It has completely dried overnight which I am very grateful for, but when I vacuumed my traffic areas especially today, the carpet came back up like it did as new! I used stanley steamer today. April 15th 2026. Pushing close to 400 bucks , having faith in them as i have never had a problem with them before. MAJOR disappointment today. The two young men came in saying .. we can take care of your carpet, for a few extra bucks will buff the carpet to get the black out . Oh and we can get the black stains out of of your shower for you for 25 bucks extra per bathroom AFTER they both looked at the shower itself T.W.I.C.E. and said yah, we can do it. 10 minutes in, i walked back to see how it was going .. and it didnt look well, so I said.. this isnt gonna work is it.. and John said and i QUOTE. NO, due to it being plastic , we cant get it off. TWICE THEY LOOKED AT IT AND SAID THEY COULD... so they STILL charged me and it looks awful . They did not spend ANYTIME on the carpet . They ran the water .. back and forth a bit , and DIDNT SUCK UP ANY OF THE WATER afterwards . Litterly, the carpet pooled in a couple areas... its gonna take DAYS for the carpet to dry. We DONT have days. The house is going on the market FRIDAY THE 17TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i have painters coming in tomorrow... moving your elderly parents out of there home back to tucson one with ALZHIMERS, has NOT EVEN FOR A MINUTE been easy on them or us.. I really REALLY need help, and stanley steamer FAILED US .. I have contacted the B.B.B... and will will be on them until something is done. This was highway robbery, in a time thats been DIFFICULT enough . Never again.. never ever again will i use this company. What has happened to peoples work ethic and being able to say no, buffering wont work , nor will the shower cleaner in this type of shower.... I had a nice leather couch that my cat had marked her territory on in one spot. I attempted to clean it with chemicals from the pet store. It left a nasty citrusy smell afterwards. I contacted Stanley Steamers and they were able to schedule an appointment rather quickly that worked with my personal schedule. The team showed up and we're very professional. They went over all of the things that would be done to the couch and let me know other options I could do if interested. They were never pushy with adding other items. Simply explained them and if I said no they moved on. My couch now looks brand new and smells amazing. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for professional cleaning. read more

I am giving them 3 stars because they cleaned around some furniture instead of moving the furniture as stated on their website. The two men came on-time and were courteous. I showed them the rooms, stairway, and hallway we wanted cleaned. I showed them a desk and attached shelving that they did not need to move; meaning of course, I expected them to move any other furniture out of the way to clean the entire carpet. My wife, son, and I spent about 2 hours the night before moving a lot of the furniture off the carpet and removed all books out of bookcases, knickknacks from inside/outside other furniture, lamps, etc. I did not watch them clean the bonus room/loft upstairs as they sprayed cleaning chemicals on the stairs and I did not know if I should walk on it. Later they came downstairs and I observed that they cleaned around the sofas in the downstairs living room. I asked my wife if they already moved and cleaned under the sofas and she stated to me "No, they did not." I then asked one of the two men if they moved the sofas and cleaned under them, and he stated, "Do you want us to?" I said, "yes" and then I went upstairs and moved a sofa and a credenza (that I emptied the night before to make it light) and there was debris under the sofa and the credenza obviously was not moved as it did not have their protective pads under the part that touches wet carpet. They did move smaller furniture; such as, lamp tables, coffee tables, etc. without asking them to. It was the larger furniture such as sofas and empty cabinets that they tried to get away with not moving. They did go back and clean under sofas, etc. after I told them that they needed to clean all the carpet and not just some of it. We do rearrange furniture at times and that would be a bad time to find uncleaned stains or whatever that were neglected during the carpet cleaning. Just glad we noticed it while they were still here. read more

