Prices and service that CANNOT be beat! Christian and his worker came out the VERY NEXT DAY I called them that my hot water heater wasn't working. Mind you this was at 10 o'clock at night and he offered to come out the same night to fix it but I said the next morning was fine. He was fast efficient and very affordable! I got his company off of Facebook. I saw that they were also highly rated on google! I have had quite a few companies in my house as we have been renovating and I can tell you I can't appreciate it anymore than they came in and fixed the exact problem I have and didn't try and tell me I needed XYZ to get more money out of me. Stanley recently replaced our kitchen sink, rerouted a number of pipes that they found not up to saftey code, and much more! Called the night before an setup to be seen the next day if possible, great with getting us in there busy schedule. Communication with where the team was that was coming out an a window of time given for ETA. All of the team members that showed up were very polite an courteous despite covid19! Worked for hours an were busting butt to get the job done as we have a 16 month old that was napping shortly after they arrived. I loved that they did a inspection before giving us a quote an explained everything. They also found 2 faulty stop valves that could have failed an caused damage to our house. The price/hours the team were working on our home was more than fair. And yes Stanley deserves to charge a little more from there competition because they are that good an fast lol. I was blatant and shamelessly scammed by this company.  Don't let it happen to you. I recently needed to install a new well pump and after getting quotes from a couple of different companies, I decided to go with this one since it was the most cost effective.  That turned out to be a big mistake.  They came and installed the pump in a day which was nice but after less than two weeks of use it became obvious that they installed the wrong pump.  I explicitly told them before they did any work and even before I got a quote from them that my well depth is 500 ft.  They ended up totally ignoring that and installing a 350 ft pump.  In hindsight I'm sure that's why their quote was lower than everyone else's.  They ended up having to replace the incorrect pump they installed after less than two weeks of use.  They agreed to come out to correct the issue and when they were done handed me a $1500 bill WITHOUT EVER TELLING ME IT WOULD COST ANYTHING. They wanted ME to pay for THEIR mistake.  That is what I consider fraudulent.  In addition to dishonesty, they were extraordinarily unprofessional.  They'd just show up whenever they wanted without prior contact or setting up a date/time to do work. I'd recommend staying away from this company.  I'm sure literally any other plumbing company will have far better competency and better morals than this one. read more

They left several times in the middle of the job to go take care of other people's "emergencies." I'm sorry, but I HIRED YOU! I AM WITHOUT WATER! Other times they left and just said "we'll be back." Often I would look outside and see them at their truck sitting around doing nothing and smoking and throwing their cigarette butts all over my yard. They did a half assed job, literally left rubble all over my house. They threw my bath mat IN my sink and got it soaking wet and covered in debris. They tracked mud ALL over my house. They would shout for me from upstairs and expect me to be at their beck and call instead of courteously coming to me to explain something. I found chewed gum stuck to one of my walls!! And the guy who cut into my wall was a teenager on his FIRST DAY of work, absolutely no experience. I had to spend two days cleaning up their mess, and when my husband asked for money back for a job half finished, they ghosted us (no one answered the phone, and eventually we gave up chasing these clowns). This was the worst home service experience of my life, and I still get angry when I see their truck around town. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! This is a terrible company. Stay away from this company. They will rip you off. They will tell you that you need certain repairs and items that need to be replaced, that are not necessary. Workmanship is poor. Some of the young guys are inexperienced and not journeymen plumbers. He had to keep calling the owner with questions on how to fix things. Do not hire this company. They signed a contract with me, cane the first two days on time and the disappeared BSing their way saying they have emergencies. Took $3,700 and about $2,000 worth of damage. Also they took my tools with them. I have my law suit against them so we'll see where that goes. Christian showed up to my house high (I have videos) always late and had a fight with his coworkers that scared my kids. They were arguing in the stairs and in my front yard. This is a trash company. Called Stanley Plumbing to see if I could get someone out to my house to help install a new faucet and reroute the drain since I went from a double drain to a single during a kitchen remodel. Seemed simple enough, but not something I felt completely comfortable doing myself. When the guy answered the phone and I told him what I needed, his first response was "if you're looking for a bargain, we're probably not your answer." Ummm, okay. Was looking for a good job, and fair pricing. BUT, since they offered a free estimate, I had them come out anyway. After initially giving me a quote for $800...then dropping to $675 after I hesitated...I think I'll figure it out myself. After reading the other reviews on here, I understand why we received such poor service. Just wish now that I had looked at these reviews first. They were so rude to us. They charged us $450 for less than 10 minutes worth of work. When we questioned it, we were told that their plumber was simply that much better and faster than other plumbers - and the job would have taken another plumber 2 hours - so they charge a higher labor rate. I had Stanley Plumbing out to give me an estimate for work around my kitchen sink. This included installing a new faucet I had purchased, setting up some drain lines, installing a garbage disposer I had purchased, and installing a dishwasher I had purchased. 2 guys showed up and I hoped they would be able to do the work right then. I figured 2 plumbers might take 3 hours for the job and even if they charged $100/hr for each plumber at most it would have been a $600 job. They estimated an outrageous $1475 and so I sent them away. Don't waste your time here unless you want to be gouged. read more

