fasting the entire day. It was exactly what we needed to recharge. We tried... Firesticks Notorious P.I.G. Pepp-e-due Blue Apple My favorite was the Blue Apple but everything we tried was great--certainly better than I expected it to be!

Let's keep it real folks - in the middle of almost nowhere you are not getting gourmet anything. But for what this place is - it's five stars. Large facility - clean. Service was friendly and prompt. Order at the counter and they bring out your food. We way over-ordered and they happily gave us a box for leftovers. Meatball appetizer was good, the bread was clearly slice and bake but the meatballs themselves looked and tasted homemade (basic red sauce). Very decent portion size. Pizza - ordered a Margherita and asked to substitute olive oil for the red sauce. It was very fresh and delicious. We ate the leftover slices cold the next day and had no complaints.

When you first walkup to the hotel, you are met with a very rustic, cabin-esque hotel building where you wouldn't expect to find such a fine dining experience. We were sat outside which presented the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. We ordered several dishes for our meal and every dish was just as amazing as the other! Bigwood Baguette: This was a great start to the meal! The baguette was baked to perfection and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes topped with an herb oil and sea salt which added the most flavorful touch. Soup of the Day: Their soup of the day was a White Bean stew topped with rosemary and hern olive oil. The stew was rich without being too heavy and the seasoning was perfect. Soy Glazed Brussels: The soy sweet chili glaze had such a nice balance of sweetness and the slightest hint of spice. The crispy rice noodles and crumbled peanuts added such a nice textural contrast to the Brussel sprouts, which in my opinion were cooked to perfection! They were seared well without being too burnt or crispy. Beets & Burrata: Hands down one of the highlights of the whole meal. This dish came with a handful of components, that when paired together into one bite on a crostini, resulted in the most delicious amuse-bouche. The burrata was so light and fresh and I never knew that it was the perfect pairing with beets on a crostini. A MUST have. Columbia River Grilled Steelhead: Absolutely stunning. The Steelhead was executed beautifully and the mushroom asparagus risotto was cooked to perfection. Honestly, compliments to the chef for what seemed to almost be an experimental pairing with adding the sweet pesto and blueberry gastrique. Never could have I imagined these flavors being paired together atop a piece of salmon and I will not ever soon forget how flawless this dish was. Pork Schnitzel: This was my husband's dish which I did not have a bite of, but from what I could tell, the Pork Schnitzel was very well done. It was thinned out and tenderized very well and the breading looked like it was golden-crisped wonderfully. I did get to try the mashed potatoes and can remark that they were some of the best I've had! I had some of the lemon caper beurre blanc that was drizzled atop the dish and I would do anything to be able to have a jar of that at home. I am going to talk about this meal for a long time. If you are ever passing through Stanley, Idaho, it would be a giant mistake to not visit the restaurant at the Sawtooth Hotel.

That wasn't cool, he seemed super grumpy. I notice things and people notice things in general. If you don't want to be friendly, then maybe a host isn't the job for you. The eating area was nice. It had enough space where you didn't feel like you are on top of each other. The server we had was actually super nice, I did not catch her name but was great. Attentive and friendly to us all. The food we ordered was the tri tip, peach salad with shrimp, mini cheeseburgers, soup, and chicken wings. The tri tip was smokey and tender but you barely got any. The taters I ordered were over fried in old oil, it didn't taste right. The peachy salad with the $7 add on for shrimp was a rip off, there were 5 total shrimp! $25 for this salad. Maybe 1/2 a peach. Wife described the shrimp as overcooked and rubbery. Shrimp should be slightly orange just past translucent and juicy. See photo. The mini cheeseburgers were mini but the kids liked them. Daughter liked the potato soup, and an order of chicken fingers had all fries the size of about a 1/2 in. It was weird, not sure if it was intentional as it was a kids meal. The other kids meal had normal sized fries. Overall it was disappointing. Also, I don't like restaurants who calculate the tip for the after tax amount...tip should be on the cost of the actual food, not also the tax. Come on people. Not worth it, I wouldn't stop here again.