We were so pleased with Stanley Steamers in Iowa, but the reviews on Yelp rated them poor. However last week I decided to give the a call. I am so happy I did. They were awesome! As a person who has always cleaned carpets with my own steam-cleaner, I was ready to be wowed by having my carpets professionally cleaned. Sadly, I was not. I will say what gives them any stars, is that they were timely. The poor service started with the lady who answered my phone call and made my appointment. She was short, almost rude, and completely not hospitable. I had a change in my work hours, and when I called back to reschedule for later in the same day, the man who answered was also rude, and made it sound like my business wasn't worth the hassle of rescheduling. The guys entered and asked for a tour. As I was showing them the areas I was looking to have cleaned the tech repeatedly said, "oh that's not on your order," even though the voice message confirming the service the day prior was accurate. So here comes upcharge #1. I then tell him we are removing 2 rooms because they weren't ready to be cleaned, and I get salesman upcharge #2 about why I need to do it now. After an additional $75 for rooms that were supposed to be part of the original estimate, he then begins his upsale charge #3 which is the protection of the carpets; I had mentioned that we were putting our house in the market in a month, and his implication was that if we did not get this protection, we would need them to come back by then. Really? That does not give me confidence in your services right off the bat. Finally, the other positive is that the process does not take long. The guys arrived at 3:45, and they left around 6:15, for a 4 bedroom, loft, plus extra rooms, plus tile cleaning in the kitchen/laundry area. What the estimates don't tell you, is that even though their website claims that they will "move furniture", they really won't move anything that could break, meaning anything with a lamp on it, a washer/dryer (hello, why else would I want to pay someone to clean my laundry room?!), a king-size bed, etc. Every spot and high traffic area that was present on my carpet before cleaning is still present now. I found a 4ftx2ft spot of carpet that they entirely missed, dry dry carpet (because what they leave behind is OBVIOUSLY completely wet) and the guy instead of offering to get the spot he missed, tried to feed me bullshit about why that spot dried faster than any other spot in the entire house. Every spot that was left, he had a "well, these spots are hard to remove" excuse, including pet stains, which the advertising website specifically claims that they'll get out with no problem. High-traffic areas still look like high-traffic areas. The tile, although much improved, still looks like death around the border of the room, near the fridge , under the umoved fridge and washer/dryer, around the border of the toilet, under the bathroom sink, etc. All in all, while this saved me some time rather than steam cleaning my own house, there was NOT an increase in quality. Spots they claim they couldn't remove, I've easily removed on my own in the past, so I'm incredibly disappointed in this service, and the big increase in cost. I should say, I'm also generally not a negative reviewer. I typically don't review at all unless I get great service and I want people to know about it. But if I do end up needing my carpets cleaned again in a month before our house lists to sell, it WON'T be through Stanley Steemer. read more

I ordered up 3-room carpet cleaning and kitchen tile & grout cleaning online. Robbie & Jay showed up 2 hours before appointment window deadline, gave a thorough and informative consultation and got right to work. I have no pets and the only foot traffic is my own so the cleaning went smooth as silk. I had lightly vacuumed before their arrival and moved smallish tables, curios and small lamps. The R&J team was efficient, professional and friendly. I can honestly say the results were fantastic and this is coming from a confirmed neat freak. Worth every penny. read more

Had a 9:00-12:00 window for cleaning of a carpet in my home. They called 9:16am to tell me they would be there in 30 mins. After 40 mins I figured they may be lost so went outside to see if they needed a wave down. Looked around for few minutes and went back inside. I was sitting just 10 feet from my front door. At 10:15 went to check again and there was a "Sorry we missed you" door hanger from Stanley Steamer on my door. They never knocked or rang the doorbell. (I have 2 dogs that if they did anything but slink up to door to hang note, would have barked like crazy...) They just didn't want to work I can only guess. What a waste of time and fuel, as my home is quite far. I spent morning moving furniture and vaccuuming to prepare, so I called them back and talked to Micca who said they would still come back between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Day officially ruined. At 5:00pm called them back to see if still coming and spoke to Jasmine who told me the order was completely cancelled. Tried to reschedule for 4 days later. I told her nevermind that this was completely unprofessional and the only thing I would accept is that someone show up first thing to clean my 20'x20' carpet. No one from management has bothered to call to save this 25 year relationship. Shame on you, and there are many other smaller businesses that I will give my money too. Very happy with the service we received today. We had our entire second floor cleaned, which is all carpet. They called the day before to confirm time, cleaning area, and estimated price. On the day of service I was called and given a 30 minute arrival window. The two service techs were very friendly and did a great job. Our carpet is 12 years old and we have had 4 dogs for most of that time period. I was impressed with the number of stains that came out. Now granted, the carpet doesn't look new, buts it's lighter, fluffier, and the odors are gone. read more