The difference is their Plumbers are experienced and know what their doing vs. many other companies that will come to fix a problem but instead make things worse. All of their plumbers can do a complete fix so their not sending out multiple plumbers to cover multiple days. My experience has always been great with them from the initial estimates to the fix. Worst service! They made a mistake when they fixed the leak in our shower. We made two appointments with them & Christian Stanley himself said they would be out to fix it 2 days in a row but never came. He told me to buy the extender needed to fix THEIR mistake. I went to both home depot & Lowe's & neither store carried said part. He was rude when I spoke to him & said that the company we had come in to fix the tile they took out should be able to fix it; when he stated the first day they were supposed to come out he would not charge us for. The tile company ended up having to buy supplies to MAKE the part needed to fix it & charged us (rightfully so) $250. Stanley plumbing owes us this money & have yet to reimburse us! CON ARTIST, SCAMMER, THIEF. This company is a joke. I needed my water heater worked on. I recently purchased the home and the 85 gallon Marathon $2500 water heater went out. The owner Christian came out and said that it could not be repaired and the tank would have to be replaced. While he was downstairs making an estimate for the replacement, (I'm in a wheelchair and couldn't go down with him) he without my knowledge disconnected the tank and took it to the back door of the basement. When he came back up with estimates for replacement, the pricing was ridiculous. I told him that I would like to talk to my wife that night and I would get back to him. He went back down to clean up and then one of the kids that worked with him brought me an invoice for $410. For the diagnosis. Later that night I spoke with two other plumbers and called the manufacturer Rheem. The other plumbers said that the tank has a lifetime guarantee and that the issue could have been repaired with replacement parts. They also gave me estimates for new tank setup IFneeded for less than half of Christians gouge estimate. My wife went down to get info off of the tank (now by the back door) so that we could call Rheem to ask some questions. The tank was GONE. Christian hauled away my old tank without my Knowledge or Permission. Just like he disconnected it without my knowledge while he was originally downstairs. He STOLE my lifetime guaranteed tank. I called him first thing the next morning twice on his cell and left a voicemail. I called the office and spoke with a lady and she said she would get in touch with Christian and see where my tank was. I called back later that day only to get the full voicemail box. I believe that he saw that I live in a nice neighborhood, was is a wheelchair and couldn't watch his work and he saw a great tank that could be repaired and decided to take it for himself by saying it couldn't be fixed and then try to price gouge me on a new setup. My wife is irate. I'm going to file a complaint with the licensing board and possibly call the sheriffs dept. Not sure what to do to at least get my tank back from this crook. They won't answer any of my calls. I see that their has already been a disciplinary action against his license before and hopefully if the board gets enough complaints they will pull his license. I'm hoping a police report will help them with their decisions. For anyone reading these reviews it looks like he get great and horrible reviews. Worst experience I have ever had. I would never use, nor recommend anyone To use this company. They asked that I use PayPal to pay them, then when I did, they spent the whole evening and next two days harassing me because the way they told me didn't work correctly and they needed their money "right then". I was at snowshoe with my family and between Saturday night and Tuesday morning, 42 emails. THEN they wanted to refund my money and me pay a different way. When I told them I was out of town and would be back in about 4 hrs they waited outside my fathers house for me to get there(which I don't live there, I was paying for a repair for my elderly father). When I told them I would pay them when my money was refunded, they stayed harassing me. I wrote them a POST DATED check for the 30th (which is when PayPal said my money would be returned) and instead they cashed it yesterday... they gave me 150.00 off my bill, but that left 725.00 for them to snake a toilet, and 36 hrs of harassment, plus cashing a check that I did not authorize them to cash. Don't use this Company!! The owner Christian will come out in an emergency but will ask for 1/2 down before starting the Job. Once started he will leave and say he will be back. Good luck ever seeing him again & if anyone does show up days later or if at all, it will be with Teenagers that are not fit to fix anything. I doubt this guy is licensed to do plumbing. The work he does do is not up to code and is subpar. I disputed the work after all the work done failed with my Credit card company and had to redo all the work he did along with replacing all the parts he installed with up to code and reliable parts. He left me with a real mess and had nothing to say but the work they do is under waranty. I wouldn't call this guy back if my life depended on it & wouldn't suggest this guys company to my worst enemies. Check the better business bureau to see what I mean about this company and Google reviews. My bet are the good reviews on Google are his own people posting good reviews for him. I really do not give out reviews as a norm,but this time I have to. We had some work done this weekend (Saturday) and the initial job was fine, but later found it needed to be redone due to an issue with the placement of the piping. We called them back and they refused to work with us and gave some excuses that were not very convincing. We were basically left with the same problem that we called them with and out of $375 on top of that. Stanley Plumbing out of Front Royal did work on my toilets, kitchen sink, and most recently pipes on five occasions over the last four years. However, this