A pretty horrible experience with unprofessional individuals. An employee sat on my car while taking payment info. When asked to not sit on the hood of my car, employee laughed. Shoe coverings were not worn. Markings on newly painted walls And baseboards from the hoses. Most importantly, the stains from foot traffic on the carpet were not removed. Stated by the employee "it's wear and tear". Extremely unsatisfied and cannot get in contact with manager. $260 for the "service" that did more harm than good. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I had my carpets cleaned before I moved out of my apartment. The next couple days I had to work so I didn't notice until a few days later that the carpets weren't actually cleaned. The pictures attached are after the "cleaning". Small things that my at home carpet cleaner would have cleaned, so you know their heavy duty machines should get it. There were multiple spots. I also paid and extra $40 for a deodorizer that didn't do a damn thing, the carpets smelled the same after they dried. To top all this off, I called and just asked for a refund. Why would I pay $190 for something that I didn't even get? Well, they said they do not do refunds. And since I moved out of my apartment, they cannot reclean them. The manager left me a message, and I called back and left him a message. He never reached back out. I had Stanley steamer out to my house that I just bought to clean the carpet before our move in. I selected what I wanted done and when they came they try to pressure you into a bunch of unnecessary add on's. After they cleaned I still have several areas that smell like pet urine after they assured me adding the deodorizer would eliminate the smell that I couldn't smell before they cleaned it. For the price I feel that more time should have been given to cleaning the carpet but it was a race to get done and to move on!!!so to say the least I'm disappointed with my services and will go else where. read more

Furnace duct cleaning was a disaster. The two man crew was very polite and seemed to want to do a good job. About an hour and a half into it I asked the technician where the big vacuum was to suck out all of the dust and debris and I was told his truck doesn't have that. He assured me that it would be just fine. On further questioning he brought in a large square device and hooked it to the furnace. As they were finishing up the job I reached in to a number of vents. My hands returned as dark as coal and I was able to grab debris and dust bunnies from the vents. The small pile of dust they showed me was nothing like the commercial. I had several chairs that belonged to my daughter and had been stored in a storage shed for 3 years. The chairs were nice, but extremely dirty and I decided to try getting them cleaned so the people who wanted to use them would be able too. Tre and Michael were amazing, even though they cautioned me about being too optimistic due to the level of dirt on two of the chairs. They called me out to my garage where they were cleaning the chairs as surprised as I was out how wonderfully clean these chairs now are. The people who answer their phones are idiots, and twice, they cancelled their scheduled appointment. The last time, it was 15 minutes after they were scheduled to appear. My family has used Stanley Steamer for years, so we automatically called them when we needed service on our new home. Big mistake. They arrived late, didn't bring the proper wand (ended up using a stair wand on the entire second floor) and one of the servicemen was incredibly rude. I wish I could give them zero stars. This was the absolute worst service ever. I hired them to clean three bedrooms and carpeted stairs at one of my rental properties. I also paid extra for deodorizer and the smell of the carpets didn't change. There were still stains, dog hair, and dirt in the carpet after their "cleaning". The dirt actually floated up when I dragged my shoe across the carpet. My husband had to go over it again with our home carpet shampoo machine. The amount of dirt extracted was ridiculous! My husband wanted to do it in the first place and I told him no, let the professional do it. I should have listened to my husband. read more

Stanley Steemer's technician came on Friday to clean my carpet and said he had wrong machine and they would have to reschedule for Saturday. A different tech came on Saturday and said it would cost $250, what rip offs. One room and a closet $250 and they give out false advertising of $99 or $128 for 3 rooms. I was willing to pay $105 for one room and a closet! read more

