SERVEPRO'S crew of young professionals were in and out of my house for days. There were many trips up and down the stairs removing soggy walls and rugs. With their drop cloths and vacs and fans, I had no damage to carpets or walls. They left everything in top condition every day/ They were not at all intrusive. We called a few places and settled on Maine Carpet Cleaning because they quoted a very fair price and was able to dispatch one of their technicians that same day. When the technician arrived he was prompt, polite and professional. He worked quickly and best of all, completely restored the carpet! Basically they do very lousy work and take forever to do it. I came home from work one day to find all of the workers sleeping or smoking in their trucks. Plus when I report these issues they do not respond or take weeks to fix it, which is unacceptable. I will never use them again EVER.

This was our first mistake. Long story short, they were there for several hours going in and out of the basement, disseminating lime, then left. We had someone observing the technicians the whole time. The invoice claimed they were there for 16.5 hrs, that the technicians DUG UP the dirtied soil and disposed of it. None of this was true. As stated, we had someone observing to ensure our interests were protected. A second mistake was not video recording the process. We were essentially charged over $3,500 for the sprinkling of lime (which costs less than $10 for 50 lbs at Home Depot by the way). We reached out to the operations manager with this complaint. We felt we had been scammed and even reported it to the credit card company. He rebuffed and threatened to put a lien on the property and cc'd the lawyers. Please get a quote or a free consultation prior to the service. A reputable company will not do this!