past time will be the last. He is pleasant, and cleans up everything. However, he is almost always late, coming after the two-hour appointment window. More importantly, this last time he overcharged and pushed hard to up-sell products and services. For example: he charged $375 per pipe (hot and cold) to install new copper elbow joints above the hot water heater. When giving the quote for this and other work, he spoke rapidly and urgently, and I honestly missed how much he was charging. I paid, but was not pleased. I asked a subsequent repairman (doing one other plumbing job plus additional house repairs) how much he would have charged, without informing him what I'd paid. His charge would have been $150. Stanley also urged me to buy a new gas hot water heater, though my current one is only five years old, still under warranty, and was properly inspected by the county. He said there is a new code for venting for better carbon monoxide control. Fine, I've installed an alarm at (obviously) a much, much lower price than a new heater. I like to give jobs to small business owners, but this one is just too expensive and unreliable. read more

This is probably the hardest review I have ever written because I expected it would be a good one, but unfortunately it can't be. I expected it would be a good one because it is Christmas Eve and I have running water, but the way I was treated is not worthy of a good review. There were red flags, but I did not see them because I had a plumbing emergency. It all started on December 22, 2016. Our water pressure was low, but I was busy and did not investigate. By December 23, 2016, my preliminary investigation showed that the water softener discharge hose had water pouring from three places. Thinking it was because the hose had three holes, we bought a new one; however, once we got the old hose off, there was nonstop water flowing from the side of my house. It was after 5 pm, so I google searched 24 hour plumbers in Front Royal. I was almost in a panic because the water was flowing fast and I tried to shut the circuit breaker, thinking it was for the water heater, but it kept flowing out. I had in fact turned off the well pump switch. I on purpose called Stanley Plumbing for two reasons. One being that the ad said 24 hours. Secondly, I saw five stars by the name and number. Christian answered and he himself, the owner (he introduced himself as the owner) calmed me down and talked me through how to get the water to stop. He also came out himself. He said it was a $150 emergency fee and that they are sometimes a 24 hour business. I was too upset to think about that. He came out and said I needed a new water heater, but he couldn't do that that night. He said first thing on December 24th, he would send two people to install one, and meanwhile, he would hook it up so we had water that night. However, when everything was turned back on, water was pouring out of the house again. He then said I had two problems. He said the well tank (the blue one) went as well. He diagnosed that by the water flow out of the water softener discharge thing out of the side of my house. We had no water last night and first thing, two employees showed up to take a look. They did not call first like he said they would, but that was okay. I was so grateful Christian came out. He said his prices were higher because they were a five star company. He said he was charging me one hundred dollars as a deposit, but they did not apply that as a deposit. The two technicians,Ronnie and Christopher said it was an emergency fee that does not get applied and it was because of the holidays. Christian had actually said the whole $250 would be put towards the fees, and that did not happen either. Christian talks fast and his prices keep changing and I was getting confused by the choices and prices. He said he could install a fifty gallon electric tank for eighteen hundred, and then added three hundred for the well tank and three hundred for installation. No additional for supplies was quoted, but they were charged. He quoted $2,400 total minus $250. I was grateful that even though I had to scrape that money together, I felt he deserved my business because he came out to my house and the water flowing out the side stopped. I thanked the techs a lot for coming. The whole time during installation, their phones kept dinging and ringing. They said it was Christian and he was telling them in texts how to get ready for the new van they are getting next week. They said they could get done faster if he left them alone. The two tanks were installed; however, water again began to pour out of my house. That was the original problem. Ronnie surprised me when he said it was a water softener issue. What? That was what Christian had used to diagnose the well tank as needing replaced. So Ronnie called Christian and Christian said it would stop and told him to suggest something to me. I heard Ronnie say that he was about to suggest that to me. I don't know what that was. Unclear about why water was pouring out of my house when I am spending every last dime I can come up with now on this issue, I called Christian. He was nasty and rude and yelled at me and said he was not sure what I did not understand and that I had to call the cullingan man. He yelled at Ronnie because I asked a question. No one ever explained why he used that water flow to determine I needed a new well tank, but now it's a water softener issue. I just wanted that explained. They were gonna leave the water pouring out of my house, but they did not do that. They charged $2495 total, which I paid. I was upset the way I was treated by the owner, so I told the two technicians that I appreciated the work they did, but customers don't come back when the owner screams at them. They apologized for him and I heard them apologize to him that I bothered him. He also left a nasty message and no apology when he found out I was displeased. He implied he will charge me more now that I am writing a poor review. It is his behavior I have issue with. The water heater works great though and I am grateful for that. read more

Used Angies list for a prepaid $69 service call to repair a leaky kitchen Moen faucet. They charged $200 for a $20 replacement cartridge on top of the prepaid service fee. When complaining to the owner - he stated "read the fine print". You should avoid these scam artists at all costs. read more