I have used Stanley Steemer for years with no problems (My previous home had lots of carpet) Recently, I called them about cleaning a large area rug. They determined that the wool rug needed to be taken to the cleaning facility and assured me that the two pet stains would easily come out. I paid over $200 in advance. Five weeks later, I called them about my rug and they scheduled a delivery the next day. I waited all day, nobody showed up OR called. The next day, I called them and the circus began. The first excuses were tags got switched, they couldn't find it. I sent in descriptions. Three times I tried to talk to the manager, but he was always out and wouldn't call me back. I dealt with a very nice man who attempted to find my rug and texted me pictures. They must have a terrible tagging system! I found a picture of the rug which I sent, but there were no responses until the next week. My husband went to their facility, and suddenly, there was news that they delivered the rug to another house whose owners admitted it wasn't theirs, but they left it there. To make matters worse, the couple decided not to report it and planned on keeping it. I have my rug back, but it still has spots and they have not refunded my cleaning costs as they promised. I will use a small, locally owned business ( Coit) next time. Beware! read more

All in all Stanley Steemer is my cleaner of choice. I like that I can book online. There is normally always some type of coupon or deal I can apply. There is always a wide variety of times to choose from, I have always gotten prompt call backs, and staff is always kind. I'll save you the trouble, and expense, and suggest you shy away from the deodorizer and protectant prices. They just don't work that well and are overpriced. The cleaning is great though. I haven't had staff that were unpleasant either, although some were more friendly than others. read more

It was apparent the equipment was not disinfected between uses. The hoses and equipment looked dirty. They drag the hoses around the house. Its pretty gross. I should have chosen another company. The two technicians wore their shoes and boots in our house, without booties. Now, I will have to disinfect all of the hardwood floors. I called the company to discuss and they said the technicians didn't have to wear booties. Epic fail on my part for choosing Stanley Steemer! Won't make that mistake twice. read more

We have a geriatric dog. Well, like a human, he is forgetting things, including things that he should not do at home. He makes his mess and we always use SS to help us out. My home has white carpet all throughout. My carpet was dirty, had re juice stains in it, and it didn't smell too good either. The young man that came today did a fantastic job. He was prompt in coming when he was supposed to. He got the juice stain out, and my carpet looks great and smells great too. Stanley Steemer came to our house after another carpet cleaning company cancelled at the last minute. We were treated very professionally and respectfully through the entire process. We had Coit scheduled on a Saturday from 9am-11am. My husband and I got up early and moved all the breakable stuff and small furniture. The Coit cleaner called at 11 and said he was sick. He wanted to re-schedule. I called Stanley's 1-800 number and they had a team out to our house at 12:30. The carpets look great! I will be calling Stanley for future carpet cleaning. read more

I can't even explain how upset I am with Stanley Steemer right now. I scheduled an appointment between 8 and 9 AM and at 8:30 am I got a phone call that they were on their way. It wasn't until after 930 that I had to call and someone showed up a few minutes later. Upon their arrival the guy said it would take an hour and a half to clean my carpets which is never taken that long before. I had to send him away which is a huge inconvenience considering I had to take off work for this and clean the entire house to prepare for their arrival. On top of that, realtors are coming to take pictures of our house and now my carpets haven't even been cleaned. I have been using Stanley Steemer 11 years but I will never use them again after this experience!! read more

I had Stanley Steamer come out to clean tile in my shower, 4 bathrooms, a laundry room, around my bar area, clean my sofa, loveseat, an area rug, and steam clean 1 bedroom, a hall and 2 sets of stairs. First off, don't rely on the internet as far as rooms because they will tell you an area counts as two rooms in person. They then charged $180 to scrub the tile in my single person shower alone, which was insane! Now the tile floors- I could have done a much better job with my eyes closed! Their idea of cleaning is far from clean. There is no way they used any cleaner what-so-ever on my tile floors. At one point I did ask what was being used and I was told "water for now, then we use a cleaner." There is no way that was ever used. You could still see the dirt on the floors that was there from the beginning. After they "cleaned" the tile floors, they then used a colored sealant on the grout that I had chosen. After that was put on (smeared everywhere) they mop the floors to "clean" them to make them look "perfect." Again when they moped just water was used. I was told "that is all that is needed to get off the residue from the sealant." The floors were a smeared mess. I even found it smeared on baseboards, which now I have had to touch up with paint. They failed to do the inside of a closet in one of my bathrooms. I also found multiple chips in my paint in my walls now from their equipment that weren't there before. They were very careless in regards to that. They never once wore shoe covers even on the carpet they had said they cleaned. They of all people should know dirty shoes on wet carpet = dirty carpet. My rug that was "cleaned" looks no different what-so-ever. The couches that were "cleaned" - I had to go back and vacuum up the crumbs and things that were under the cushions before I could put them back down. WTW??? Things looked no different, except for the color change of my grout and then my shower which he did do a very nice job on! I definitely would not recommend them. read more