These people were fabulous! The techs they sent to my home, Mark and Jason, were friendly, knowledgable and professional. They did three rooms in my house and the results knocked my socks off. I had considered doing this myself with rental equipment but my wife convinced me to try these folks because the price was so reasonable. What a good move that turned out to be. I would have had to spend at least two days of my time and probably twice as much money to get half the results Stanly Steemer achieved in a few hours with their knowledge and equipment. There are things I have learned in my life that are better left to professionals. Digging foundations, cutting and splitting firewood, drywall, and now, carpet cleaning. I would reccomend these people in a heartbeat and will definatly call them next time I need my carpets cleaned! read more

I'm very disappointed in my recent service; I had to actually go over my sectional to remove soiled areas after the service. In addition, they pressured my wife in giving them a tip. I'm not sure what kind of shady employees Stanley Steemer hires, but it's very disappointing to spend what we did to receive poor service, not to mention, making my very, very uncomfortable in demanding a tip. read more

Nice young men showed up on time. Then the 'up-sell' began...extra cost for this and that and if you want the 'good stuff'. The carpets look about the same as they were before cleaning and I can't express how disappointed i am over their poor job of tile grout cleaning and sealing. Two carpeted bedrooms and kitchen grout cleaning was $320.00 (price quoted over phone when making appointment was $263.00!) When I pointed out the grout still looked dirty and areas were darker than other areas, their reply 'we're sorry but...'. I will never use Stanley Steemer again! Paid $115 to get my bedroom, hallway, and stairs cleaned. Service crew was timely and professional; they used the proper equipment to protect the doors, walls, etc. during the visit. They did a good job, especially considering the poor condition of my carpet. The only negative comment I would have is that I did not appreciate all the upsell pitches afterward; they tried to sell me additional anti-bacterial service, deodorizing service, stain protection, stain-removal spray, and some sort of special doormat. I had scheduled an appointment weeks ago through the 1-800 number for Saturday afternoon between 1 and 5pm. At 3pm I called the local office to find out how soon the crew would be arriving. John told me he did not have me on his schedule. I told him I had all my furniture moved and ready for his crew. He said he could still send a crew that day and apologized for the inconvenience. At 4:30 the crew arrived and completed cleaning my living room and bedroom within minutes and it all turned out perfectly! My husband has actually done a better job of mopping our ceramic tile floor! We had Stanley Steemer come out this past week to do what I believed would be a thorough deep-cleaning type job on our tile/grout flooring. The technicians were very professional, on time, worked hard and were very respectful and consciencious regarding our home. However, we are still spot cleaning areas that are dirty that the process did not clean. I believe the equipment they used wasn't working properly. They went through the whole process but still left residue from the cleaner as well as dirt on the floors. I am disappointed. I don't think we got our monies' worth, and I do not recommend this company nor will I ever call on them again. JMP read more

October 2015: Time for a thorough carpet cleaning! Stanley Steemer was the cleaner of choice, though I'd never used them before. After speaking with the phone agent, the cleaning was set for the very next day. That day she called to say they had a change in schedule and could come earlier if that was convenient. It was....and soon Milo and AJ, Stanley Steemer professionals were at the door. After walking the areas to clean and my pointing out stains of mascara, syrup and various other unidentifiable areas, they got right to work. They were very conscientious, regarding vertical blinds, base boards, walls and unmoved furniture. Along with concentrating on the stains and traffic areas. What a SUPER job! What a great team they made. Totally professional in all aspects of their position. It's been nothing but a great experience having Stanley Steemer do this work. I'm all about Customer Service and I can say....from the beginning phone call to Milo and AJ walking out the door when they were done.....it was top notch Customer Service!