The first time I used Stanley Steamer, I was overjoyed with the work. All spots gone. Carpet looked great. I signed up for the 1 Year Guarantee. The next time, which was two days ago, was not at all like the first. The employees, although perfectly nice, did not get the stains out as the ones who came the first time. And the stains were much less embedded this time. One wasn't treated at all. Very disappointed as I have two more visits coming.Do they only give great service on the initial cleaning? To get people to sign up for future service but only provide half the service? I hope not. read more

On April 30th, 2018, at 9:00am,Stanley Steamers sent two young men (ages about 21 to 23) to my home to clean three rooms. I have used this company before and they have always done a good job in years past. Approximately 40 minutes later, they indicated they were finished. I inspected the three rooms and admittedly, the carpets looked clean. I heard something odd outside so when I went outside, I saw a large pool of water (a few hundred gallons) that had sprayed all over a 5 foot area from a bad connector to my water spicket. As much or more water was spraying out against my home, windows and pooling as probably made its way into their hose to clean my carpets. I ran over to turn off the plumbing fixture and was soaking wet myself from all the water. My concern is that my bushes were drowning in several inches of standing water near the corner of my foundation. I must admit that I raised my voice to these two young men which is not typical of me. The youngest of the two said he was "in training" and the connector they use to screw onto the plumbing fixture was broken but since they didn't have a good one, they were told to use the broken one. I asked to speak to the Manager "James" and told him what happened and that he NEVER should have let his crew come out with faulty equipment. I told him I had a real concern about my bushes dying/drowning in a large pool of standing water. He asked to speak to his crew so I handed the cell phone back to one the workers. They walked outside, disconnected everything while on the phone with "James" and drove away. Today, I receive a bill for 100% of the cost of the service. I called the Corporate Office and they said "James" will call me in the next couple of days. My advice to anyone reading this is to STAY AWAY FROM STANLEY STEAMER OF LOUISVILLE. They have faulty equipment and untrained staff on the job. Its just not worth the hassle - go with anyone else. I MAY SEND THEM A BILL FOR THE WATER USAGE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wonderful job. I have used other companies in the past but none of them did as good of a job as Stanley Steemer.

They did a great job on our carpets, if only the one service man, (younger) did spend so much time talking, and asking questions, the experience would have been a lot better for us. Other than that the older tech did a fantastic job, would have him back again, unfortunately not the younger tech. read more

I had a Stanley Steemer coupon -- carpets cleaned in 3 rooms for $99 -- and I phoned to make an appointment for November 15, 2019, giving the calltaker the promotion number on the coupon. I was told the truck would arrive between noon and 4 p.m., so I canceled my other activities for that afternoon, moved all tabletop items and other possible breakables from the three rooms I wanted cleaned, and stayed home. When no truck had arrived by 4:20, I phoned the office and was told that a truck would be coming, and that Stanley Steemer would knock 10 per cent off my charge because they had missed the appointment window. The truck pulled up between 5 and 6 p.m. There was one employee. He said he couldn't move chairs because he had run out of plastic strips to put under the chair legs. I told him that was unacceptable, so he called somebody who came and delivered strips. When he finished after about an hour, he handed me a bill for $120 + tax -- $40 per room, and no credit. I showed him my coupon but he said that he couldn't honor the coupon. I had him call his office. I was told that I needed to pay the amount on service person's bill, less my 10 per cent credit, and that Stanley Steemer, once they had my payment, would send me a refund check to honor the promotional price on my order. I have not received that check. The service person left without returning moved furniture to its proper place. He said he had two more jobs to run before completing his day. read more

Don't count on them arriving during your scheduled arrival window. They were supposed to arrive between 10 & 2. 2:30 I get a call that they'll be here in an hour! Then I get a call asking to clarify my location ...they can't find my house. Of course, they'll not even close to my neighborhood! read more

Not much positive to say and I am pretty easy to please. I called to get a price, they asked the size of the rugs, which I told them. When they arrived the guy said they would have to pick them up and take them (for 2 weeks) and the price was MUCH higher. He said this was because they were wool - but they did not ask that on the phone only he size. Then he gave me a higher price for the rugs that he could do on site - and I had told them the size of those on the phone also. I passed on that. The furniture that they "cleaned" still had spots when they left. One my husband removed with a spot remover right after the guys left - I had asked the guy and he said that it would not come off. All in all, call someone else. I will never use them again. read more

Two stars because of tile cleaning, otherwise it would be 1 star. We had ceramic tile and carpets cleaned. The ceramic tile came out great after we paid double to have the grout resealed and colored, but it was worth it. The tile and grout look new. Beware the standard grout and tile cleaning does not get the stain out of grout, but it had been 5 years since our grout was sealed and they restored it to like new. However, the carpet cleaning was a waste of money. They pretreated spots and retreated some spots but many did not come off. They told me they spent extra time on the spots but they would not come off and it was the best they could do. The next day I treated the spots with Oxiclean spray and they came right off with very little effort. Later when I saw some other spots I used an organic spray rug spot remover and again they came right off. They need to stop by a store and get a bottle of household spray carpet cleaner to use instead of their big fancy tank that did not do anything. read more

Worst cleaning I have ever had. In addition they left the gate to my back yard open (I have a dog) and propped my storm door to my house open as far as it would go (I also have an indoor cat). They dumped the waste water down half of my double wide driveway leaving a filthy mess and only put placstic protectors under one chair of the four areas cleaned. In addition, I have called twice to complain and as yet have never received a "call back" from my complaint!! read more

WOW! Extremely disappointed!!!! Two guys from Stanley Steemer in Louisville, Kentucky, came out to clean my carpet. First, they acted as if they didn't want to clean my carpet because I was on the THIRD floor. They had to wait for another guy to come out to bring some tape for their hose, so they could run it from the THIRD floor balcony to their truck. Second, As I was going out of the door to go to my truck to run an errand, so I wouldn't be in their way while they were cleaning, I sat in my truck for 5 minutes and noticed one of the guys putting the cleaning hose back in his truck. As I sat there in my truck for 10 more minutes, I received a call on my cell phone stating they were FINISHED!!! I was shocked and surprised. He then ask me for my form of payment. When I walked in my door I said "That was quick!" And the representative stated "Yeah, we have some pretty good solution." However, I paid him the fee, and after looking at my carpet, there is no way they could have cleaned, deodorized, and put a protective coating on my carpet in 15 minutes, that is what I PAID for to have done.....There is no way!!!! They didn't even tell me how long it would take to dry, and they didn't even leave the blue nets you put on your shoes to keep dirt off your carpet while the carpet is drying. This was a POOR, RUSHED, UNPROFESSIONAL and DEPLORABLE job!!!! I am extremely disappointed, and I NEVER want them out to my place again. I should have rented a machine from Kroger and cleaned the carpet myself. When a guy came out from this company last year, he did a wonderful job, and it took him over TWO hours to clean my carpet. He explained to me the drying time, what I should and should not do while the carpet is drying, and he left the blue nets to put over your shoes to keep dirt off carpet while it is drying. Stanley Steemer should be ashamed, and the TWO employees that came out should be fired! Their work was horrific. I don't know if they had another job lined up, but they sure wasn't concerned about cleaning my carpet. I will NEVER use them again. I learned a good lesson today!!! read more
